Sands At Grace Bay

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Spacious roooms with amazing views and access to Grace bay beach. However, hotel staff, specifically those managing the snorkeling and kayaking gear were not customer oriented. During our four day stay, they never had any of the gear, as promised during check-in.

They placed us on the third floor with no elevator had to lug our luggage up the 3 floors. Very bad having to climb 3 floors every time we needed to go back to the room. They also placed us in a room farthest from the beach.

Great hotel with best restaurant Hemingway's on site!

This hotel was in the best location for relaxing due to it being by the park so there are not nearly as many people crowding the beach. This hotel also has a larger reef out in the ocean which broke the waves sooner and created a pool like swimming area on the beach. The staff was super nice and very helpful.

Enjoyed our stay at The Sands on Grace Bay. Grace Bay is a glorious beach. The water is a beautiful shade of turquoise and the sand is so soft. We had a 1 bedroom condo that included a living room, dining area and full kitchen. The furniture looked to be new and comfortable and the screened in patio was very nice. The kitchen was stocked though a cutting board would have been helpful. The dishwasher was older but worked fine. We made breakfast most days and it worked out great. We found bug spray to be helpful as the sand flies/fleas can be annoying. The staff at The Sands were very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our meals at Hemingways. The beach chairs were available early in the day and the chairs were very nice. Definitely would return to this location.

While a few of the staff were courteous and helpful most of them were slow, disinterested and generally poor. Several things were wrong - room wasn't ocean view, cable intermittent, health club equipment not working, etc.

Beautiful beach location, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Lush tropical landscaping, with secluded niches by the pool

The sands is a nice place with a friendly staff. I think the best way to describe it is "slightly above average" but a good place to take the family. We made breakfast and lunch in the room and ate out for dinner. Not a fancy place, for that you may want to check the palms, seven stars, grace bay club or the gansevort. Would return.

Great place to visit. It was out second time and we will be back again

Best beach most beautiful ocean in the Caribbean. We are already talking about going back. Great beach and room.

My cousin got married this past weekend at the Regent Palms - 2 hotels down, but the Sands was 1/2 the price, so I decided to stay there and walk over. In the 3 days I stayed there, I was not able to take 1 hot shower. I did not have hot water any day. I complained 3 times to the staff and each time they said they were sending maintainance to fix and they never came. I took a total of 4 showers during my stay , each one colder than the rest.

The hotel was okay. It was average by every standard. I wouldn't necessarily head back there if I stayed in Turks and Caicos again. We had ants in our bathroom that they came and sprayed for, which helped a great deal. We didn't see an ant again after that. The restaurant Hemingway's was average too...we went the firs tray upon arrival and decided to make lunch from then on as opposed to eating there. We did eat there eon our final day before heading to the airport and it was a better experience.

There are really few places on Grace Bay you could go wrong. This is a very nice resort. Clean nice grounds and a friendly staff. The only downfall is the restaurant. The staff is not overly friendly like the resort and the food is just ok.

This was our 2nd stay at The Sands at Grace Bay. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the beach is crystal clear. The hotel staff could not be nicer. We hope to return for many years to come!

The help was excellent! The pools beautiful. There were no washing machines available., which was an inconvenience.

Good hotel with good amenities but some of the staff had attitudes.

Too expensive for a condo-style family resort. Staff is rude and unhelpful. Brown water in the bathroom..

Great hotel with wonderful amenities! A beautiful beach.... The people who worked there were wonderful, one of the men working on the gardens offered us fresh coconut right out of the tree. He opened it so we could drink the milk, then "made" a spoon from the shell so we could eat the meat. Screened in porches a great plus.

Great Stay as always. The rooms are always clean, Hemingway's is always great for lunch and dinner.

I can't say enough good things about The Sands! The staff was friendly and helpful, the location was perfect and the grounds were beautiful. The restaurant attached was beautiful and tasty too! I would go there again in a minute!
