A Decent Stay
This property has a lot of charm & potential. My husband & I were in town for a wedding nearby on Memorial Day weekend. We stayed here for 3 nights. This property is VERY remote. We knew this going into our trip, but didn’t realize how truly remote it is. Luckily we drove our truck, but the private gravel driveway to the house was quite difficult & seems it may have been recently washed away a bit by heavy storms. It could be very dangerous at night or if not familiar with driving these types of roads. There was no cell service in the area (which we expected) but the satellite WiFi did not work for the entirety of our stay. This was frustrating as it made any outside communication impossible. I believe these things should be more clearly stated on the listing. The cleanliness of the kitchen & bathrooms were good, however the provided bed linens were not very clean. Luckily we had brought our own sheets and towels. This said, the house was stocked with essential cleaning items and a few staple toiletries which was helpful. The cabin itself has a ton of charm, unique & cool amenities, and a very cozy feel. The outdoor amenities are great, but really needed to be cleaned up/maintained to enjoy them. This is a really unique stay. But the listing should set proper expectations by stating clearly the remote location, lack of cell service and (extremely) unreliable WiFi. ***Please fix the gravel driveway to the cabin ASAP. It needs to be leveled; It is currently dangerous***
