Radisson Blu Hotel, Tromso4.0 out of 5.0

We stayed at the Radisson at the start of November. Check in was very quick and efficient. Our standard room seemed to be located in the old part of the hotel (so was a bit worn around the edges although clean) and was very small - this caused a few problems with bulky winter clothing as there was no proper wardrobe. The view from our window was of the other building. However, the rest of the hotel was lovely with great views from the other side of the building over the bay. Breakfast was excellent with a very large buffet selection. Don't bother paying for the Flybussen from the airport - the 42 bus took barely 15 minutes from the airport, the stop was around the corner from the hotel and it was much cheaper.
We stayed four nights at the Radisson Blu on our recent trip to Tromsø. Our room on the 9th floor had a lovely view of Fjellheisen. The room was a good size and the beds were very comfortable me however there could have been more storage for clothes. Breakfast was served in the restaurant each morning and here was a wide variety of choice, but the hot food unfortunately never seemed very hot despite the hot plates. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
We stayed at this downtown Tromso hotel after a week-long road trip. It offers all the standard amenities of a Radisson property. Smooth check in, somewhat small but comfortable and cosy room, clean linen - everything as expected. Closet to hang clothes was not part of the design but I would not hold it amiss. Excellent location, right in the downtown core, steps away from the sea. Overnight municipal parking was right across the street. Breakfast was okay and so was wifi. Will certainly stay here again if in the area.
Situated in a beautiful location near the water front the Radisson hotel offers comfort n style with sumptuous buffet spread😍Even the Rooms not facing the front have a beautiful view of the city ! All eateries are within walking distance if the food at hotel is not in tune to the mood a person is!!! Staff is extremely courteous n helpful
Highly recommended. Very comfortable and convenient location. We stayed in a business class room. The amenities are nice and the rooms are nicely decorated and provided a relaxing stay. We will definitely stay here again. Breakfast is good and tasty. Ample choice but they are the same very day. A different variety each day would help and also more greens to balance a meaty diet would also help.
Terrible. They have no parking so they said to find street parking and pay meter, or parking many blocks away at underground spot. They should just have people park underground and provide VALET service. If you don't know what that is-look it up.
The Radisson is right at the waterfront and the airport bus also stops 30 metres from the front door. Most tours leave from this area so it is very central to everything. The staff are welcoming and genuinely helpful. The lake view room we had was a "club" room with a great view of the water and was quite large. TV was on a side wall to the bed which was strange but we had a lounge to sit on so it was not a drama. Breakfast was great with a nice selection and you could order hot food (bacon & eggs for example) made to your liking. The restaurant also had pretty good food. Would definitely recommend.
Really liked our stay here. Clean nice room, we had a great view. Wide selection of choices for breakfast. Easy to get to everything, we walked everywhere but the airport. Airport shuttle bus actually has a stop directly across from hotel though which worked out perfectly.
Nice to be upgraded to room.with a view. Not so nice to get parking fine whilst checking in. Got a toothbrush from reception. They have bacon by request at breakfast. Will ask for scrambled eggs by eggs and not powder tomorrow. Coffee machine in room only makes large cups so no espresso. Receptionist said they would register bonus points, after stay is finished i get told they refuse to register points.
We just checked in to the Radisson Blu at Tromso and disappointed does not begin to describe how I feel. For one of the most expensive hotels in Tromso, the room is sparse - no proper closet, shower stall that looks half unfinished, no complimentary water, toiletries so small they are not sufficient for two showers. When I asked for bathrobes and slippers I was told they were only for business class rooms. Seriously? This is so basic I would have thought a 4 star hotel should at least have them. There are likely much better much cheaper options in Tromso.
