ABOUT TUCSON ---------------------- Guest ranches, horseback rides, and cattle drives recall Old West roots, but you’ll also find yourself smack-dab in a hub of spas, resort hotels, and championship golf courses...not to mention amazing, trend-setting restaurants. Tucson was the first city to earn the designation of a World City of Gastronomy by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Plus, with a thriving visual and performing arts scene and respected galleries and museums, Tucson’s vibrant multicultural heritage shines.
Famous for its dramatic beauty, the Sonoran Desert covers this region with spectacular cacti – including the giant saguaro, a symbol of the American Southwest. But don’t be fooled by the term “desert” because mountain ranges in all directions offer scenic drives and even snow skiing. In the winter you can go for a hike in the valley, then drive up to Mt. Lemmon and enjoy the slopes. Tucson’s legendary year-round sunshine and saguaro-and-sunset landscape have romanced visitors for decades. Tucson's coldest month is January when the average temperature overnight is 38.9°F. In June, the warmest month, the average day time temperature rises to 100.2°F.
If you are visiting Tucson, it's a great time to consider a jaunt across the Arizona border into Nogales, Sonora, Mexico and get a taste of the charm and traditions of Old Mexico. Nogales is only about 60 miles south of Tucson on Interstate 19.
Once you immerse yourself in the laid-back atmosphere of Tucson, you may never want to leave.

Family Visit
For the price and from the photos, we did have much higher expectations. Quite a few of the typical amenities were missing and updates are needed. *Note for VRBO - the messaging portal for host and guests was sporadically working. It seems that the majority of my messages did not get to the host. This was also frustrating.

Clean and Comfortable overall
Clean and comfortable, appreciated the amenities as listed are provided, beds are comfortable. It is an older home, a little worn (eg., cracked window pane), shades seem fragile due to age and quality. If you're wondering, there is an iron provided.
Would have greatly appreciated a list (specific) of recyclable items (since this varies in every community).

Don't expect the property to look like the pictures in the listing.
We got to the property and it did not look like the listing. Wires sticking out of the wall. Blinds broken or missing in the master. The windows were fogged over and very old. There is a hole in the only couch in the living room. The pool had the cleaning robot left in the pool not running. The cleaning robot was hooked up to the skimmer, so the skimmer was not running either. Deflated blow up floats left out laying around the yard, and other debris left out around the back yard. Also, the garbage cans were knocked over in the front yard when we arrived. We did not stay, and tried to contract the owner to inquire about a refund, or at least the cleaning fee be waved since we didn't even stay on property. Contacted VRBO, and they could not get in contact with owner as well. Obviously, would not recommend.

Excellent Getaway
We have a very pleasant stay overall , we enjoy the pool, a person came 2 days in a row to clean it. Nice neighborhood, pretty close to Pinneclepeak restaurant, mini golf, target and Walmart.

Just what we needed
The house was in a great location and the perfect size for our needs. I really enjoyed the decor, and the tiling in the bathrooms was really beautiful. We were there in February so the pool was too cold to swim in, but our children tried anyways and had a blast! Our host was responsive and professional, sent relevant information when it was needed. I appreciate we didn’t have to strip the beds, wash towels or anything too time intensive before we left— just do general cleanup of your stuff, put things back where you found them. We really enjoyed our stay, and would book again the next time we visit family in Tucson.
