My stay was very nice. The room was very clean and updated.

I've stayed at GTR more times than I can count and have hosted many business events there. The staff is always amazing and I have always been impressed by their level of attentiveness and details. Unfortunately, this last stay wasn't so great. I'd never stayed on the old hotel side before, only in the Tower rooms or condos. This time I was in the old part and...well, yuck. I was on the ground floor, across from the ice machine and around the corner from the bar and restaurant which were loud - I could hear everything through the door. My sheets smelled like old fried food (guessing because the room was near the restaurants?) Both packages of coffee condiments had been opened and were missing stir sticks. The carpet had seen better days. Overall it just wasn't the peaceful night I was looking for. That being said, the rest of the property is stunning and I can't say enough good things about the staff. I just got stuck in a bad room. I could have asked for a change but frankly, I was exhausted. I'll definitely be back but will make sure I only stay in a Tower room or condo.

The room was clean for the most part. It was nothing special and for the price we paid, way over rated. We were on the bottom floor, which was fine, but the floor in the hallway was taped in places where it had ripped. The Lobby was beautiful. I'm just not sure why we paid over $200 a night and got stuck in the dingy old basement.

The rooms were older if you don't stay in the tower rooms. They were super loud and couldn't get a restful sleep. Switched rooms and it wasn't any better. The hotel staff was ok but didn't go above or beyond. Pool was nice and the sunsets from the Aerie Resaturant.

Beautiful hotel. Plenty of shopping and things to do onsite.

Grand Traverse is a great hotel. You can still see it for miles. The service is tremendous and the amenities are out of site. IT is however a bit dated. Now with the casino, there is strong competition. If you a looking for a great stay with golf, restaurants and plenty of space for you and a party, this is still the gem of the area.

the hotel was great and a great location thanksgiving day brunch and service was great facility and pool was very nice

I hadthe worst experience at this so called resort and spa..equivalent to motel 8. Save ur money and go somewhere else.

I will not be back nor will I recommend grand traverse resort and spa. Room service would not answer the to put in a order at all. Called different times of days. Rooms were extremely dirty and we're not helpful . I had to check out early and drive 3 hours to go home.

Didn't spend much time in the room, but the room was very clean and we had a wonderful time. The 24-hour shuttle to the casino was amazing and helpful when my parents wanted to go back to the hotel and my brother and I wanted to continue playing.

Went to the Grand Traverse as a bridal party member for a NYE wedding. From the get go the front desk staff was below par. While my room was ready a few hours early they seem completely suprised that I was a wedding party member or that there was even a wedding about to take place at their hotel. When booking my room left notes saying what I was in for. Bride also discussed with them mutiple times that there were good bags to be sent to the room, I got them as I was headed to the airport after the wedding. Before heading up multiple people called and were told there was a steamer for our dresses, when I got there, was told that no steamer existed and that they could send the dresses out and they may be back in time for the wedding. Also while the rooms are comfortable, they are dated and the walls are very thin, partly due to connecting doors on both sides of the room. Bar tenders and shuttle drivers were all great, but the same can not be said for the rest of the staff.

Very old building. Small and low ceiling. High price but not worth to stay on top they charge me $14 times two for each room.

I stayed in the hotel rooms, which were a little outdated, but everything worked perfectly. The beach requires a shuttle, so can be a little waste of time to get there and come back. The health club is perfect, don´t miss dinner at Aerie, amazing view!

It was very nice although we didn't get to spend as much time at the resort as we would have liked due to previous arrangements. It was clean and the staff was very friendly at check-in and check-out. It looked like there was a lot to do there and activities in the evening to entertain.

Very comfy, firm mattresses; quiet room; gorgeous surroundings. The Resort is located in Acme, far eastern side of T City. But we were in the area for graduation at Interlochen Academy of the Arts, which is southwest of T City. Consequently, we had to traverse the entirety of Traverse City to get back and forth from Interlochen. Takeaway: if you're going for Interlochen, stay somewhere else, closer to Interlochen.

the rooms were great. I felt the the price for the stay is little too much for the quality you get. the people were courteous.

Great night at the Grand Traverse Resort. We went for Valentine's Day evening and had a wonderful night. There were events going on and they were very accommodating. The only negative thing is that we were put right next to a room with kids and a family so it was quite loud. Besides that, we had a great time in a very nice hotel.

stayed in the towers and had a fantastic trip. would have liked to have had a better view of the bay by having a room on west side of building and on higher floor. overall, a great vacation getaway.

Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. The Grand Traverse is a wonderful upscale hotel. The staff at the front desk was friendly, informative, and worked well together as it was very busy. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable other than that room was average. Did not eat at any of the resturants but did head up to bar Arie for cocktails. Very nice decor. Again service was great and enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel. Did not use golf course or spa but have on other visits to hotel and they are excellent as well.

Resort/hotel is nice but very expensive for what you get. Our shower did not work and had to be repaired. The toilet seat was broken and the room was nothing special. After you pay for your room you pay an additional 14.95 per day "resort" fee.
