Excellent quality/cost ratio, very friendly and professional staff. A bit far from the city center but it takes only a few minutes by taxi, which are not expensive.

We had a great experience at Hosteria El Recodo. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is new and located in an area under development and a few kilometers away from downtown. It may not be as convenient as you think if you are not driving a vehicle.

Nice & Cozy Hosteria

This is a charming little hotel, with a nice courtyard where you can enjoy a nice bottle of Argentinian wine. I stayed in a triple with two other girls, and it was a little cozy, but nice and clean. Their breakfast set up was a little confusing - you have to sit at a specific table with your room number. Most of the staff spoke little English, but we were able to get by. It was a good value for the accommodation. It is a little far from the port and main eating establishments, but it is only about a $6 cab ride to get to the city center.

Very exceptional staff!

The receptionist was friendly and would give suggestions, call cabs, or provide maps. They were always available. The hotel is about a 45 minute walk into the center of town, but well worth it. We stayed at another hotel four blocks from the center of town, and it was considerably more expensive, and not nearly as nice. Breakfast was wonderful, well organized, and great view. The rooms at Hosteria del Recodo are spacious and have lots of cabinets to keep things organized while there for a few days.

Nice, quiet hotel 2.5 km from the center of town

A small, intimate hotel in a quiet neighborhood of reasonably upscale private homes and boutique hotels. Very good for those wishing to stay outside of downtown. Neat whole log construction downstairs is compelling, as is the great view of the mountains from the public areas on the second floor. The thick high quality sheets, down duvets and in-floor radiant heating was notably impressive in this relatively modest price range. The breakfast (included) was okay, but not a highlight. Unsurprising negative factors would be the distance into the town center and limited tourist attractions in the neighborhood. The sound insulation in the rooms was also a little disappointing, as was the clunky, manual operating keys and conflict with online paid reservation that prompted a charge on checkout that will hopefully not be a duplicate.

Everything was fine till the last day when the lady from reception told my father in a rude way that we couldn't leave because we were owing them money; we did the check out the last night with another person and all the bills were paid. What bothered us was the way in which she said it, not the correct one to treat a guest

Lovely Hotel

The staff were really helpful with arranging transport to the National Park, calling for taxi's to the airport and downtown. The supper was delicious. Room was really comfortable and spacious

Great for a layover

You only stay at this hotel because you have a layover in Buenos Aires, all other hotels besides one other are at least half an hour away, this is the cheaper one and great value for money, very basic so don't expect too much, great service with english speaking personel to help, they also offer free shuttles to the airport

Das Service Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit, es ist ein uriges Hotel und landestypisch mit vielen internationalen Gäste. Das Frühstück war Landestypisch und durch Wurst und Müsli aufgewertet, wem das nicht gefällt sollte nicht ins Auskand reisen. Unter den Betten sollte mal Staub gewischt werden.

Kein Hotel zur Weiterempfehlung

Unser Empfang im Hotel war sehr schwierig, es wurde kein Wort Englisch gesprochen. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr weit vom Centrum entfernt. Man muss immer ein nicht gerade billiges Taxi nehmen, der Bus der bei der Buchung besprochen wurde den gibt es nicht. Im Zimmer und am Balkon war Müll von unseren Vorgängern. Das Frühstück war sehr, sehr dürftig. Man hat sich als Gast nicht wohl gefühlt
