2nd visit to the Atrium after the last stay in 2014. Still as great as it was but they made it a bit better. The little shop seems to have more of a presence. The lounges and umbrellas on the beach are more consistent. The units have been well maintained over the time period and still look new. Make sure you rent a car unless you are willing to take taxis. However the beach is only a 10min walk or you can hail the golf cart that will drive you from the resort to the beach. The front office was excellent from the start to finish. The swimming pool is as fantastic as it always has been. So overall very pleased again and hope to be back soon.
We have spent 10 days in a second floor delux suite. The room was large and in like new condition. The balcony was large with comfortable seating. Most rooms are pool view. The kitchen had the basic tolls , knives need to be sharpened. I do not believe the room we stayed in was privately owned since there are no pics on the wallets or nick-backs on shelves. The bath and shower are vary nice good water and pressure. The bed was a little too hard for me , I had a bit of pain when I woke up. The hall lighting is a bit intense at night. The pool is great and there are plenty of pool chairs. The beach is one of the best , the walk to the beach is said to be 8 min, yes if you are speed walking. We drove to the beach the second time. The manager Robert was always available during the day, will to help out with any requests.
My parents and I stayed at the Atrium Resort for 8 nights and we loved it! It has a large, clean pool, is a short 8 minute walk to a gorgeous beach (they supply loungers and umbrellas) and is only a short 4 minute drive to Grace Bay where there is some shopping, rentals and great restaurants. The best part about this resort is that it's very safe and secure. Not only do they have their own security guard full-time, but the resort is in the Leeward Community where during the day (usually) and always at night there are security guards who keep a close eye on things. This resort was also very quiet, which was perfect as we are not drinkers or party people. Sometimes you had the pool all to yourself! Inside condo was huge (1 bdrm, 1.5 bath), modern fixtures and very clean. All towels, dishes, Tupperware, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, etc was provided. We truly enjoyed our stay and I can't think of anything negative to say!
This property is magnificent. We have stayed at beachfront resorts on the island, but have never experienced such a peaceful vacation. The outdoor pool is huge and the water was very warm. There is also a waterfall which makes spending time here incredible. The other guests we met at the resort are very friendly. The beach is excellent and not as crowded as the main part of Grace Bay. It is a 5 minute walk/1 minute drive. I highly recommend renting a car and we used this extensively to go grocery shopping. The condo suite was immaculately clean and had a front-load washer and dryer, which allowed us to travel light. We cooked many meals in the kitchen and enjoyed those on our balcony. The staff is always available but never in your way. The onsite convenience store has a selection of convenience items and a nice selection of wines and beer. Apparently, I heard that they also offer pre-orders in case you want groceries delivered to your room prior to arrival. This might be really convenient if you are checking-in late. I had a number of massages at the onsite spa, including deep tissue, hot stone, and Swedish, and they were all amazing. The local IGA store has a nice selection of meats, seafood, as well as organic products. If you are looking for a party atmosphere and crowds, this is not for you. However, if you just want to go to the beach, hang around the pool, read a book and relax, I highly recommend this. This is truly a home away from home. We can’t wait to come back.
We stayed in a two bedroom condo, ground floor overlooking the pool. We absolutely loved it. I was concerned about sharing accommodations with our friends but the condo was large enough to provide ample space between the bedrooms. Only one bedroom has an ensuite, but the other bathroom is across the hall from the back bedroom. The Atrium is very clean and well kept. Beautiful gardens and very attentive staff. We used the spa for a hot stone massage and thai massage. We loved it. Very professional staff. Staying in Leeward means renting a car but you are saving a lot of money by not staying in Grace Bay. We drove to different beaches everyday. The beach for the hotel is beautiful with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. I would highly recommend this resort.
If you are looking for a relaxing vacation then this is the place. It is a short distance from the big resorts so shopping and nightlife are not far, but when you return to the Atrium it is like being home. No big crowds or noise. You can sit and relax on your balcony and not be bothered. Plenty of loungers at the beach, and the employees are always helpful if more are needed. The beach is nicer than Grace Bay Beach because it is the same stretch of beach, but no crowds. There is an on site spa which we heard was very good. If you are looking for a crowded high energy resort where you are pampered(for a high price) then this is NOT the place. If you are looking for an inexpensive, but high quality secure place to relax and take a breather, then this is the place. This was our third visit to the Atrium, and we will definitely return.
As a general rule, you can't really have a bad time on Provo. I have been 5 times and stayed at 5 different places, and have had a great time each trip. The weather and beaches cannot be beat. I more or less knew what we were getting into with the Atrium. It's a condo - not a resort at all - and it's about a 10 minute walk (or 3 minute drive/5 minute golf cart ride) to Grace Bay Beach. For the price, I would say the Atrium makes sense. It's not "cheap," by any means, but about half of what you would pay at a premium resort on the beach. I think they intended the place to be more of a resort, as there are unoccupied/non-functioning spaces like a swim up bar, restaurant area, jazz club -- it's a little sad to see those not being used to their full potential. My biggest gripe would be this: Lounge Chairs. There are simply not enough by the pool. The pool area is very nice, but they literally had 12 chairs for what I would estimate was more than 120 guests staying at the property. And, while they do provide some chair set ups on the beach, some of those chairs were broken (i.e., you couldn't prop up the backs, but just had to lay flat on them). I only had that issue one of the days when the beach was pretty crowded - the other days I was able to get usable chairs. We stayed in a 3 bedroom "penthouse." The third bedroom was basically unusable for us. It is on a separate floor that you access via an outside spiral staircase. It is like a little studio apartment, but it was extremely musty/smelly. Also, for a "3 bedroom penthouse," the overall interior space was tight. European style, I would say. The balcony is very spacious and nice though. I thought the kitchen was well equipped; made breakfast every morning, but ate all other meals out. Very clean and nice grounds. There is also a hot tub on the balcony (at least for the 3 bedroom). However, you have to pay $50 a day with a minimum of 5 days purchase if you want to actually use it. I found that kind of cheap feeling/annoying and we didn't opt to use it. I understand the reason behind it, but I would have rather paid more per day (as a built in charge) and just had it functioning and usable. I would suggest renting a car. You can rent economy cars for relatively cheap on the island. We usually rent from the Avis by the airport. In short, I probably would stay here again if I didn't want to splurge - but it wouldn't be my first choice. (Note: check out Reef Residences as an alternative. Much closer to beach, kind of budget, but they have daily maid service)
Near the end of Providenciales, about 10 minutes from Grace Bay. Very clean and well maintained, a little light in the dishes, pots and pans that are supplied but you certainly can get by. We had a ground floor that lead right to the "huge" pool, very nice for that morning or late night swim. The beach is about a five minute walk or there is a shuttle that will take you, umbrellas and beach chairs are there supplied by the Atrium. The Provo golf course is quite close by as well. There is small store that has some supplies but it is small, you'll need to stock up on groceries when you arrive, if you intend to do most of your dinning in house. This is a very good resort for young children as well.
I absolutely loved my stay. They have put a new manager in and he is fantastic. What I love is firstly the price per night is incredibly inexpensive for what you get. I walk across the road the supermarket has more items than my grocery stores in Canada. And than take it back to my unit and cook at my leisure. Sit by the pool and relax with a beer and it's minutes walk to the most gorgeous beach in all of Turks. I've already pre booked my next vacation. I strongly advise this property, it's not the Tuscany but it's a fraction of the cost.
We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit as Interval Timeshare owners It's a very low profile resort which mostly caters to residents If you want housekeeping , it's a deeper ate charge of $80 each time No bars or restaurants and a short walk to the beach Rooms and resort are very clean and well kept Nothing negative to report
