Just returning from a week at unit W403 at The Tuscany and can attest that this property lived up to it's billing as one of the best in the Caribbean. Tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished, providing this traveler with everything needed for a restful and peaceful week away. Property location is ideal for couples, away from the busier areas on Grace Bay. Beautiful views, great beachfront and warm and considerate staff with daily housekeeping, and beautiful surroundings made this a great stay. Highly recommended. Contact Shawnamae for more information, she was most helpful with arranging our stay. One of our best vacation stays ever...
We just returned from a one week stay at The Tuscany (with two kids and two grandparents) and everything was just perfect. Great views, great accommodations, right on the beach, close to most of the action in Provo (but just far away for solitude). The service staff were attentive and helpful. Everything was just perfect. I would add, I was initially reluctant to stay here because I was not sure about the lack of on-site restaurant and water activities. Well, it was a non-issue. The restaurant next door was amazing (and dollar for dollar the best food we had in Provo). Likewise, renting a kayak next door was a breeze. So if you're also reluctant for these reasons, don't be. You won't regret staying at The Tuscany.
We just returned from an amazing trip and stay at the Tuscany. First, Turks has the most beautiful beaches you could ever hope to find. The Tuscany is located on a particularly pristine stretch of Grace Bay. The units are meticulously clean, spacious and comfortable. We were traveling with extended family, including small children and having the kitchen and washer/dryer in the unit made things so easy. The grounds and pool are well kept. It is a bit removed from many of the shops and restaurants but the quiet and relaxed atmosphere more than made up for it. The staff are simply wonderful. In particular Shaquell and Coretta were incredibly helpful in setting up several dinner reservations and helping us plan some special events for our parents including a photo session on the beach. They greeted our family like old friends and we couldn’t have felt more welcome. We are already planning next year’s trip back to the Tuscany. If you want a resort with lots of high-end amenities and activities I’d suggest looking closer to the center of town. But if you want a laid-back, relaxed vacation in the most beautiful location, the Tuscany is a great choice.
Our family has been visiting Turks and Caicos for 24 years. In recent years we have stayed at the Regent Grand and Seven Stars...both lovely but they are located on a more congested part of Grace Bay beach. Due to that, we decided to try The Tuscany ( located on a much quieter and wider part of Grace Bay) and I am beyond thrilled we did! The magnificent property has 30 units, all with breathtaking ocean front views. The grounds are immaculately kept with manicured lawns, plants and flowers. There is a peace and tranquility to The Tuscany because it only has 30 units and no restaurant (for convenience there is a walking path to the Cabana Bar at the Ocean Club where you can eat if desired). There are ample beach chairs and umbrellas so no one is competing for a spot. A nice touch is a cooler filled with cold bottled water for guests to take to the beach. Our unit was beautifully decorated with the jaw dropping ocean view as the focal point. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything you could possibly want. The bathrooms were filled with lovely amenities and fluffy towels and extremely well lit. What truly sets this property apart from all of the others, is the fantastic staff with their over and above commitment to service and genuine warmth. From the moment I made our reservation, Shaquelle and Shawnemae were in constant communication to insure that all of our pre arrival needs were met. They arranged for food items to be purchased and in our refrigerator on arrival day along with transportation to greet us at the airport. Since I was traveling with my 17 month old granddaughter, they even had a baby car seat in the transport SUV. The crib, linens and high chair were in our unit as were the requested hypoallergenic bedding. They happily made dinner reservations for us and always wanted to know the next day how we enjoyed our meal. Corretta also deserves recognition for helping make our stay so special. She was a wonderful resource and made my granddaughter's first Easter egg hunt incredibly special. The housekeeping staff was A+ ...Ann kept our unit spotless...she even arranged the baby's books and toys daily. Terria Misick is an extraordinary General Manager to keep her staff so motivated and happy. The smiles of her entire team are genuine which is a rarity in this day and age. Our family cannot wait to return to The Tuscany. It is indeed a very unique and special property!
We returned to the Tuscany for the fourth time in March 2018 with our tween/teen kids after not having been in a couple years and after our visit we vowed to not let so much time go by before visiting again!! It goes without saying that the beach is stunning and the fact that The Tuscany at the very end of the developed part of Grace Bay makes it even more special because the beach is so much more quiet than at the larger resorts ... and because The Tuscany is a smaller resort, you can always find a great spot on the beach - no matter how many you are traveling with. But beyond that - the property itself is so well maintained - we've been visiting for almost 10 years and it is still pristine - from the grounds to the pool to the beach, it really is just gorgeous. The rooms are tasteful, comfortable and very well-appointed and we love amenities like daily maid service and also love having a kitchen and dining area for times when we want to stay in for a relaxed morning or evening meal. The staff at the Tuscany, though, is what really makes it such a special place. Terria and Shawnemae are so incredibly helpful and accommodating - always willing to make a phone call for a last minute dinner reservation or boat trip - they are truly the BEST! We can't say enough about how special the Tuscany is - we look forward to returning for many, many more years!!
First, we cannot say enough nice things about the condo itself. It was very clean, spacious, modern, fully equipped with everything we needed. The pool is very nice but the beach is the big draw and we spent most of our time there. Watch for the guys from Cabana Bar next door as they will deliver your food and drink orders to your beach chair! The staff at the Tuscany was extremely helpful. This was our first visit to TCI and Shawamae really guided us through the process, suggesting a number of possible activities and making arrangements for those we selected. We would also recommend taking advantage of their offer to do your grocery shopping before you arrive. We emailed a grocery list to Shawnamae several days before our arrival and the kitchen was fully stocked for us! The was a fee for this service but it was well worth it. Also, don't be put off by the lack of a restaurant on site. The Cabana Beach Bar and Opus are both right next door at the Ocean Club and we ate at both. We plan to stay at the Tuscany again on our next trip and can't wait to get back.
We stayed at The Tuscany for a week in March. The property was beautiful, very clean, and well appointed. Maid service was daily, although we often skipped it. On the days we skipped, the maids were happy to provide more water/clean beach or regular towels/shampoo/etc. Beach chairs were abundant (no additional charge) and the neighboring restaurant does beachside service with great food and yummy drinks. They had several floats and boogie boards and beach toys available for use at no charge. They also kept a cooler filled with water bottles near the beach for guest consumption at no charge. There were several bikes you could use (also at no charge) and it was fun to bike ride to some of the little shops nearby. It definitely felt nice not to be nickled and dime'd at every turn because in general, food and beverage is pretty expensive (a case of miller light is around $65). Around the corner is a small market for alcohol and/or grocery needs and a large supermarket is a quick cab ride away. All of the employees we encountered were helpful and friendly. They were also very responsive to questions from the minute we booked until our arrival. Cab drivers were also friendly and reasonable (cab ride from airport is about $20 per person and it's very easy to find one when you arrive but you can prearrange a vip service for about 2x that. We didn't rent a car - the office provides renters with a cell phone for the week and they arranged cab service for us or gave us numbers to call. The office was also very helpful in arranging dinner reservations/tours/water sports/etc. We've been all over the Caribbean and the combo of great staff and beautiful Grace Bay Beach has been our favorite! This property is away from the mayhem on the beach of the all inclusive resorts (it's an easy beach walk to get there if you are so inclined) but has plenty of activity including a hobie cat/paddle board rental one property over so you don't feel too excluded. But unlike other Caribbean destinations, you aren't constantly asked to buy things/get your hair braided/etc. Again, perfect combo! The airport though is the one weakness. Controlled chaos is an understatement. Just know you will spend a long time (we got there 3 hrs before our flight) there and make sure you have a lengthy connection because several flights get delayed because they just can't handle the air traffic.
We just got back from a fantastic time at The Tuscany. As everyone else writes, Shawna was wonderful, as was everyone else on staff. I cannot say enough. I knew things were going to go well when the hotel contacted me a few weeks before the trip to see if I needed to have any reservations made. During our stay, I got a nail in my tire. The hotel came to my rescue with an air pump so I could get my tire filled again so I could take it back to Avis to be repaired. I have never been to a hotel that went to such lengths to take care of me! The rooms are immaculate. And huge. And well air-conditioned. The porches are all screened in, which was awesome. If you read the reviews about the island, you will see things are not cheap. We ended up eating breakfast every day in our full kitchen and ate most lunches there, too. That kept our food bill down so we could really go out at night and enjoy the restaurants on the island. We were very glad that we didn't do an all-inclusive, because then we would not have explored the island (and its restaurants) nearly as much. And when we visited other resorts (when we were picking up other riders on our parasail), it looked like the all-inclusives were very crowded. Our beach was very quiet and private and beautiful. The hotel sits at the very end of Grace Bay and feels as if it is a world apart from the line of resorts on the other end. When we wanted to go sailing, the Hobie Cats next door were easy to rent. When my son wanted a virgin daiquiri, the bar at the Ocean Club next door was quick to accomodate. When we wanted to go parasailing, Shawna had us setup with an appointment in five minutes. The Tuscany staff is not in your face like they can be at other places. But as soon as you need help, the staff gets you whatever is needed! And no one is ever going to corner you to try and sell you a condo! We rented a van and were able to get anywhere we needed quickly and easily. The gourmet Graceway supermarket had most of what we needed and we only had to go to the main grocery store once. We drove all over the island and felt that The Tuscany was perfectly situated. It is on the far end of Grace Bay, but that puts it closer to Long Bay and to the marina (where three of our tours started) at the east end of the island. In short, we felt The Tuscany was perfect.
Having stayed on Grace Bay and North Caicos for previous trips - all of them spectacular - we researched the heck out of this one because we would be there for 12 days. The Tuscany was PERFECT. We wanted a quiet condo on the Leeward end, with excellent accommodations, fantastic service, etc. Did I mention we researched exhaustively? The Tuscany was everything we hoped and expected and more at every turn. Shaquell and Coretta were exceptional with every request. Everyone in our party (mom, dad, 2 year old, grandmother, and nanny) had a great time and The Tuscany deserves a ton of the credit. We will be back to the Tuscany without question. If you haven't been to T&C before and if mosquitoes love you, one bit of advice is to think seriously about the fact that The Tuscany has giant screened lanais . . . most Grace Bay hotels, including some of the most exclusive, do NOT. You do not want to have to wear sweats or bug spray on your expensive, unscreened Grace Bay patio.
Just returned from a week's stay at The Tuscany with extended family (ranging in age from 4 - 65+), and we were all heartbroken to leave! The apartments were beautiful, modern, and well-equipped. Daily housekeeping ensured everything stayed immaculate, and most importantly all the apartment balconies face directly onto Grace Bay's amazing beach. Also, because the property is near the end of the strip, the beach is not too crowded or loud, which ensured our vacation was exactly the relaxing retreat we needed. All the staff at The Tuscany were warm and gracious; we were greeted with hugs when we checked in as though coming to see old friends. The front desk was happy to help arrange activities, make dinner reservations, whatever we needed. We were given a local cell phone at check-in, which was a convenient little extra. The pool was gorgeous! The water was clean and very lightly chlorinated, and there were always lounge chairs available so we didn't have to fight for a spot to lay out. Rafts and floaties are available poolside if one just wants to laze on the water. Please note the "hot tub" was not actually hot, it was only a few degrees warmer than the rest of the pool. At the end of March it occasionally felt a tad brisk when the wind picked up, but that said, we still swam and loved every minute! The beach was absolutely glorious, there is no other word to describe Grace Bay. The sand was powdery and perfect, and the water was the most amazing shade of aqua you've ever seen. Beach chairs with umbrellas were comfy and convenient, a cooler full of water was refreshed multiple times a day, and kids toys were stocked near the boardwalk for building sand castles and fun little sand sculptures. Watching sunsets from our balcony or the beach was magical, and during the day sailboats, parasailers, and kite surfers dotted the skyline with bright spots of color. TL;DR - Stay here for a quiet and awesome vacation!
