The first room’s TV did not work, I notified the staff, they switched us to another room. Easy peasy. Breakfast food was kinda gross. Other than that, ‘Twas a dandy stay.
The warm breakfast was nice. We didn't like that the jacuzzi was not working. In room 110 there was a stain on the window valance on left hand side..
The staff was very friendly. An the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Good. Nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Would stay there again.
Very attractive hotel and a good value! I would definitely stay there again.
Overpriced hotel. Renovations in progress. This hotel is far overpriced for what it provides.
We really enjoyed the free breakfast every morning. We also liked that we did not have to pay a daily resort fee. We received free internet service which was nice. All the staff at this hotel was very nice. We really enjoyed our stay.
Everything was great except we stayed two nights and housekeeping didn't come in and straighten up, provide clean towels, etc. which is usually standard practice especially at a very nice Marriott
We really enjoyed our stay here and we would definitely stay again. Staff is very nice, rooms are clean and their complementary breakfast is good.
Just returned after Thanksgiving weekend. When searching for a hotel on the web, I know you just never know what you are looking at. The Hotel was one of the cleanest, I have been in. The staff was friendly. The morning breakfast was good and the staff that maintains that area work very hard. Overall, if I was to return to that area, I would return to this hotel.
Enjoyed the stay. Nice breakfast. Great staff - always helpful and accommodating. Will stay again on my next visit.
My husband and I stayed here recently for a conference. The room was comfortable and clean, and the location was perfect. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. We had free internet in the room, and had a nice little area with a sink, microwave and refrigerator. This was great, as we like to have oatmeal when we wake up and cold snacks. Breakfast was good too. Nothing fancy, but there were hot eggs and sausage, as well as cold cereal. Overall, nice. We would go back. Location is a bit far north, but close to Catalina State park. It is not an inexpensive hotel, but the amenities make it close to being worth the price.
I stayed at this hotel because it was close to two work sites. The staff was pleasant, and the room was clean and well-appointed. Dinner was as close as next door, and other eating places were a short drive. The corridor was quiet, the bed was comfy, and morning breakfast was tasty and well-attended by staff. I'd definately stay there again.
I was there at one of the busiest times of year in Tucson - during the Gem and Mineral show. I tried to check in an hour early, but had to wait until 3:00. Since my room was near the lobby and across from the housekeeping rooms, it was very noisy during the day. As a single woman traveler, though, I did feel safer being close to the front desk. There was a problem with the shower - the water went from hot to cold, back to hot, all by itself. This was extremely annoying. Other than that, it was an average hotel experience.
Very clean and comfortable. Convenient location.
I was visiting friends who live in Oro Valley, their apartment was only 5 minutes away so that is why I chose to stay here. This is a great hotel to use as a base for exploring the Tucson area. My room, which I think was called a King Suite, had a King sized bed, a couch (don't know if if was a pull-out with a bed) a desk area and surprisingly a microwave oven, a coffee maker and a refrigerator. It was not a "mini-bar", but a real (small-sized) refrigerator that you can put your water, drinks and other food in. They have a pool and hot tub area, the pool being I think 3 to 4 feet in depth. The pool was open and clean while I was there (January 12-17), but while I thought the weather was fantastic (as compared to the Northeast U.S.) I didn't use the pool or see anyone else in there. But, if you are going during the hot summer months it's nice to know there is a pool to cool off in. Now, the breakfast (which is included). Awesome, Delicious. Good selection of hot foods and cereals, coffee and juice. Try the amazing cinnamon rolls, I guess they are made just for Holiday Inn Express. The 2 women that took care of the breakfast room while I were there were very friendly and made sure that everything was fresh and if anything ran out they promptly refilled it. Also: Breakfast is the only meal served here. The breakfast room closes around 9:30 a.m., but I did see a pizza restaurant next door. This hotel is in the Northwest part of the Tucson area. But, keep in mind the Tucson area is huge, so getting around does take a while. My friends did all the driving and mainly stayed on the City Streets (Like Oracle Road), but I guess if you used Interstate 10 to go north-south it would be quicker.
Much better than other low cost options. More like a luxury hotel than budget.
Rooms were spacious and clean. Facilities felt new and up to date. Breakfast was very tasty and generous. Wifi in room worked very well. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only issue was the shower temp. varied from warm to hot during use. Other than that I have no complaints and would highly recommend the hotel.
We are first time parents from San Diego, and decided to take our 7 week old baby to meet her great-grandmother. The trip there was exhausting for her, so it was great to get into a cool room. This room was excellent for a lil'one, since the sink area had plenty of space for her bath tub, and the fridge and microwave really helped for those mid-nite feedings. The room was spacious enough to house all our stuff! It also had a separate seating area that was comfortable.
