My colleagues and I stayed at the Tsaghkadzor Marriott Hotel for two nights in July. This is a definitely a high class hotel - the rooms are modern and comfortable, and those at front side of the building also offer a nice view. The beds have orthopaedic mattresses and high quality bed linen. The hotel's pool, piano room and restaurant also deserve a complement. The staff members are friendly and well prepared to work with the hotel guests. With no hesitation I give this hotel 10 out of 10.
The location of this hotel is perfect if you would like to skip the crowded cities and if you like a cool breeze in the hot summer! Surrounded by forests and mountains (see picture) this is a great place for a relaxed day or two. A pool and other luxurious facilities such as sauna and a Turkish bath are available too. I had a great Armenian bean soup for lunch, prepared by the Mexican chef. The Armenian red wine was delicious too. The caring staff makes it a great stay here.
This was my first visit to the Marriott Tsaghkadzor and it will not be my last!! I have my list of my top ten hotels in my life and the Marriott Tsaghkadzor is very close in being added to this exclusive list! I booked it not knowing how great this stay was to be. We only stayed two nights and three days. In hind sight we could have stayed longer! From the check-in process to the dinners we enjoyed, this was an outstanding stay at a very nice hotel! The front desk and all employees made my wife and I as VIP guests. The two dinners we enjoyed were nothing more than fantastic!! The entire staff were very cheerful and helpful. The check-in process was fast and efficient as our first room did not have a balcony so they showed us several other rooms until we found one that was just right! Each meal we enjoyed at the hotel was incredible in both the service and the food preparation. I had actually had met their Chief at another Marriott property in Tbilisi and he recognized me after some 5+ years!! From that meeting each breakfast and evening meal was very, very special. Finally this resort hotel can be enjoyed during ALL SEASONS as in the summer you can explore the small city of Tsaghkadzor and during the winter months one can enjoy a very large ski area!! If you simply want to relax and enjoy fresh air I strongly suggest you stay at the Marriott Tsaghkadzor!! You will not regret it!! Trust me!!
The Marriott Tsakhkadzor has a prime location in Tsakhkadzor which looks like a pretty awesome ski town in the valley of flowers. Easy to get around town on foot or by car and the monastery of Kecharis is a short walk away, we stayed a night instead of pressing on to the capital. The hotel is up to the usual excellent Marriott standard, great staff, clean, quiet rooms, top location, the pool and sauna were excellent and nice views from our deluxe room. We had no complaints except we would have liked to have stayed longer. We will be back again sometime.
Based on recommendation of friends, we upgraded to a room (deluxe) with balcony and view upon arrival for our 2 night stay in July. I would recommend this. The room was modern, well equipped and everything was functional. The breakfast buffet had a good selection, which included Armenian breads and cured meats, and omelettes prepared to order. All the staff was friendly and helpful. Many spoke English, including the Reception Desk. We were not able to enjoy all the amenities like the pool, sauna or tennis court, but a visit to each put them on our "next time list." I would strongly recommend the fresh squeezed apple juice from the bar. Just incredibly good! The prices in the bar are very reasonable and there is a non-smoking bar across from the smoking bar.
I have stayed in Tsakhkadzor Marriott hotel twice for business purposes. The rooms are classic Marriott ones, very well furnished, clean and tidy. The food selection is not very diverse, but everything is tasty. I especially like brekafast in here. Conference facilities are great, so is the staff.
Avoid this hotel at any chance. Room is terribly warm and stuffy without ventilation, despite that the outside temperature is below 10 degC. We came here for a good rest and relaxation but the experience is the opposite. We could not sleep at all, called the reception several times but they could not do anything. I am a Marriott Gold member and this is supposed to be an upgraded room, with a tiny window which can only be opened slightly. Extremely poor ventilation even after we opened the window. We are frequent travelers and this is clearly one of the worst hotel stay ever, least expected from a Marriott hotel.
We went for 2 nights and stayed in Cottage Villa. Amazing location and very good quality service by hotel staff. The pool & Jacuzzi is really good. Food quality is excellent. One suggestion for hotel: please arrange for a buggy for your hotel staff to help them travel form main reception to cottages. We felt very uncomfortable asking them for in-room dining and other help as there was hail storm and the guys were walking just with umbrella.
The hotel is located in the road at the entrance of Tsaghkadzor. The parking spacewas enormous. Since we had booked our hotel in Sevan just by judging on the photos. We just booked one night to see if we like or not. The location of hotel is around 50 km to Yerevan. So many people seeking 5 star hotel, specially if Marriot Yerevan is full, choosing this hotel. We welcomed by lobby manager and he hospitably gave us option to choose the rooms. The rooms at the first floor were dark and with no view but simultaneously chic. ( These were standard rooms) so we decided to move to the deluxe rooms with a very great view. We did not use pool or Sauna etc but since the other photos were real I can say they would be great too. Hotel has a Tennis court and other sport facilities which would be great for long stay. The breakfast in the Armenian measures had wide options and complete range. The restaurant food and lobby bar were a little pricy but have good quality. Totally we like very much the stay here and we recommend hotel to all. If we return to Armenia, we will certainly choose this hotel again.
This is a nice mountain resort next to a ski area. It is a short drive from beautiful Lake Sevan. Area was covered with snow when we visited in late March. Hotel premises are elegant and our room was comfortable although small. We requested an electric adapter but were told we had to purchase it (!). Our best experience was in the hotel's beautiful swimming pool and jacuzzi. We also checked the adjoining spa but it's prices where higher than usual for Armenia. Front office staff were helpful and both check in and check out took less than five minutes. The lobby bar (divided into a smoking and non-smoking areas) is a nice place to chill and have a drink or snack at reasonable prices. The area surrounding the hotel should be good for walks in spring and summer but the weather was too cold for a walk in late March. We tried one well-known restaurant outside and it was average. The Brasserie at the Marriott was better but more expensive. Overall, we had a good time at the Tsaghkadzor Marriott hotel.
