I’m still at the hotel as I write this review. The rooms look old it needs some renovation as you can see some cracks in the bathroom.Location is perfect for me as the office is 5mins walk from the hotel the airport also nearby. It’s one street away from the sea where there’s a walking/jogging trail which is really lovely. Breakfast is good they need to have more variety of fresh fruits. Given a room with partial sea view. There are many restaurants serving great food and a mall nearby. The price is very reasonable for the location. Front office staff very friendly and accommodating.
It's good to have this high standing location in Lac 1 for business meetings. Nothing fancy but a solid four-star hotel with decent meeting rooms after the patio. Personnel, however, while kind, does not always procide the necessary sercicd. For our meeting, we were short of 20 cups and no one could drink with no service around. I had to personally look everywhere in the hotel to find someone to help. Needs to be more professional.
The reviews i read were sort of confirmed. The Hotel is very badly maintained, for me it surely does not deserve the four stars it holds. The rooms need maintenance, the staff are very helpful and welcoming, but they cannot do wonders. The breakfast buffet is so unappealing I was happy to pack my cereals with me, hardly drank water. Nothing is offered complimentary in the room, not even a bottle of water or hot beverages. Way too expensive for what it is. The lunch was ok but everything lacked freshness, and the internet connection is very unstable.
In the business hall each 3 minutes connection stops for half an hour... very bad hotel,, if u have business please don’t wast your time, find real hotel its very stupid.. note: the business hall is a bar by the way... Im very angry with this low hotel.
Hotels in Tunis are expensive, so the Acropole at about 150USD/night is an okay price. Staff here are friendly. Location is good in Les Berges du Lac. Great 7km running route along the “boardwalk”’just outside the door. Cafe and restaurants all walking distance (but do not expect any booze in this area). Breakfasts are more than fine (but coffeee is bad). And if your business is in this part of town, it is more than fine for a few days. But the rooms - despite being well cleaned - are showing their age. And wifi outside the lobby is spotty at best. 3 1/2 stars, but I would return if business brought me back to this part of Tunis (note you are 15 minutes from the centre of town...in no traffic).
I was surprise to find this hotel with 4 stars..wify comes and goes..the reception in the evening didint speak any english or they didint get what we wanted First they call a restaurant for dinnee said all ok then we went and the restaurant opened at 12... funny?? Lol they seem to care less at my complains about wify.. Samw music in the lobby for 4 days and that was my mate julio iglesias..anyway not coming again to this hotel... Romms with twin beds and none a queen size in the whole hotel?? You must be joking Breakfast pasable Yje whole area where the hotel is dont serve alcohol.... See you...lol
I chose this hotel as it was the best available option in the neighbourhood in terms of location and price. As many people pointed it out, facilities, in general, are quite oldfashioned and definitely need some maintenance for bath, including replacement of moldy shower curtain. Personally I prefer more modern, simple and clean hotels, but this hotel equips with most of basic facilities and items. It's a bit off from touristy areas.
Overpriced. The staff are very friendly, but the Directors are running the place shockingly, grabbing every penny they can (eg keeping the aircon switched off in public areas and lighting to a minimum). Worse still, I was overcharged by £800 and told that a card refund had been made (the Director wouldn't see me face to face but dealt only through receptionist) - of course it has never arrived. Booking.com have not been any help in resolving this. Be warned!!!
Stay away just as simple as that. Rooms are ok but very 80's and need an urgent redecoration. My bathroom was ok. Breakfast is poor and low quality. I bet you can eat better at a formule 1. Fruit was probably in the fridge for more than a week and the choices were more than limited. It all depends what you pay and to what you compare to. To me this is an hotel that worths 50% what I paid so yes it is overpriced. The staff looks depressed and it is unfriendly. I am amazed how after the UK tourism ban some hotels still remain so unfriendly with clients. Finally we had a dispute around numbers of nights my company allegedly booked and keeping things cool I felt real bad how they treated me. Way Way too aggressive. If you need to stick in the area Concorde is not fantastic but way better than the acropole. Sorry to say that but i cannot recommend this hotel.
I stayed at the Acropole for a business trip and I had a pleasant stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed comfortable, and I also had no problem with noise from other costumers. The internet connection was good. The swimming pool is big and very well maintained. So that's certainly a plus. The breakfast was OK and quiet. I did not really like the area that much, but a taxi will take you downtown, or to La Goulette for a few dinars. So all in all, it was a good stay! The price might be a bit much for the service though.
