To start, we never received a check-in email or message from the host and it took hours to figure out how to get in touch. We checked in and the place was very disappointing. It was nothing like the photos, it was old and run-down both outside and inside. And the room smelled so bad, it made us nauseous and we couldn't stay. We had to scramble to find a hotel room nearby.
