First time to visit Tunis and stayed at the Sheraton Tunis. It was a great experience although it was a short stay. The staff is cheerful and very helpful. Rooms are clean, food is excellent and they have a nice bar. Mostly impressed by the business center staff who has been very helpful and quick in their services. Location of the hotel is nice over looking the city.
This small 4 storey hotel has the famous " Sheraton " brand . It is up to the name . The Lobby looks causy ,but has many " corners " to sit at , making it spacious enough . The hotel is surrounded by outstanding great green areas which makes the view from your room fantastic . The reception staff are very friendly especially Ms. Ghalia . The room is spacious & has the Tea & Coffee making facility, in addition to Dental & shaving kits. Clean hotel . The food is average , The staff at Breakfast time is average It has a small gym & an indoor pool. The location is excellent midway between airport & city center
Away from the fact that the location of this hotel is close to no viable life, it is great 👍 hotel from many aspects, the people are smiling all the time, the hose keeping staff are excellent and helpfully, the breakfast is above average, and the rooms are capacious
This is a huge hotel perched on the top of a hill in a corner of Tunis. Among options in Tunis, it is definitely in the highest end category, but the location is a problem, as it is one of those hotels where you have to get into a cab to go anywhere, even for a cup of coffee. The rooms are spacious and there's a nice lobby area for drinks/lounging. if you are a tourist .. they are not ready to arrange any kind of a tour trip for you ?? i ask them if they can arrange a group tour for me burt they only arrange for me a taxi driver with privet car which cost me a lot for my trip and it was not safe even if there is nothing happening .
I have stayed in the hotel for 3 nights during October on a business trip to Tunisia , as most reviews stated , its an old hotel , but not too bad , staff were friendly they even offered me a bday cake on birthday which was a very nice gesture , the pool and spa was really nice and well maintained , breakfast was excellent , specially the pastries and the eggs station , location is great too , close to the airport and other main attractions , sleep quality was relaxing and great , the only drawback apart from the fact that its old , the bathroom needed some maintenance , but all in all , it was a good stay
As I'm writing this, I'm still staying at the Sheraton. As there is a business trip to Tunis, my Embassy booked me this hotel for me to stay in for 5 nights. I was excited to stay at the Sheraton because I previously I had a nice experience with other Sheratons in my country, Indonesia, and I love the service and facility, that is why I really have a high expectation to be staying at the Sheraton in Tunis. The check in process was fine, when I got to my room it was pretty standard, nothing special but nothing horrible either. The bed was nice and comfy, the pillows was nice and fluffy, the bathroom is squeaky clean, no complaints whatsoever. Since it is located on top of a hill, the view was very nice. The drawback is the TV, I was excited when I turned it on it says "Smart TV" like the one I own at home. I thought I would be able to stream 4K youtube channels, but no, no internet TV, changing program was so slow, and the entertainment program was very limited. Yes I'm an adult, but to help me relax after a hard day of work I still like to watch Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, or Disney Channel which I couldn't find in the TV. Fortunately the internet is okay, so I could stream with my laptop, but wouldn't it be nice to stream through the Smart TV? When I arrived, I just landed from a pretty long journey, a flight from Jakarta to Doha, Doha to Tunis, I was tired so I didn't notice any details when walking to my room. But in the morning when I went out of my room, I realized that the carpets in the hallway was so dirty. It really needs a heavy vacuuming, didn't feel comfortable being in the hallway. Breakfast was fine, not bad, but there aren't that many option. A bit different from my experience in the Sheraton in Kuta Bali where the options are crazy, where they even serve ice cream in breakfast. So it's a bit below my expectation. Sorry to say, that I'm not really impressed with the friendliness of the hotel staff. I don't know whether it only happens to this hotel or it is just because of the culture in Tunis. I barely get any smile and I feel that most of the staff are "cold", so I feel reluctant to get any help from them, if I could do everything on my own, I'd do it. I am also disappointed that the gym facility opens at 7 in the morning. I never have enough time for workout in the morning since work usually starts at 8. I prefer to do my workout early, maybe around 5 or 6 in the morning. The gym facility becomes useless then because I never have time for it. It would be a lot helpful to have a 24 hours gym facility with a keycard access like many other hotels that I've been in. The lounge experience was rather unique for me. I ordered a hot cappuccino, and it turned out flat with hardly any foam. I laughed at my friend when she ordered an iced americano and they serve it with a regular coffee cup with no ice whatsoever. It was cold though. But I don't think that's common and a standard for a Sheraton. An iced americano should be served in a tall glass with lots of ice. For me, the Sheraton in Tunis doesn't live up to my standard as a Sheraton, but don't find it horrible though, I still feel quite comfortable having a good night rest in the room. But I do hope it could improve.
Writing this review as it happens. Repeatedly asked to stop the music after midnight, however no reaction nor help to solve. Here on a business trip, looking for a good night rest. Music so loud coming from the main hall, sleeping impossible. No support from the staff in resolving the issue. Avoid at all cost. Not professional at all. Business hotel?!
Starting with the positives: (1) close to the city centre, so if you are there for business and your meetings are primarily at governments buildings this is useful, (2) the toiletries are decent and room spacious and bed comfortable and (3) front desk staff pleasant enough. Unfortunately, the hotel even though recently renovated is quite dated! The food and choices very very average, and the hotel lobby bar staff absent . The staff around the two pool areas are too busy playing with their phones rather than offer anything resembling a service. And for the first time ever in my travels in the region and elsewhere, I had a knock at 22:30 on my last evening by housekeeping (or room service) stirring me up from my sleep and presenting me with water and an empty envelope! A very brazen way of asking for a tip! unprofessional and distasteful. And to top this up, I sadly discovered on my last day that some money was removed out of my wallet by housekeeping during a one hour window while I went down for breakfast, which was extremely disappointing and upsetting. Would not wish that on anyone staying here or elsewhere! I informed management and they apparently are looking into this.
Nice business hotel ca 15min from the city center. The rooms are large and very clean and I loved the comfortable bed. They have a proper gym, which was unfortunately very hot and did not seem airconditioned. The hotel staff was amazing, so friendly and helpful. Food quality would need improvement
Wasn't expecting much but they had just recently finished renovation and were in a people perfect shape. Employees that I spoke with in the lounge and the front desk were all pleasant. Internet worked well as did the AC. Got Junior suite upgrade as SPG Platinum member. This would be categorized as full suite at most properties. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again if business takes me back to Tunis.
