Positives: The hotel itself and grounds are immaculate as you would expect since it was opened in 2025. It is very 'open plan' so there are large open areas of concrete which seemed to be a waste of space. The Club Room is the size of a small apartment with a private terrace and jacuzzi. Room was cleaned daily. The restaurant is open to the elements so be prepared if you are dining in inclement weather. Breakfast (buffet breakfast may be included) was adequate enough and not short in supply. There's a good dinner selection at prices comparable to restaurants in the town and the quality was good. Service provided by the staff in general was always good, particularly the concierge and restaurant staff. It's a good 30 minute walk to the centre of Tulum, but there are many places where you can rent anything with wheels. There is plenty of free parking underground on offer. Internet service was robust enough. Negatives: Reception experience on arrival was poor. Was given no information about the hotel nor towel etc. Could be more lively on that. Facilities at the hotel are limited to restaurant, gym and outside court, so do not expect a spa or alike. TV services are very limited, so you may want to bring your own device. Road leading to the hotel is unfinished and without lighting. There was also an open sewer which overflowed. Not such a big issue since it's a few minutes walk to the main street but first impressions for guests not good. Bring mosquito repellent.

I had a very disappointing experience during my stay at Wyndham Tulum hotel, and I feel it's important to highlight some serious issues for future guests. The biggest problem was the lack of water in my room. From 10:00 PM until 3:00 PM the next day, I had no access to water, which is an absolute basic necessity. This was an enormous inconvenience, especially considering how essential water is for daily needs. Not having water for such an extended period severely impacted my comfort and ability to use the room. In addition to this, there was a loud generator located near my room that created a constant noise, both in my room and in the hallway. When the generator runs, there is also a strong smell of smoke that comes through the air conditioning vent, which made it difficult to stay in the room. I reported this issue to the hotel staff, and they temporarily turned off the generator, but it started running again around 2:00 PM, making the situation even worse. I had to turn off the A/C to avoid the smoke smell. Given these major issues, I cannot recommend this hotel. The lack of water alone was a dealbreaker, and the noise and smoke compounded the discomfort. I hope the hotel addresses these problems to improve the experience for future guests.

Room was great! You really feel the peace at this ressort, outside the main area and in the nature. Would recommend to stay. Points for improvement: More towels would be great (incl.small ones); bathrobes and slippers would be appreciated. Breakfast is not that varied and after 2 days you really feel the lack of variation. Also, flies flying around at the open stuff at breakfast (no one of the staff was really concerned about this).

Enjoyed our stay here. Worth the price. Clean and luxurious. Without a car, a taxi is basically needed to get anywhere. One-bedroom suite was spacious and fit our needs. Limited appliances and plates/utensils/glassware, but you can call the front desk and have it delivered from the common dining area. Breakfast included was great and made it easy. The place was quite empty, so had no problems finding space by the pool or in the dining area.

Wyndham Tulum A hidden gem

The Wyndham Tulum is beautiful and the staff outstanding. Myltha, the front desk manager goes above and beyond to make sure guests have a wonderful stay. Martin in the restaurant served our food with great care. It was delicious. Rent a scooter-ATV-bike--both town and beach are near by.

Isolated enough to feel private but very close to the town center. I recommend renting a car but on cooler evenings it’s pretty easy to walk to convenience stores and there are plenty of taxis to take you to the center. The pools are all incredible and the staff are very helpful and kind and were quick to respond any issue that came up. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would love to come back.

Wyndham Tulum

This is a new property just opened in April 2025, and has been buit to a very high spec. The rooms are modern and each with private jacuzzi’s, with the suites super luxiorious with a kitchen and living room and very roomy. The swimming pool area has lots of loungers to relax after a swim, and has a dining area in the middle to order refreshments. The gym is fully equiped and excellent. 24 hr concerciege and free parking. Ivan, the manager, and his team are always readily available to help if you require anything. The cleaning staff are great and ensure rooms left pristine

It was honestly a beautiful hotel. Everything was clean & updated. I know it opened sometime last year. Few things that we weren’t satisfied with: there are no ice machines on the floors, so we had to call every time we needed some. Sometimes it came, sometimes it didn’t. We had a nice balcony, but unfortunately there weren’t any chairs to sit, so we found that a little odd. Inside there was only one seat. No little tables either to eat. We got a basic room, but even with that, I feel like there should have been a least a little table and maybe another chair. I also ordered uber eats a few times & the hotel gave them a hard time handing me the food. The first time, they had to escort the uber driver to the room(totally fine, as I know they are just trying to be safe) but the last two times I did it, the hotel made me walk to the lobby. Thought that was weird, but also a little inconvenient, as the lobby is far from the room. Lastly, check out was fine, but once I got into the ride to go to the airport, they called me accusing us of stealing a blow dryer. We were so confused & upset because we didn’t know how to prove that we didn’t take it. They said not to worry and they will talk to housekeeping. I told them to please get back to me & they never did.. I keep checking to make sure I wasn’t charged, but it was just a little weird. Overall, beautiful place, but they need to change some things
