The property looks just like listing, stairs are pretty steep and would not recommend to families with small children, elderly, or pregnant persons. Street names are not listed in the area so that was an adjustment to find property. Check in/out was easy and the location was great! Very safe and close to shopping and restaurants. We did lose power during our stay but that is typical in Tulum. We weren’t expecting it so it was a little jarring at first, so if you rent any property in town expect that you could lose power and make sure to have a way to charge phones for navigation etc.

Welcome to the jungle was right on
We have been to many places in Mexico, we have never had trouble with using our phones before, except these time. I was not ready therefore checking in was a challenge, but thankfully I was able to use what's up to contact Rodrigo and he saved the day I felt bad but he was my only choice. The place is great, there was only one other unit occupied so it was quiet until it wasn’t. Construction next door is extremely loud. 3 stars for neighborhood because the street is not paved and walking and driving on it is hard. My husband suffers from Parkinson’s and walking to the restaurants wasn’t as close as I’d like. The beaches are not free as they are in other places so we didn’t get to see it.

Less than Ideal, and a little dangerous
The photos in the listing were accurate but extremely well-staged. The house was a lot smaller than we thought it would be. While there are 2 bathrooms, only 1 is on the same floor as the bedrooms. The shower in the downstairs bathroom was tiny and hard to move in. We only used it once. The house is cute, but not well-maintained. The stair railing was very loose which was especially concerning because the staircases are very narrow with a sharp turn. Various wall-mounted fixtures were loose as well. The fridge water dispenser did not work. We had to clean the calcium buildup off the shower head so that the water could come out. The curtains in both bedrooms were installed in such a way that it was impossible to completely block out the light. Getting into the rooftop pool felt very dangerous because doing so forced you to stand on the edge of the roof with only a 15-inch railing keeping you from falling. None of the houses are numbered. We ended up going door to door testing the lockbox combination on each until we found a winner. The surrounding "streets" are made of dirt and riddled with large potholes. We were very concerned about damaging the rental car just by driving to and from the building. The community pool had not been recently cleaned when we arrived. We messaged the property managers and it was cleaned a few days later. As 2 adult women, the house was fine. I would be uncomfortable drinking in this house or letting children/pets run freely.
