We stayed here overnight in October. It is a very comfortable modern hotel within a ten minute walk of the outer edge of the inner city. Parking along the street is free and seems abundant. This is an advantage for a city with limited parking in the inner city. Breakfast is not included and is rather expensive but there are many good and reasonably priced cafes and bakery shops nearby for breakfast. It is difficult to find so rely on Gps or a very good map to get there.
I stayed one night at the Parkhotel Görlitz and it was great. The hotel is located next to the city park and the border to Poland. It's a quite and safe area and you're close to the Old Town of Görlitz – 7 min walking distance. You can park your car on the road next to the hotel or on a parking area not far away (next to the bridge across the Neisse River or in the underground garage of the hotel. The check in was quick and the staff was very friendly. A late check out at 2pm was also possible. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, but there very many visible stains on the bathroom floor. Instead of booking breakfast in the hotel, I decided to have breakfast in a café – there are many small coffee shops and cafés in the Old Town of Görlitz.
My mother and I stayed here during our recent trip to Germany to visit my son. He had a concert at Peterskirsch. This hotel is just lovely. The staff is very friendly. We had my son's dog with us and they even had a dog bowl and blanket for him in the room. Our room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel is situated in a park area and it's a really nice place to take a stroll. The whole town has so much character and it's worth the visit. If you're staying there, I highly recommend getting the buffet breakfast. It was extremely well made and all items were freshly made and not at all processed. You can tell the restaurant staff take pride in their work.
On a recent trip to Gorlitz for a family function, we stayed at the Park Hotel. This hotel has a pretty location set in the parkland by the river which separates Gorlitz from it's Polish neighbour. Nice hotel and large bedroom. Only problem was that at the end of June the weather was hot and humid and the hotel rooms don't have air conditioning or fans of any type. Consequently the room was extremely hot and uncomfortable for sleeping even with the window open. They could do with providing fans of some description in the summer moths. Also, I personally found the pillows very, very sink into soft, which gave me an aching neck. The breakfast buffet choice was reasonably good and there were additional items that could be ordered free of charge, our breakfast was included in the price of the room. We didn't have an evening meal in the hotel so I can't comment on that. An enjoyable stay.
We just left this hotel this morning. Beautiful hotel good prices are room overlooked a lovely Garden. Very quiet restful night. Friendly staff. Totally would recommend this hotel to any one. Although we did not have breakfast it looked to be a lovely spread
We went for a advent weekend to Görlitz and stayed at the Parkhotel. The rooms were very nice and clean and provided a lot of space. But above all the service and friendliness as well at the reception as at the breakfast was a joy. Every single staff member was always ready to help and found solutions to issues or question we raised. This is how service should be. And then considering the price we paid it was just so more joy to spend the weekend in Görlitz.
We love this hotel. The room was surprisingly big, clean and the bed was perfectly comfortable. The centre is about 10 minutes walk, but we didn't feel this way long, because we enjoyed the nearly traditional houses and athmospere of the town. The parking is good, there is an undergarage of the hotel. We just recommend this hotel.
We wish we could have stayed longer! Excellent location - close to the old town, between the two bridges over to Poland, with a view of the river. All the touristic sites are within walking distance. The room was spacious and welcoming, a baby bed had been set up for us, and the staff were remarkably friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and modern and we'll be happy to return.
Set in park land by the river this is a lovely location. It is about a 10 minute walk to the old town centre where you can find lots of places to eat. The staff at the hotel were helpful and check in easy ( in English) . We chose to park our car underneath (11 euro) and have breakfast at the hotel ( 13 euro each ) which was ok. The rooms were quiet, clean and well equipped. The beds and pillows soft .
We lucked into this place and what a great surprise it turned out to be. Very large and well appointed room. The location is wonderful, with the river right out front. Plenty of room for evening walk or morning run, with easy access to both German and Polish sides of the river. While the Gorlitz city center is an easy walk, we opted for dinner in Poland. The river is lined with restaurants on the Polish side. We also paid a visit to a local festival in the park just in back of the hotel. Breakfast was a mixed bag and too busy for the staff to handle. Table menus offered omelets and more, but we never did get the server's attention. Fortunately the buffet was more than adequate. A stop in Gorlitz is a nice break for on a trip into Poland and the Parkhotel is a bright spot in a charming town. It isn't in the city center, but the riverside is a nice alternative.
