When we arrived we booked a table in the restaurant for 7.45, we checked in to our room and it was filthy, carpet was dirty and full of stains, skirting boards hadn’t seen a cloth for a long time, room was cold as the heating controls were not working, we asked for a portable heater but Wes told none on site, bathroom was very tired and in desperate need of a re furb, we arrived at the restaurant for 7.45 as booked only to be told that it wasn’t 7.45 but 8.30 the booking had been made for. When we returned back to the room we were so cold we had to get under the bed cover with our clothes on, really not happy I called reception to complain and within 10 minutes a portable heater arrived and we also requested an additional duvet which we had. This is our second visit at this hotel but unfortunately will not be staying again and will not be recommending it either. This hotel in my opinion should have no more than a two star rating and certainly not the four star that it advertise.

We had a wonderful stay from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our visit. We especially enjoyed the indoor pool, which was a great bonus. In the evening, we dined at the waterfront restaurant opposite the hotel and the food was absolutely delicious. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with great blackout blinds and an exceptionally comfy bed that ensured a perfect night’s sleep. We woke refreshed and enjoyed the included buffet breakfast, which offered a wide variety of tasty food and drinks. Overall, we had a brilliant experience and would happily return again in the future. Highly recommended!

A great stay, great facilities, the room was comfortable but looking a little tired. The restaurant was very good. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. We will definitely plan to stay here again.

Highly overpriced especially with only swimming pool access to the spa, rooms really need updating and general maintenance. Simple additions like slow closing doors so they don't slam and soundproofing the noise from adjacent rooms, as they are very easy to hear. A good clean too there were marks on the walls, kettle and hair in the bath.

Check-in was rapid and handled by consistently friendly staff. The room was of standard size, though the bathroom was notably small. Temperature control relied on an aging water-heater unit that required some effort to understand. Several cosmetic defects were present, including paint splashes on curtains, walls, and power outlets. Light leakage from the corridor was significant, and noise insulation was inadequate; conversations, coughing, and even restroom use from nearby rooms were clearly audible. The bathroom’s layout was inefficient, requiring the door to be closed before the toilet could be used. Cleanliness was acceptable, and towels were provided in adequate quantity and size. Breakfast offered a wide range of options with good overall taste. Food outside breakfast was of high quality. Although the hotel contains a gym, spa, and other facilities, these were not used and cannot be assessed. All staff interactions were polite, friendly, and efficient. No issues occurred beyond the structural and acoustic limitations already noted. Value for money is reasonable when using only the room and breakfast. Guests who take advantage of the additional facilities may experience improved overall worth.

After seeing the online pictures, we couldnt wait to come and stay, but what a disapointment. The place looked nothing like the pictures online. The spa was dirty, hot tub....I couldnt even see my feet the water was so dirty, over half of the jets did not work and there were limited bubbles. The plaster was peeling off the roof, some light fittings were falling out of the holes in the roof. Information about the spa and resort is online and not very user friendly. We had food in the resort restraunt, very dissapointing, cutlery and glasses were dirty. The quality was poor and the table was sticky and dirty. Breakfast the next day was not much better. Everythong was self service and not much assistance from staff. The grounds and pathways around the resort were worn and shabby looking. The room was clean overall, although we did find blood stains on the patio door on the outside and railings of patio were rusty. Decore of hotel is dated and musty smelling. Staff at reception had no uniform and did not look or act professionally. Very dissapointed and would not recommend and would not stay againt.

Room looked tired and was in need of updating and shower floor needed a full re-grout. But the restaurant and bar area were lovely and the food was surprisingly good. Had to send my starter back, as despite declaring I was a coeliac 3 times, on booking, on entry to the restaurant and again on ordering, they still sent it out with normal bread on. Once highlighted though the staff were quick to send it back and it was re-made which was good. So often the offending item is simply removed, but I was happy they remade it. The staff were lovely too. And the food was surprisingly good. Yes the hotel is tired, we didn't use the spa so couldn't comment, but we had a lovely stay anyway.

Room had stains on the wall. The walls were very thin, one could hear nexts doors conversion and night time activities very clearly. Waitress at dinner was chewing gum whilst taking our order. Furniture felt grubby with lots of stains on them. In general the hotel felt it needed a good face lift. In the steam room lots of tiles missing.
