Overall, we had a good experience here. One problem was the shower size. It was very tiny. Maybe 3 ft by 3 ft. Also, it's not a flat walk to the city center. Expect to walk up and down the hill. We're in good physical shape so the walk was not bad at all, but if you need assistance or a wheel chair, this could be a problem.

Good location, a 3 minute walk to downtown. The included parking is convenient since it is otherwise difficult to park in the area. Watch out for traffic if walking out of the property, specially with children, since it is near a busy intersection with no walkway. Property has a restaurant and a nice swimming pool. Good view of downtown from the top. Staff was attentive and helpfull.

Hotel Tropis is great! It is clean and the rooms.are comfortable. 4 minute walk to train station. Short walk to city centre and the beach. The pool is great and relaxing environment. The breakfast has everything, and the staff is very nice. Absolutely loved, I would definitely return.

Hotel Tropis is OK, but no resort.

Hotel Tropis is nicely located with an easy walk down to old town Tropea. Room was nice, but a bit outdated. The view was good. The property was clean. Areas for improvement include coffee makers in the room because you could only get coffee from the barista when dining area was open. The service staff were great, but the front desk staff were rude. The food was OK — not great. As a resort, there really was nothing “resort” about it. They proposed charging a “resort fee,” plus charging for pool towels and charging to use the gym. If it is a resort, then all of those items should not have a charge. The parking was available, but not convenient. The gym is absolutely the worst. The location is a closed-off basement with no sunshine; the equipment is old; and in order to access it you need the front desk to come with you to let you in.

This hotel is located just outside of the town center. It is about a three minute walk to the middle of Tropea. The hotel is very nice and well-maintained, it has a large pool and is very quiet.

When we arrived at the hotel and checked into our room the air conditioning in the room was not working. We reported the issue to front desk several times between our arrival and the following day and were without air conditioning the entire day we checked in, all night and the next day. The temperature in the room was 27 degrees. We were unable to stay in our room. They moved us to another room only to sleep at 330 in the morning. They refused to allow us to stay in the room with working air conditioning as they advised it was booked. We asked for a reimbursement of our stay and the manager refused. They advised that it would take an additional day to fix the issue. They only offered us the air conditioned room once we were packed and advised that we were leaving the hotel. We refused to stay due to the rudeness of staff and management and the stress of the stay. Tropea was the last leg of our trip where we wanted to relax before heading back home and it was the most stressful part of our vacation. We were not able to stay in our room due to the extreme heat and management refused to reimburse our stay. I would not recommend this hotel because of the rudeness and inefficiencies of management of the hotel.
