1st room, sat on edge of bed and mattress flipped up and off the bed 2nd room not bad pool not open (same as last year) looked like a cesspool, had to walk across the busy 4 lane road to go to pool at hotel across the street granddaughter left her Nike shoes in room and the maid "threw" them away. They did reimburse me for them
This was my 4th stay at this hotel and reserved it on short notice. Was never disappointed until this stay and only mildly. The accommodations were fine except that after I had settled in for the night, I noticed a used bandaid and some sticky residue on the desktop in the room. It was late and I didn't feel like moving rooms. Also noticed in the morning when I showered, the wall above the toiletries shelf in the shower and on the shower curtain had beard stubble. I informed the desk in the morning and was told there was new management and cleaning staff that would be informed as well as they immediately offered me a 15% discount coupon for my next stay. Also noticed that the yogurt in the breakfast bar was past its best by date by 3 days. In spite of this, I would stay again as this was this first time in 4 stays I had an issue. Have always previously be treated well and accommodations been more than acceptable.
Once again the stay was good. The hotel left a thank you card and some chocolates. The bed this time wasn't as comfortable(too firm for me) and the A/C-heat unit ran constantly(albeit moderately quiet) even once the set temp was reached. Price and accommodations were worth it, again, overall
It's a motel, so expectations are lower. Bathroom was very clean, housekeeping staff was great. Free wifi worked well. Bed was ok. Pillows were horrible. I knew I need to bring my own pillow but forgot. Learn from me, bring your own. Parking lot is small and we were in late, still found a spot but it was almost full. Didn't try the continental breakfast though it appeared to be just cereal and coffee.
This is a very nice hotel. It's on the expensive side for one night. I've stayed here aoubd 5 times although it has only been a Knights Inn the last to times.
Check-in went smoothly and the room was ready right away. The room and bathroom were very clean, and our room even had a mini fridge, which was nice. Overall it's a solid choice.
We had a great stay at the Knights Inn in Traverse City, MI. this past week when I needed to be there for a doctors appointment. The staff is so friendly and the location is very convenient. When we got there and checked in, we found our room ready and a note on the bedside table welcoming us by name and a few pieces of chocolate. The rooms are very clean and the beds so comfortable. The continental breakfast is very adequate and the breakfast room felt just like being at home. We have stayed there before and will again.
Nice people and very clean. Close to down town and the water.
Good location, Very clean rooms, Comfortable beds, Good rates, Great staff. Nothing fancy in the way of peripherals, but definitely a Yes stay!
Traverse City is three hours away from our home and had a morning Dr. apt so went the night before and stayed at Knights Inn. We were very pleased with the hotel, the cleanliness and the service. Very convenient location and not over priced. Our trip was not for recreation, but it was exactly what we needed for accommodations. Will stay there again.
Customer service was great, location was decent for a low price. The only problem I had was the wifi was not working at all but the staff was very good at resolving the problem.
We stay here every year, it is always clean and QUIET and inexpensive and right on he main road near everything. Beds aren't like my temperpedic at home but clean and quiet and location are most impt to me, and staff is always wonderful.
For a hotel that was budget hotel priced, it was premium hotel pleasant! Room, amenities and breakfast bar was 4 star. Still too cool for outside pool which wasn't open anyway. Would stay anytime and recommend to anyone as long as things don't change. Price does rival 4-5 star hotels in summer season though still less.
Room was clean, comfortable and economical. There's road noise, but I think that is true for any hotel along the main strip into TCity and it does get quiet after 11 PM.
We were in town for the cherry festival, for the price we had to pay I was a little disappointed. However it was a great location to be close to downtown.
Had been to Traverse City several times for work and leisure but never stayed at Knights Inn. Had a king size bed that was extremely comfortable for my bad back and the room was equal to any I have stayed that were 2-3 times the price at a 3-4 star motel. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was pretty plain, cereal, donuts, bagels and yogurts, coffee and juice but satisfying. The prices will escalate substantially during tourist season but should be worth the cost yet still les than others. Definitely a place to consider.
Good bang for buck , nothing fancy. A good place for a short overnight stop.Would stay again .
My husband and I wanted to get away for a couple days, but to do it cheap. This was a very good place for the price! We paid a little extra to get a jacuzzi room. It wasn't anything too nice or fancy. The room was basic and there is only an outdoor pool unfortunately. But it was very cheap, close to town, great staff and comfy beds. Would definitely go back.
The amenities were minimal at this hotel, but as described. The location to downtown was convenient and easy. The room was the biggest disappointment. The odor reminded me of an ashtray despite the no smoking placards that were found in the room. The beds sagged in the middle. It appeared that the carpet hadn't been vacuumed in quite some time. However, the bathroom was very clean. The weather was chilly during the week I stayed, resulting in my room hovering in the high 50's to low 60's... The hotel had decided not to start up their heating system (brrrrrrrr) in case the weather warmed back up. Breakfast was minimal, but provided that quick bite before heading out for the day. I would be hard pressed to return.
Bouncy beds Was no heat on a cold September. They couldn't go back and forth between heat or AC, so it was stuck on AC in about high 30 degree temperatures.... that sucked.
