Hotel Lennox isn’t an upscale, over the top “house” but, I really dig this place especially for the cost. Its located right in town and my room had French doors and a small balcony that looked directly over the main street in Ushuaia. In the background, over the roof tops, were the beauty of the mountains. The location is perfect, the staff pleasant and the hotel itself is comfortable, tasteful and clean. This is an awesome choice for a average cost stay in Ushuaia. I'm a fan of the Lennox.
Check in/out The front desk are not the most welcoming in the industry but were helpful. The 10am checkout I think is not industry standard. Location Just one word superb Rooms The linen and towels are faded. The pillowcase has a stain. Checks on the rooms post cleaning are obviously not done. The other issue is sockets there is only one In room. As they only provide you with one key when leaving the room you can’t leave anything to charge whilst you are out as the keycard is needed to switch on electrics. If you leave another card in the slot the cleaner takes it off The radiators make so much noise and found controlling temperature very difficult Pillows are not the most comfortable. Breakfast Lovely staff at breakfast and the scrambled eggs are great. My only criticism is the toaster doesn’t toast. You need around 10 minutes to get a good piece of toast as you need to put bread in for three cycles. Surely invest in a better toaster The view from breakfast area Is fab. There is a friendly cute seagull every morning waiting for titbits For the price we paid we expected more
The Hotel Lennox Ushuaia is located directly on the Main Street; a stone's throw away from everything and absolute perfect location from which to explore the surrounding city. This was probably our favorite part of staying here; we walked everywhere in the very walkable and safe city with no issues whatsoever. The hotel lobby is renovated and modern looking, the front desk staff speaks great English, and breakfast is served on the fourth floor overlooking the city and the Beagle Channel. A perfect view in the morning to start the day. Breakfast was great as well - scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, pastries, coffee, tea, and more! We had a room with a balcony facing the street which was very nice. There WILL be some street noise in the evening - bring your ear plugs and sleep mask, though this can be said for most of the stays we had in South America. It feels like they've put some effort into this hotel but there's clearly a few things that are very "off" with this place: - There is a solitary power outlet in the room which was worn out and didn't hold our power plug in place; we managed to get it working by placing a glass in between the power outlet and desk to hold the power plug in place. Although we notified the front desk staff, the issue never really got resolved and we had to deal with fiddling with the power outlet to charge our devices. Thankfully we had a 4-port travel charger and a huge power bank or we would have had much larger issues. - The pillowcase was stained when we got to the room; promptly replaced by the housekeeping staff. - My side of the mattress had a sunken spot so I had some issues sleeping None of these are large issues, and Lennox delivered the basics (English speaking staff, good breakfast, generally decent room) and the location is perfect. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised to find similar issues everywhere else in Ushuaia. I'd probably stay here again for the location alone, but be prepared that you might deal with some issues along the way.
We stayed here for 4 nights in November 2017. Pros: location is perfect for Ushuaia, the view from the restaurant is stunning, the restaurant staff was exceptional. Cons: Housekeeping and reception staff left a lot to be desired. We had a stained pillow and sheets during our stay, we arrived to only 1 clean towel in the bathroom, and our mini-fridge door was left open. Regarding reception, the English fluency varies greatly. One receptionist spoke very little English, and when we asked if the hotel had late check out (the day before we were leaving) because 10am is a very early check out time, she told us no because all the rooms were full, which didn't make a whole lot of sense. She also made us wait for 20 minutes after we did check out because the credit card machine was not working (even though our credit card was on file) and she had to call someone to come fix it, but did not explain the delay. If we go back to Ushuaia, I think we may try our luck at a different hotel.
I asked to eat breakfast 15 minutes before opening, and I did not get it!!! I asked evening in advance; I arrived to the restaurant and was refused. Such a service is un-acceptable. I already wrote it to the manager
This hotel is very well located in the Main Street surrounded with all the shops, bars and restaurants. Rooms are nice and clean but on the down side check out is 10am and check in 3pm. Also the stuff will always be at your service but most of them doesn’t speak English, but that adds some charm to the Argentina trip.
I stayed 3 nights at the Lennox Hotel in the middle of the city. I loved my little room. Reception was very friendly and knowledgeable and recommended restaurants. the breakfast room was on the top floor with a view over the downtown buildings, the port and the snow-capped mountains that surround the city.
Poor room next to fire escape lift and laundry. Staff using fire escape outside our window for access to roof space. Average breakfast, average bathroom. This place is superficially ok, but scratch the surface and it's not even as good as that
The best thing about the hotel is the view and location. But the rooms are dark, hot, and the loud. I could hear all my neighbors conversations, the bathroom was gross, and the despite turning off the heat the room was baking hot.
The hotel is greatly located. It is on Ushuaia's main street very close to main shops. If your room is located on the front side you may hear cars' noises during the evening. Rooms are a bit small, cleaning is OK. The restaurant service is great. The staff is really kind and willing to help you. Breakfast is very good, it could be better by offering pancakes or other salted option apart from scrambled eggs (Argentinian breakfast is sweet, mainly with croissants or toasts with jam). The menu for lunch or dinner is good. Soups are really good. I recommend the Ice Cream cup made of Calafate Ice Cream. The lounge is very comfortable and a great place to spend the afternoon.
