The Rossio hotel is in a great location in Portalegre. They have their own parking for a few cars so it was most convenient. They serve a nice breakfast and the staff is most accommodating. We did not like the first room they offered us and for an extra 10 euros they upgraded to a great room with a great view.

In my opinion this hotel should be a 3 star hotel. The breakfast was good however I booked the garden view room and it was not a garden it was a patio in between the rooms .. I asked to change room and we were changed to a twin room and charged the same. The scale didn't work and I didn't feel that this hotel met up to the description I had read.

Comfortable, Clean, Modern Hotel

Well located, new and modern hotel in the centre of Portalegre. Well priced with a family feel and excellent rooms, maintained to a high standard and kept very clean. No turn down service which is great as i never see the point of that annoying service anyway! Breakfast was fine, not brilliant but perfectly adequate for the business day ahead. Wifi worked well, not super fast but again more than adequate for the job in hand. I've already booked up my return!
