Nice Location But Bad Property Info and Arrangements
We were excited to stay here near Northstar. It is a 5 minute walk to the village as advertised. However, there were issues with communication about the place. First, I had to call Vacasa to get the details of the place sent to me. Second, the door code didn't work. Luckily someone answered the phone and there was a key in the lock box. The wifi info in the email was wrong. And there were no parking passes. We got notices on our car and hopefully will mot be charged anything.

really wanted to like it
The address posted on the listing doesn't actually take you to the right place, got very confused until I realized it is missing "Drive" at the end of the street name, and neither Google or Apple maps could figure that out.
There was a bad odor (smelled like animal urine) coming from both the master bedroom (not sure if it's the carpet or bed), and
coming from couch upstairs, stains everywhere on carpet.
If there is Air Conditioning in the home, it does not work. Temperature was relatively uncomfortable the whole day, can't imagine how much worse it is on a hotter day.
Bed in master bedroom was not comfortable, they clearly bought the cheapest possible sheets as they were rigid, and uncomfortable.
Kitchen/bathrooms were clean, although shower has the worst shower head imaginable
I've rented another condo in the same complex previously and it was much more comfortable, clean, and cared for. Overall it was a place to stay in a nice area so it's 'fine' but I feel I really overpaid for a property that isn't very cared for.

North Star Condo
Beautiful clean place and we enjoyed our stay with the exception of... The lockbox didn't work and we had to call the help line and they instructed us to use the 2nd lockbox under the stairs. It was super dark and cold with no light at all. Hard to navigate.
We were happy with the place but after putting our pizza on the counter it immediately attracted tons of ants. This must have happened prior as there was ant spray under the sink. I recommend that they suggest that you bring a log to burn. It showed a bunch of wood in the condo pictures but none were there. In the morning I took a shower and the tub drain was completely clogged. So I had to go into the other bathroom. Not sure how the clogged drain wasn't noticed during the cleaning process.
Despite these disappointments the place was clean and beautiful. Felt very comfy and welcomed there with our dog.

Needs some attention
The property could us some attention. The kitchen did not have potholders, dish towels, salt or pepper, utensils, and the carpets need cleaning. It is not quite what is described in the listing. Pot and pans, coffee maker, could use an upgrade.
The beds are comfortable and clean. Bathrooms were as described.
It would not take much to get the condo into shape as it is a bit neglected.

Great location and comfy condo
We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was spacious and clean. Would be nice if a bit of fire wood was included with the rental. But, great location, easy walking distance to Northstar Village.

This was a cozy, clean, perfectly located condo. We walked to the village daily in 5 minutes. The kitchen and family room were great for the family and making/eating dinners. The house was clean and comfortable.

Beautiful Northstar
Beautiful location, nice clean big condo, we had 3 minor issues which were more inconveniences 1. pee ants in the bathrooms and kitchen. 2. no cable in the master bedroom. 3.the clothes dryer did not work properly it took hours to dry clothes. Other than that we had a great time.

a nice condo, furnished well and nicely appointed
This is a nice place to stay. I would stay there again. There are many positives to the place. There is a shuttle that comes when called (the condo is not actually ski-in/out access), a very nice rec center (although we didn't use it because the one time we went, we didn't have the $3 per person cash they require), and a great view from the condo.
We did have the problem that nobody actually shows up if any maintenance needs to be done. But the condo was clean when we arrived, so that is handled very well. I had to figure out some way to put up a curtain rod myself and hang curtains in the master bedroom over the large sliding glass door, and I had to fix the dryer so it would actually dry clothes. If one is handy, these are not a big deal. No wood was supplied, despite saying it would be provided.

Great location, place needs some TLC
The location was fantastic. Walking path to the village only took 5 minutes - better option than the shuttle which can take awhile. The place itself was ok.... but nothing a little attention to detail couldn't fix. Needs more lights, the bedding needs to be washed and/or replaced with newer stuff, add a rug by the front door etc... We had a great time and could bring our dog so overall we were ok with our stay.

Happy with the accommodations
Condo was as described. It was ready and clean upon our arrival. It was close to the shuttle and the village. It was quite and the grounds were nice. We did have a challenge with the key not fitting properly in the lock and will notify management, but it could have been due to the cold. The bath towels were a bit old and thin. Will also recommend to management that they be updated. Otherwise, good condo for our needs.

Comfortable, Dog-friendly, buses quick - good luck finding property manager!
We enjoyed the place. Had all the kitchen essentials needed. Dog-friendly area too. Buses to ski hill quick when called. We really enjoyed it. Now here's the down side: Called for questions, left voicemail to property manager. Never returned call! Bought firewood in town (none in cabin). Had to play "Marco Polo" to find "Ski In" path - not marked. Master bedroom no curtains over the sliding windows (awkward at night).

North star area Condo
The condo was nice. Beautiful area. Bathrooms are clean and new looking. It was quite till neighbors moved in with kids. Thin walls.
The carpet is badly stained. Not all Renter are very careful I understand that.
Things renter should know that they don't tell you. The condo is NOT close to the parking area.
There is a pool they advertise it is at the rec. center and it is Not close either. And then when u get to the pool each person pays $2 per day. The rec. Center is really nice.
This is a nice area close to truckee and tahoe city. (6 -8 miles) overall Condo was nice.

Wonderful, convenient and beautiful place to stay!
The Condo in Northstar is very conveniently located, super quiet and peaceful, and has all the amenities you could ask for. It's a few minute's walk to the lifts and the Village, and restaurants etc... We have stayed several times and each time it is a delight. And the rec center is divine - pool, spa, grill/cafe, gym... just lovely.
Notes: skip out on Starbucks and go to Inkspot for coffee/breakfast instead - so much better, cheaper, comfy and friendly. And they have the best location to sit outside for breakfast in the Village.

This rental was adequate, but misadvertised
We stayed here two nights. It was adequate for what we needed, had room for our family, was pretty clean, and was fairly comfortable. However, the advertising misled us to think we had access to a pool. After we arrived, we found out we had to pay extra for the pool. This was a big disappointment for our kids, as we were not able to go swimming. I made phone calls to Vacasa about the pool, but they were not answered until after we checked out. Also, the kitchen was not well stocked. There was nothing to clean the grill with, and no basics like cooking spray. The rental was in a beautiful area, and our kids loved walking around and exploring the area around the condo. It was quiet, had plenty of space, and was close to Lake Tahoe.

Good Condo, Disappointing Management
We have recently returned from a 5-night midweek stay at this practical and comfortable Aspen Grove condominium. The property itself was generally as expected and could have been terrific for our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 kids, 1 dog), but...
-- There was no coffee pot for the coffee maker. What???? We were able to work around with pour-overs, but this seemed like more work than we wanted for vacation.
-- Lights in the very dark entryway/hallway were nonfunctional, making entrances and exits awkward and making it difficult to keep the floor dry for comfortable passage and for respectful maintenance of the space. This compounded the issue of a lack of skier-friendly features like clotheshangers and places for boots to dry; not particularly skier-friendly for a ski-in condo.
-- My 5-year old son stepped on the sharp end of a large souvenir-type pin that was left in the carpet. Fortunately, he was not badly hurt, but this should have been found and cleaned before we arrived, not by injury to his person.
-- Kitchen comes with minimal supplies. The appliances and tools are lowest end and the supplies are nearly nonexistant, strange for a property at this price point in this location. If you come to stay, you should bring all ingredients, including salt and pepper and oils, and at least one knife with an edge.
-- Vacasa (the management company) failed to respond to our issues regarding the fixable issues despite 3 phone calls on our first 3 days. Then my wife had the idea to contact them indicating we are interested in renting another property -- Bingo! That got a response. We were told that they were having 'technical issues' with their voicemail. We were told that someone would be by within 24 hours to address our issues. Our (admittedly minor but still reasonable) issues were never addressed and we completed our stay with no coffee pot and no hallway lights. Fortunately, our children didn't suffer any further injuries, and neither of our issues were vacation-threatening, but this distressingly poor service is unlike anything we have ever experienced in online rentals. We will be avoiding Vacasa properties from now on.
