We splashed out on a premium hotel for the final night of our trip, booking a city view superior room. We arrived early so we were not surprised when when our room wasn't ready. They offered an upgrade to a junior suite for 20 euros but we had a lunch reservation so declined and left our luggage with the porter and returned later to find we'd been upgraded free to the junior suite anyway. There was a Basil Fawlty moment when the receptionist escorted us up to the room and invited us to admire the city view "of the main square" - we were only on the fourth floor and barely above the adjacent rooftops, and could just see the top of a few spires in the distance! The room was large and generously furnished, and the marble bathroom featured a large bath plus a gigantic shower cubicle - but in the morning we found out the shower didn't drain properly and I had to paddle in my husband's shower water. There were reading lights on arms beside the bed and one had snapped off, leaving it dangling loose with exposed wires. The coffee at breakfast was some of the weakest I have ever encountered, and the buffet selection only average. The hotel is well-located, a few minutes' walk from the Porto Novo station and just off the Via Roma but still peaceful at night. It feels like they're cutting costs and I don't think it's good value.

We chose the Principi because we wanted to be in the city centre in a quality hotel. Parking was prebooked and it was so simple: drop off the keys with the voiturier and get the car four days later in front of the hotel. Our room was a junior suite and worth every Euro. It was large, quiet, immaculate, comfortable, and the bathroom was first class. The WIFI was superb. So far the best WIFI we've found in Italy. The twin beds were very comfortable. Breakfast is served in a large room with a good array of dishes. The coffee is excellent; I am difficult to please. The front desk is exceptional. The head concierge, Maurizio, is a classic professional of the old school. Gracious, well spoken, impeccably dressed, he gave us very helpful hints on where to eat: good restaurants off the beaten track. The hotel is located in the centre which means most sites are within walking distance. In three days we logged 31.8K. It was a delight to come into the hotel after a busy day of sight seeing and feel at home. Definitely a very good experience. We live in southern France and we've decided we'll return before too long. Whitebeard83

This hotel is very beautiful and in a great location. We stayed in a suite which featured a large bedroom and living room. The bathroom was quite luxurious as well. The staff at the front desk were very professional and helpful with any questions you might need answered. There is a gym, although it's very nice it is quite small. There is also a spa next to the gym. The location of the hotel is excellent, and within easy walking distance to many restaurants and stores including Via Rome which carries high end clothing. The one thing I'll mention, is that the television stations were in Italian, except for BBC and CNN. There are no subtitles for any of the movies and the English movies are dubbed over in Italian. Bring good reading material or download movies.

We stayed in a triple room which had a separate bedroom and lounge area with a single bed in, and a beautiful bathroom that had a huge bath and separate shower. The breakfast was good with a decent amount of choice, staff were very polite and helpful. Ask for a room on a higher floor if you want a view. Lovely hotel in an excellent location for seeing the sights They have a pool but annoyingly there is a extra charge to use.

I spent a few nights and the rooms are really amazing I adored the bathroom...as big as the room.very professional and nice staff The central position is perfect if u want to walk around and enjoy Torino

The hotel is sited within walking distance of the main sites and makes a perfect base to explore from. We stayed in a junior suite which was generously sized with a lovely large bed. My only minor niggle was that the pillows were very hard. Other than that this was a lovely dose of luxury. The reception staff (Guiseppe and Diego) were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and varied and not just the typical continental fare that tends to offered. I would highly recommend this hotel

We had a room with a nice king-size bed and a separate living space; the bathroom was big and luxurious, including a beautiful, roomy tub. The location was ideal for us, as we enjoy walking. The high-end shops are just adjacent to the hotel entrance - a sort of magnificent mile like Chicago with shopping, cafes and restaurants. We enjoyed the bar in the evening. Breakfast was included and quite an array of good food available. We highly recommend this property. My only complaint was the fee for use of the spa and health equipment. It is about $20 US per day, and with the price we paid for the rooms alone, I just did not want to spend the extra money for an hour of use. The facility and pool looked wonderful, but alas I did not partake.

This is a well kept hotel in the heart of Turin. The rooms are renovated and comfortable. It was a good choice for our group of friends to stay there. The location is perfect and all the hotel staff friendly and efficient.

We stayed here again for business. A total of 3 days, very comfortable and a great view of the city from the separate living area. We had a junior suite, sitting area, bedroom, bathroom and walk in closet (same as last year)! Everything is within walking distance, from shopping, dining to sight seeing. Not a moment of boredom to be had. The staff very professional and my husband and I enjoyed a drink at the "American Bar" with Stefano making a great martini! Breakfast is free and lovely with very good service. Will stay here again when we return to Turin!

The Principi Di Piemonte Hotel is situated in the heart of the city facing the famous Via Roma with its elegant arcades and chic shops, and is within walking distance from Re Umberto Metro station and Porta Nuova railway station, five minutes to Piazza San Carlo and a further two minutes to Piazza Castello, the Cathedral and the Royal Palace. The hotel has a fitness centre, swimming pool, and Spa which offers a variety of treatments including Turkish steam bath and reflex massage. Lots of sitting areas in the lobby for relaxing and the large American bar and snack bar also has outdoor seating. A good size bedroom, separate dressing area with minibar and laptop-size safe, and a large marble bathroom with separate shower cubicle. The breakfasts are splendid, everything you could ever imagine is on display here, anything else you may need, just ask and the waiter will bring it for you, like the orange juice which is freshly squeezed just for you. All the staff here are very professional, friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. We can definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here on our next trip to Turin.
