I and my husband spent two days in this hotel because of its position and connection to the city centre. At a first glance the hotel looked great, we had a large and comfortable room. However, soon we found a very poor care for details: the TV remote control was without batteries and there were not enough towels for two persons in the bathroom. But the worst was the internal restaurant where we had dinner on our first night. Service was not up to a 4 stars hotel with a waitress chitchatting with some guests close to our table for the entire evening. When we asked for the bill, we discovered that the same waitress charged us with expensive dishes we never had! Firstly, she asked us to sign without checking the bill. Then once signed, we realized the mistake and it was extremely disappointing that she complained about us questioning the bill. For quite a while she maintained that everything was in order and we had to insist a lot to have our bill corrected. Upon checkout, we reported about this to the receptionist but we got no more than vague apologies. It is really a shame hotels which claim high quality service take so little care for their guests and employ such inadequate personnel.
This was our first hotel on a 4 day break in and around Torino and what a start from the moment we checked in the staff couldn’t have been any more helpful. The rooms are fantastic and very spacious, clean and tidy. The beds are very comfortable in fact I don’t normally sleep too well when I’m away in hotels but definitely didn’t have an issue here. The bar area is relaxed with staff that know how to make a good negroni cocktail it also has a great selection of single malt whisky. A truly great hotel to stay in with an iconic location. A MUST FOR ALL TO STOP AT IF YOU VISIT TURINO
Nicely designed hotel room with the old Fiat test track on the roof. That's the main reason for us to choose the hotel in the first place. But never regret, the experience were invaluable comes together with the nice quite a large room hotel. Shopping mall and Eataly are just next door, metro station lingotto just few minutes walk from it. Overall very happy with our stay
Turin, was an interesting large city with many roman connections.the city centre is very well preserved with many very old buildings. The hotel was unique in that it was formerly a part of the Fiat motor company factory, that has been converted into hotels and shopping arcades. The rooms were large and clean, and the shopping centre behind the hotel had a large range of clothing, and eating shops to browse or buy. The breakfast was very nice and we had a lovely stay at this nice hotel.
Hotel situated in former Fiat factory wich gives it a special feel. Very large - silent - room, nice and large bathroom, excellent bed, good breakfast. Nice staff. Parking for guests outside the hotel and just a few steps to get to the underground: a good place if you bring your car. Not at all far from the city centre. If you want to stay in a place without the complications of the city (noice, heat etc) at a good price this is it. Another very nice thing is the acces to the roof where Fiat tried out their cars!! And the Agnelli fondation.
This is the second time we have stayed at the Lingotto and it will not be the last. The renovation of the old Fiat factory has given wonderful high ceilinged and spacious rooms decorated and furnished with Italian flair and an obvious touch of automobile memorabilia. The staff are welcoming and helpful and the breakfast choice is excellent. For a romantic and relaxing break in Turin, don't hesitate. A visit to the test circuit on the roof with the Alps as a backdrop is a must. The complex holds a shopping mall and art centre and there is an Eataly just round the corner. Writing this makes me feel like going all over again!
Hotel NH Torino Lingotto Congress We stayed two weeks in this big comfortable hotel which occupies part of what was earlier a Fiat factory about four kilometers from the center of the city Turin. It took seven years to convert the factory to what now is a hotel and large shopping mall. 1- The room. We opted for a Superior two persons XL room. It was 44 square meters and divided in two sections separated by a 3.5 meter long corridor where on one side the large three door cupboard with few hangers (7), small fridge and the small safe (too small to be able to store the iPads). On the opposite side is the large bathroom with bathtub/shower, WC, bidet, heated tubes to hang towels and a hairdryer etc. overall well equipped bathroom and large. The flushing knob for the WC did not work perfectly as it did not go back to stop water from flushing unless you gave it thumb. After informing the front desk it was promptly repaired within half an hour. Two corners where the bathtub meets the walls had black mould ( small spots) which should have been cleaned. The front desk was informed the day before we left as it was not that bad. The rest of the bathroom was very clean. Upon entering the room we found the first section 4X3 meters with a desk, two chairs, two shelves with books and a small table. The bedroom itself was large (5.5X4 meters) well equipped with two persons very comfortable bed with plenty of head cushions, design glass desk, desk chair, two low chairs, desk lamp, stand lamb, trousers press, bed lamps and large size television with English, German, French and of course Italian channels. Sitting in the low chairs is very comfortable AT FIRST but after a while you feel that the filling of the cushion has had its best time and you start feeling uncomfortable. I had to use a head cushion to get a bit of comfort. Plenty of points to connect electrical equipment and a very stable AND FAST internet connection. The fastest we ever had in a hotel. And we have been around believe me. I must add that, apart from the small remark regarding the bathroom ( I did not feel the need to alert the staff early about it), everything was extremely clean and organized.. The bedsheets are changed twice a week ( not that they were dirty). In the cupboard we even found a shoehorn and a special handy sponge to polish the shoes. 2- Parking and checking in. Plenty of free parking space but very busy. We managed to park at about 50 meter from the entrance. Afterwards I took advantage of a free space in front of the entrance and left the car there as we only used the metro. Checking in was very smooth and without any problem. The desk personnel is multilingual and helpful. 3- Breakfast. It was, in short, very good. Everything was there and in abundance including bacon and sausages, plenty of fruit, all sorts of cornflakes, different sorts of juices and milks, gelatin free things and yoghurt. I could not even count the kinds of croissants available. You have the choice of coffee from a machine that has all sorts of coffee or you can order from one of the many very friendly waiters and waitresses standing there ready to help you. Then they will make it and bring it to your table. Most of them speak English and I heard one waitress speaking English, French, Spanish and Italian. Need I say more? Did I miss something at breakfast? Well, YES. I personally missed the olives. There were unfortunately non and I am crazy about olives. I could not believe that in Italy they do not have olives on the menu. All in all, very good hotel with lots of amenities close by and we enjoyed our stay there. The metro entrance is about 40 meters from the entrance. It costs € 1.5 to get to the center (Porta Nuova or further). Getting tickets is very easy in lots of languages. If we go to Turin again we would stay there without hesitation.
Nice hotel, they have hotel parking for free, the rooms are quite big ( we were upgraded to superior). located in a quite place ( was before the Fiat factory). There is a metro from the hotel to the city, so no need to move the car. And breakfast was super. The only mistake we made was that we ate at the hotel dinner. We didn't like the dishes that were served ( small reviolli, turkey), but maybe its just not to our taste. Service was very nice and pleasant as well. Overall I do recommend this hotel if you are in Turin
Big hotel with big room, everything was great, breakfast was delicios, and the room was clean enough.just know the time of check in is 3 pm,if you come sooner that this time ,may be your room is not ready🙈free parking on the site and so close to a organic complex resturant which the name is eataly, you can find any kind of italian food that you want👍enjoy your stay😊
Hotel is located in an ex-FIAT factory. We loved it's industrial design as well as view outside the window (room was overlooking Alps, and views were stunning!). Pros: - great location next to the metro station, - spacious rooms, - very nice, friendly and proactive staff, - kids friendly (crib was already in the room when we arrived) - good breakfast selecion, Cons: - rooms would need some retouch soon. Overall it's a great choice in Turin. Highly recommend
