This was a good choice if you want to be quite close to the main ski lifts both for Groste region but also Marileva/Folgarida. The room was quitw big. Very clean but a bit dated bathroom. Nice views of the surrounding mountains. Very nice and rich breakfasts. Quite a long way from the centre Madonna (over 2km) with a steap way back. Hotel offers a free shuttle bus but the last run in the evening is around 19.30 so not possible to use it for a dinner or party in town. Very nice spa with 3 steam rooms, jacuzzi, small swimmig pool. Good variety of spa treatments too.
My wife and I and our 2 girls ages 4 and 7 stayed 7 nights in this charming hotel on the slopes of Madonna di Campiglio and were extremely impressed with this hotel. So much so that I thought it would be a shame not to recommend it to other ski goers. To be honest, I try to shy away from 4 star hotels, especially in Italy which is known for having old (sad) and badly maintained hotels. We actually had very low expectations and chose to go to this hotel because we wanted to ski together with our friends who chose this hotel, despite our strong reservations… Boy were we wrong and boy were we impressed! Incredibly enough, everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. The room we got was one of the more modern style rooms. The room was nice, with a mountain style décor, but felt like it was only recently renovated and was really much nicer than we thought it would be. Our friends who requested an antique-style looking room had an equally impressive room which was done in a different style but also very nice and specious. Immediately upon arrival we were assisted with our luggage and given keys to special ski cabinets where you could look your skies and boots, at no extra cost. We used this spaces to store our ski equipment and other belonging throughout our stay. Breakfast was very impressive even for standards of 5 star hotels in which we stayed in Italy. Lots of choices of fruit, pastry (all tasting freshly baked that morning and really delicious). There is an egg (omelet) station with a chef preparing eggs to your liking every morning, and you can even ask for freshly squeezed orange juice from the waiter. Coffee always came quickly after ordering it and the staff always served us with a smile and was very kind an helpful and really tried their best to get you what you asked for. We stayed on a half board basis and were really impressed with the variety of the food choices. There was always a very impressive buffet of salad, cold cuts, cheese and bread. Every night the hotel offered several choices for pasta (primo) and main dish (secondo). There was always more then one choice we wanted to try and sometimes we tried more than one… (they really were flexible and went out of their way to please the guest). Wine menu with lots of choices and reasonable prices. The food was EXCELANT and we really enjoyed it. And then there was the desert buffet. The hotel has an extremely talented pastry chef and we wee blown away with the desert choices, the abundance of the desert and how delicious they all were. I speak as someone that considers himself very picky when it comes to food (especially desert) and I got to tell you that I do not recall the last time that I stayed in a hotel (and we normally go to 5 star hotels where we spend over €700/night) where the desert buffet had so many options which were all so great tasting… needless to say the drawback to this was that I had to go on a sugar withdrawal program when I got back from this vacation. Kids (and Kids Club): The hotel has an AMAZING KIDS CLUB. The staff of the club is great. Our daughters are especially in love with Nicole! The staff was really caring and our girls enjoyed so much spending time with them. The best thing about this hotel is that the staff of the kids club would go to the slope next to the hotel, where the closest ski lift is, and pick our kids every day when they were finished with their daily ski lesson. So our girls finished their ski lesson at around 13:00, someone from the kids club would go, pick up our girls from their ski instructor, bring them into the hotel (helping them carry the ski equipment), undress them from their ski clothes, dress them with the changing clothes we left for them in the kids club earlier that morning, and then take the kids for lunch in the hotel. After lunch they would take our kids to the kids club for fun games, art activities and entertain them for the rest of the afternoon. We would get back from our day of skiing and on some days we would pick them up right away and on other days we would first go to enjoy the spa for a couple of hours and then picked them up… are you getting this? it was really a great arrangement. In the evening, our kids typically ate with us (thought you can arrange for them to eat with the kids club also dinner if you like). They normally would finish eating after 20 minutes and then, while we continued to dine in leisure, our girls went back to the evening events of the kids club which typically involved dancing, singing, and other fun activities (one night there was a magic show another nights there were card and casino-type games for kids). We had difficulties pulling our girls from the kids club at around 22:30 when we were basically falling asleep ourselves after a long day of skiing and exaggerated eating at dinner… The spa: The hotel has a nice spa where we had 2 massage treatments during our stay. There is also a sauna and Turkish bath and a small Jacuzzi. The Jacuzzi could have been bigger (it can only fit 4 persons which is as not big as it probably should be for this size of hotel), but we managed to enjoy it nevertheless. The spa has a nice relaxation room which offered hot herbal tea, water and fresh apples every day. While kids are not allowed in the general spa area, the spa has a swimming pool which our kids enjoyed swimming and playing in on some of the days. It’s actually impressive that they allow kids to this pool as many other ski hotels have limitations on kids access to the pool. The water in this pool was a bit too cold for us, and maybe if the hotel is reading this, I would recommend heating it up a bit more so also adults can enjoy it… Ski access: Just behind the hotel (behind the spa) there is an area where one can walk a few meters and get on the first ski lift. Which brings me to the only thing that was a bit of a minus about this hotel: ATTENTION MANAGEMENT: The only drawback, of this hotel, and if there was one thing I would change and I think that the management of the hotel should urgently fix is the location of the ski room relative to the ski lift. The hotel put the ski room on the opposite side of the hotel. This means that in the mornings when you go skiing and in the afternoon when you are back from the slope you need to carry your skies for about 100 meters (maybe a bit more on the way back from the slope up-hill through the parking lot of the hotel). While this is not a big deal, if the hotel decided to do something about it and move their ski room to the other side of the hotel (close to where the spa is, or next to the bar/sci-rental shop), this problem could be solved. For people with small kids this is especially challenging as in the morning we had to also carry the skies of our kids. So, if someone from the management of the hotel is reading this, please do something about the location of your ski room as we want to come back skiing with you next year!!! All in all, and despite the short daily exercise of carrying the skies in the morning/afternoon, we had a great stay in this hotel, we found it to be very well run, service was wonderful and WE WERE REALLY IMPRESSED!!! We will definitely be back in this hotel in the next skiing season.
Fantastic Hotel in Madonna di Campiglio. We were fantastically welcomed and served by Maitre Franco, in the restaurant of the Hotel. Hotel amenities were very good for us, the pool was good for the kids and the kids club was very good to entertain them and the restaurant was very good. The Carlo Magno ski course is just in front of the Hotel which makes it a ski in ski out Hotel. If we were to return to Madonna di Campiglio, this would definitely be our choice.
My husband and I went on a family skiing adventure for a week. There was 13 of us in total. The service was amazing. The maitres Renato Arra and Franco Randazzo and servers Giacomo and Marco were all very attentive. Our cappuccinos were waiting for us as we arrived and the special wine we ordered was on the table before we got to dinner. Highly recommend this hotel! We will be back next year! Ciao!
We spent a wonderful week with my family. The location is perfect for skiing, the staff was always very helpful and welcoming, a special thanks to the barman Simone (he gave me a different original drink creation every night!) and the waiters Giacomo, Renato, Carmelo and the rest of the staff. The spa was incredibly relaxing, and a special thank also to Marcella. Recommend to ski fans, families, and everyone who wants to relax in a beautiful place like Madonna di Campiglio!
We have booked a double executive room. The room we got wasn't the same as on the pic we booked. Pics are attached what we got. Service is not nice. Rooms are terribly old. It's like a hotel without any stars. Seems it has never been refurbished since 1980. Wifi doesn't work. Not worth the money. Never stay in this hotel! The only good thing is a view and location.
Great deal for family skiing. Much more reasonable price than the rest of hotels in Madonna di Campiglio. Ski lifts on both mountains located only 100 meters from the hotel. The hotel is located next to a blue track but that is functional only when there is lots of snow. The hotel is not new but still ok and functional, while the wellness center is renovated. Hotel staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the special care from the waiters especially Franco Randazzo and Salvo La Mantia, who helped with explaining typical italian food. Not luxury hotel, but really reasonable for the money spent.
Came skiing with family. There are easy slopes just in front so if you are a first timer this place is perfect. It is on the slope, but it takes a while to go up. Although there are no cable cars - so not so much waiting Restaurant - great food. Very good choice. Kids happy. Rooms - a lot depends on what you get - there are rooms in the old part of the hotel (worse) and new part (better). Make sure you know what room you are getting before going.
Breathtakingly beautiful! A very nice driving range with a spectacular view. It is a 9 hole course so you play it twice should you want the full 18 holes. Lunch on the patio was excellent but be sure to bring a sweater or jacket. Even in a sunny day in August it can be chilly!! The walking trails in the mountains nearby are know for the great trails and beautiful scenery .
Not bad , reminds me of the hotel in Dirty Dancing ! Food is self service and music in The evening is 😱 but overall is ok ! Golf is ok ! A week is enough , maybe even a weekend ! Rooms are clean and fairly big ! Spa is ok and pool has Too many children ! No sky TV !
