Quick getaway
My husband and I enjoyed this unique spot, especially watching the sunrise on the rooftop deck in the mornings. We chose it because of the location to Sweetwater Preserve which was a wonderful biking and hiking spot.

If you’re nature lover, you’ll love this place
The house is well designed and well constructed with split bedrooms, two porches and a rooftop balcony. You have neighbors, but you never see them. This place comes with its own watering hole, so the birds and animals come to you. We delighted in the wildlife who hung around the place, quail, gila woodpeckers, cactus wrens, mourning doves, and other birds, along with rabbits and coyotes. The back porch faces east with beautiful sunrises. The rooftop balcony is great for viewing the stars and the Tucson nighttime skyline. I thought I would spend more time on the balcony, but the back porch was my favorite spot, right by the watering hole. The hosts were very responsive and responded quickly to our questions. We thoroughly enjoyed it and plan to return someday.

Desert Delight
This rental was perfect in all respects. Location was ideal for exploring the Tucson region and what it has to offer. Restaurants & shopping were within 5 miles, but the property feels secluded and private and quiet. The house itself had everything we needed, including washer and dryer; good wifi and tv streaming; was clean and comfortable. Saw coyotes, quail, & deer visit the backyard watering hole too....

Amazing Stay
Just wanted to drop a quick review on this amazing property we recently stayed at. It was truly magical. The location is ideal, nestled on the rolling hills near Saguaro National Park with dramatic mountain and city view from every angle. The property has mature desert vegetation that the local birds and wildlife like. Had the pleasure of seeing a pack of Javelinas the last day. The house itself has an old Spanish style and charm and was just lovely. We also felt like we had a connection with the owner with all of the flora/fauna books, national park and state park books and maps. Clearly the owner loves nature and exploring and something we also value. We truly loved our time there. Thanks again.

Desert serenity
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved sitting on the back porch and rooftop for morning coffee and happy hour. It feels like the home is in a cactus botanical garden. We were also treated to a family of javelinas that wondered by on several occasions. The home was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend. We look forward to staying again the next time we are in Tucson

Incredible place to stay
I have been telling friends that this is the rare rental that is so much better in person than what you see online. I think because it's hard to describe being surrounded by the desert beauty. There are huge saguaros right outside the house and we saw a pack of coyotes scamper by and a javelina. It was very beautiful and memorable. Everything was clean as well.

Ranch House built in 1941
This property is charming, private and is a wonderful vacation destination. We observed abundant wildlife including coyotes, javelina, deer, jack rabbits, and even a bob cat! The home was nicely decorated in a western theme that added to its charm.
Upon arrival we were contacted by the property management agency inquiring if it was clean. The house itself had been cleaned but the kitchen was dirty. The dishes and pans had chunks of food stuck on them. The open shelves needed to be scrubbed. I informed the agency about this and told them that possibly the dishwasher was not working. This would have been a good time for them to tell us it was broken, that a repairman had been out the week before and he would return when the parts came in. We ran the dishwasher not knowing these things and learned it the hard way. Upon contacting the mgt agency about this they offered to check if we could get a partial refund of cleaning fee, but still haven’t seen it. Other concerns were; DSL internet was slow, on line work from this location was problematic. We also had trouble with a pack rat getting into the engine bay of our car. Overall, it was a great location and charming home that needs a little TLC and a better management agency.

Scenic serenity
We loved our stay at the Lazy C ranch. If you love the great outdoors this is the place for you. The area around the home is natural desert so you are surrounded by a multitude of desert plants, with some huge saguaro cactus. Nearest neighbors are about 100 yards away, Sitting on the rooftop taking in sunrises and sunsets we were treated to the serenade of coyotes howling in the distance. We had a parade of javelinas cross through the yard several times.
There is fantastic desert hiking close by at sweetwater preserve. If you are a cyclist or runner the Tucson hike and bike trail is also close by. The entire trail system is over 100 miles long.
We found the house well furnished for our needs, although we wish they had an outdoor gas barbecue. The only small disappointments we had were there are no window coverings in bathrooms or second bedroom. Windows were high up in bathrooms and you are secluded so not that big a deal, but second bedroom felt a bit like a fishbowl. The other small detractor was extremely low water pressure in showers. We brought it to attention of management company on first day. We were told they would send someone out to fix it, but during our two week stay no one came out.
Overall great stay, and would certainly stay there again

Secluded exterior beautiful but…
When we first arrived I thought it was clean but not as clean as I thought. Dust balls under beds like someone dust mopped and left it there. Coffee pot filthy. Exterior was gorgeous desert. But not safe for toddlers or unsuspecting dogs or wheelchairs. Small dinosaurs all over made our 3 granddaughter happy. Our son was happy, too. Lots of birds with families and even jackrabbits Bathtub needed a good scrub along with sink. Overall not for me but if you like seclusion and don’t have any physical limitations you would enjoy.

Desert Oasis
This is an amazing property. A comfortable introduction to the desert environment for a couple from a temperate climate. The land sits on high ground over a wash. There are a great variety of desert plants, birds and animals. This “casa grande” is stone and wood coupled with a modern kitchen and all the amenities for an enjoyable stay. There are interesting surprises awaiting discovery placed around the house. We throughly enjoyed our stay. The only shortcomings was that the bath water faucet was very slow. Water flow elsewhere was fine. For us that cook, an outdoor gas grill would have been perfect. None of that took away from the charm of this place.

Desert Oasis
This is an amazing experience just outside of Tuscon. The town has a much, much different feeling when you are not confined to downtown. Day and night this property is amazing. The amenities are too notch, and the yard landscaping is out of this world. Would stay again.
