Spacious, airy, well-appointed and well-placed

We spent a lovely week in the appartment. It feels larger and more spacious than the photographs suggest, the beds are comfortable and it is well kitted out. We cooked numerous meals in the appartment and did quite a few loads of washing, too. The lounge looks out onto the Francois Baur courtyard, beyond which you can see people wandering down the main street - and catch sight of the night watchman on his evening rounds. The village is pretty and has various bakeries and restaurants and a small supermarket, and from various points, you can see vineyards rising up behind the town (and storks nesting all around). We were excellently placed for daytrips to Colmar, Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Kaysersberg and Rust in Germany (home of Europapark, although we chose instead to visit Parc du Petit Prince with our young boys - a lovely, quiet park). We also made trips to the impressive Chateau Haut-Koenigsbourg and the beautiful Riquewihr. This is a fascinating area for the language and cuisine - and you can't move for tempting treats, from pastries and macarons to pain d'epices and biscuits, and hearty rösti and spaetzle, meaty meals. And fantastic wine, of course! We had a wonderful welcome at the apartment and would return without hesitation - our boys have already asked to go back.

Le gîte est situé tout proche des commerces.Propre, bien aménagé, bien équipé et la décoration est faite avec beaucoup de goût. Le propriétaire est très accueillant. Nous avons passé un très bon sejour. La visite de la cave est un plus.

Familienferien mit Eltern

Turckheim ist eine Reise wert! Ein sehr charmantes typisches elsässer Dorf und idealer Ausgangspunkt für Tagesausflüge in sehenswerte Nachbarorte, bis hin nach Strasbourg. Herr Baur hat ein schönes Feriendomizil in einem der schönen Fachwerkhäuser mit sehr empfehlenswerten Weinen. Wir haben gerne einige Flaschen für unseren Weinkeller eingekauft. Da wir mit Eltern gereist sind, 2 Ehepaare, war das 2.Doppelbett für Erwachsene sehr klein und nur 1 Bad doch eine Einschränkung. Doch wir würden zu 2. wiederkommen. Es war auch sehr schön waren unsere 2 kleinen Hunde willkommen.

Wohnung in dem Zustand nicht empfehlenswert

Die Couch ist komplett durchgesessen! Man sitzt fast auf dem Fußboden. Die beiden Sessel ebenfalls, bei einem Sessel sitzt man direkt auf einer großen Metallfeder. Die Stühle am Esstisch sind komplett aus (Eisen) Metall, ohne Sitzkissen!! Die Matratzen in den Schlafzimmern haben ihre vielleicht guten Zeiten längst hinter sich. Das Küchenequipment ist äußerst übersichtlich. Restaurantplätze in Turckheim scheinen Franzosen vorbehalten zu sein. Mit Ausländern wird hier sehr unfreundlich umgegegangen. Weiterhin fanden wir auf unserem und auf anderen hinter uns parkenden ausländischen Autos dicke Aststücke auf der Motorhaube, die frz. Autos dazwischen wurden nicht mit diesen "bedacht".So etwas haben wir in ganz Frankreich bisher noch nicht erlebt!! Zu guter Letzt hatten wir an der Fahrerseite einen langen Kratzer als Andenken mitbekommen. Wir sind letztendlich genervt einen Tag früher abgereist. Also Elsass für uns einmal und nie wieder.

Die Wohnung ist ein geschmackvoll und praktisch eingerichteter Rückzugsort nach vielen möglichen Unternehmungen in Turckheim und Umgebung. Sie ist sehr sauber, gut klimatisiert, die Betten sind bequem, die Küche ist mit allen wichtigen Utensilien bestückt. Der Vermieter ist stets erreichbar und antwortet sofort auf alle Fragen. Zur Begrüßung gab es guten Crémant, die angebotenen Weine machen den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer. Im Innenhof war es freundlicher Weise möglich im Freien zu sitzen, da die Wohnung selbst, wie angegeben, keinen Balkon hat.

Sehr schöne Wohnung, sehr nette Gastgeber

Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, das Mobiliar ist neuwertig. Auch die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Gastgeber ist sehr nett. Die Lage ist prima: Umgebung, Nähe zu Vogesen und zu Colmar/Straßburg. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

Tolle Wohnung mit schöner Atmosphäre
