The Atrium Resort

As a general rule, you can't really have a bad time on Provo. I have been 5 times and stayed at 5 different places, and have had a great time each trip. The weather and beaches cannot be beat. I more or less knew what we were getting into with the Atrium. It's a condo - not a resort at all - and it's about a 10 minute walk (or 3 minute drive/5 minute golf cart ride) to Grace Bay Beach. For the price, I would say the Atrium makes sense. It's not "cheap," by any means, but about half of what you would pay at a premium resort on the beach. I think they intended the place to be more of a resort, as there are unoccupied/non-functioning spaces like a swim up bar, restaurant area, jazz club -- it's a little sad to see those not being used to their full potential. My biggest gripe would be this: Lounge Chairs. There are simply not enough by the pool. The pool area is very nice, but they literally had 12 chairs for what I would estimate was more than 120 guests staying at the property. And, while they do provide some chair set ups on the beach, some of those chairs were broken (i.e., you couldn't prop up the backs, but just had to lay flat on them). I only had that issue one of the days when the beach was pretty crowded - the other days I was able to get usable chairs. We stayed in a 3 bedroom "penthouse." The third bedroom was basically unusable for us. It is on a separate floor that you access via an outside spiral staircase. It is like a little studio apartment, but it was extremely musty/smelly. Also, for a "3 bedroom penthouse," the overall interior space was tight. European style, I would say. The balcony is very spacious and nice though. I thought the kitchen was well equipped; made breakfast every morning, but ate all other meals out. Very clean and nice grounds. There is also a hot tub on the balcony (at least for the 3 bedroom). However, you have to pay $50 a day with a minimum of 5 days purchase if you want to actually use it. I found that kind of cheap feeling/annoying and we didn't opt to use it. I understand the reason behind it, but I would have rather paid more per day (as a built in charge) and just had it functioning and usable. I would suggest renting a car. You can rent economy cars for relatively cheap on the island. We usually rent from the Avis by the airport. In short, I probably would stay here again if I didn't want to splurge - but it wouldn't be my first choice. (Note: check out Reef Residences as an alternative. Much closer to beach, kind of budget, but they have daily maid service)

Near the end of Providenciales, about 10 minutes from Grace Bay. Very clean and well maintained, a little light in the dishes, pots and pans that are supplied but you certainly can get by. We had a ground floor that lead right to the "huge" pool, very nice for that morning or late night swim. The beach is about a five minute walk or there is a shuttle that will take you, umbrellas and beach chairs are there supplied by the Atrium. The Provo golf course is quite close by as well. There is small store that has some supplies but it is small, you'll need to stock up on groceries when you arrive, if you intend to do most of your dinning in house. This is a very good resort for young children as well.

I absolutely loved my stay. They have put a new manager in and he is fantastic. What I love is firstly the price per night is incredibly inexpensive for what you get. I walk across the road the supermarket has more items than my grocery stores in Canada. And than take it back to my unit and cook at my leisure. Sit by the pool and relax with a beer and it's minutes walk to the most gorgeous beach in all of Turks. I've already pre booked my next vacation. I strongly advise this property, it's not the Tuscany but it's a fraction of the cost.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit as Interval Timeshare owners It's a very low profile resort which mostly caters to residents If you want housekeeping , it's a deeper ate charge of $80 each time No bars or restaurants and a short walk to the beach Rooms and resort are very clean and well kept Nothing negative to report

Another week, another island.... This stay was for a full week business trip on TCI and the apartment was booked by my company. The first point is that this is a resort location, not a hotel, so you have to lower your expectations in terms of service and facilities. It is a series of apartment blocks where some are permanently occupied by owners and the rest are let out for rental income. The fact that there is no maid service and no linen/sheets are changed during a 5 night stay is what you can expect at such a location. This means that the likes of you and me who stay there are going to lose out in certain areas, the big minus being there is no bar/restaurant, only a little shop that shuts at 6pm. There used to be a bar but it was 'too noisy' for the resident owners so was shutdown. There is a games room for the kids and that is about it. The rooms are all self contained with kitchenettes, so you won't starve, but don't expect to walk out of the place and find a nice cafe/restaurant/bar. The Grace Bay strip mall is a fast 5 minutes drive away, or 10 mins if you obey the 20 mph limits. I had two major issues with the room - there was no hot water in the shower, I reported it to the security guard (there is no receptionist) and when I got back in the evening they had changed the shower control unit. Full marks! The second was that the battery ran out on the keylock, this was duly disassembled and replaced only to find my key-card and the guards key-cards did not work. It took about 15 mins to find the manager who re-programmed everything. No hassle really, it was a warm evening.... At the end of the day it was a perfectly acceptable location and room, but that is all. There are no hotel facilities so you will need a car/scooter/bikes to see you through the day. One feature that beats every other hotel I have stayed in was the speed of the internet! Each room has its own WiFi router and it was blindingly fast. If you are on a business trip the Atrium is fine as you are only using your room to sleep and hammer out emails. If you are on a vacation it may not be what you are looking for.

We stayed her in February of 2015. The hotel and rooms were nice and spacious. Our room had a kitchen which was a big plus. It felt more like an apartment that we lived in vs a hotel room which was fun. The real appeal was the pool. It is the biggest in providenciales and really beautiful. The downsides of this hotel for me was the lack of staff and the fact that it doesnt really have direct beach access. The hotel is not centrally located but a quick drive away from many of the beachfront hotels and resorts. We rented a car and visited a different beach every day which turned out to be a great way to experience Turks and Caicos (just bring your own chair which the atrium resort provided since all the beaches are public but the chairs are only for guests). There is a bar in the pool but it was closed the entire week we were there not sure if it now open. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would absolutely return here! It was also a great option for our tight budget since most hotels on the beach in turks and caicos were almost double the price.

We loved the location of this property! Located on the Leeward side of Provo, it is an easy drive to Grace Bay, but far enough to be away from the crowds. You must rent a car to get about as it is not within walking distance of restaurants, etc. We viewed that as a plus, as it gave us the flexibility to explore different beaches each day, and try restaurants all over the island. The Atrium is a condo rental, so don't expect daily housekeeping, on site restaurants, etc. There is a small cafe and market, as well as a spa and gym onsite. Beautiful and large pool with small hot tub (just wish spa was lighted so could be used at night). We rented an one-bedroom unit that was clean, modern and had a fully equipped kitchen, as well as washer and dryer. We liked being able to eat some meals in the condo, rather than have to go out for every meal. Many items are thoughtfully provided (new sponge and dish detergent, new roll of paper towels, extra rolls of toilet paper). We were pleasantly surprised as to how close it was to the beach (about a 10 minute walk). The Atrium also provides a golf cart to transport you back and forth from the beach if you desire. Even better, they set up beach chairs and umbrellas for their guests! This is key, as there is really no shade at most of the beaches on Provo. The beach at this end of the island is just as beautiful as the resort areas of Grace Bay, but much more secluded and quiet. The Atrium has a front desk, so it's easy to check in and out (no need to hunt down a lockbox in the dark as we have done before when renting other condos). Robert, the manager, provided excellent service! Extremely helpful and personally took us to our designated parking space and room when we arrived. Also helped us make some reservations as our phones weren't working on Provo. If possible, try to rent a top floor room. The only thing about our stay that wasn't great was the sound proofing - neighbors upstairs seemed to be constantly moving furniture around and we could hear the furniture scraping the floors (think it was because all floors all tile and not as sound resistant as carpet). However, this was a minor inconvenience when compared to all the great qualities of this place!

We checked out a few places during our ten day stay in Turks and Caicos and this place is really great for the following reasons: Very clean Amazing pool Great coffee place attached to building Very secure Located by blue haven and international school Beautiful architecture High ceilings Very well maintained Lots of parking Some things to know about this place: it really is more an owners condominium development and visitors should not expect it to be exactly like a hotel. ALTHOUGH I should mention it does have many hotel amenities such as: Swim up pool bar (available in high season only) Front desk reception Very nice fitness centre room Onsite staff (more in high season) Security all year round. You can find these units on Expedia, air bnb and through rental management companies. Pricing will range on season and who you are renting from. Long term rentals for a two bedroom range from 2800-4000 per month depending on season and short term rentals for similar unit ranges from 250-800 a night. There isn't much action here, more quiet and relaxing. If you are looking for loud spring break type of vacation Providenciales isn't really that type of island and atrium isn't either.

Have nothing but good things to say about our experience at the Atrium! Notice I didn't mention resort, this place is not a resort these are apartments and very clean and well kept apartments on very well kept grounds. It was exactly what my husband and I were looking for! Clean, large pool and clean hot tub right outside my door, also spa and gym on the grounds. Very quite, very peaceful, very relaxing complex. If you're looking for a party scene this is NOT it! (that's one of the things that made it work for us) we rented a studio apartment, were very happy with the accommodations, clean linens, Kitchenette with all u need, washer & dryer in the unit, large flat screen TV. There is no daily cleaning service but that didn't bother us at all! No complaints. However, we did have a rented car which I feel is a must here. incredible beach very nearby, atrium puts out chairs and umbrellas there on a daily basis for its guests. We found it very easy to get around the island thanx to Tia at the front desk, she mapped out directions for us on a daily basis to accommodate our itinerary! She was a pleasure to deal with, very patient and hospitable as well! We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

This is a great place to stay, especially if you want quiet and a little away from the hustle & bustle of activities. We rented a car. The island is very easy to get around. This location was perfect. The facilities are very well maintained. The pool is AWESOME! Great pool to do laps. Plenty of space for kids & adults. The condo accommodations were wonderful. The ladies at the office were very friendly & helpful. All of the staff were very friendly. We'll stay here again on our next visit.
