Complex is situated in a nice seaside location but unfortunately in a quite remote area which leaves you with limited options for dining and activities. One should consider shuttle expense to commute between city and or scooter rent (which is available at the hotel). We were lucky and got loud neighbors twice. First time managed to upgrade to seaside villa with extra payment (staff let us choose between 3 options, what was nice). NB! This stay at huge villa definitely raised the rating at least 2 stars (because first room was not nice at all). Second time luckily someone told the party gang to move further to the beach. As hotel is in the north the climate is more cooler than in the south. Warmer clothing in the morning and evening time was handy. Main problem for us was that compared to other hotels and places in Thailand the hotel staff was not very friendly and seemed kind of tense all the time. That left us as clients the feeling of not being very welcome at the place. Overall, considering the 30-50% higher prices in Aiyapura Resort, compared to the Koh Chang accommodation prices and experience we got - it was not value for the money we paid.

Beautiful property, beautiful Thai style units, nice balcony, great view, we had pool, garden view, was fantastic. Breakfast included, great variety, fresh, fancy coffee available. Staff very friendly. The resort is a bit older looking, but kept well and nice.

Very well presented hotel, rooms are good size, the grounds are very well maintained. Good swimming pool...and scenic walks. The location lets it down, its isolated and a long way from the to white sands beach area. We were here 2 nights, had I booked longer I think in all probability I would have checked out early.

This property has a lot of potential. Unfortunately a lot of the gardens are over grown and the facilities not well maintained. The beds are comfortable and the view of the beach is amazing. Our shower did not work on arrival but was quickly fixed by maintenance.

A little tired hotel.. it is quit and realaxing, but pretty old. Everything is old and looks so... starting from old stile small TV in the room and finishing with the pool, chairs.. everything. Also you have to walk up and down the hill, pretty expensive restaurant on the beach with okey food, not like it’s goid, it’s okey.. and there are nicer beaches and nicer properties on Koh Chang.. also it is more then 2km away from the main road.. pretty far from everything... it is okey.. but can’t give it more then 3 points... there are more convenient located and better options in my opinion.. it’s Ok though.. the views are beautiful.

Sold as an upmarket beach hotel the marketing photos look great when I booked however we were given a tired small budget room at the end of the complex that had no bearing on the advertised rooms. Room was dark, bulb missing in ceiling light. Brown painted walls and dark old furniture. TV was old type with a poor quality picture. Bathroom had shower hose over the bath But bracket to hold the rose was 3ft above an old bath with dirty brown grout. The water was not hot and poor water pressure too Needless to say I gave the shower and bath a miss. Main reception was nice and staff helpful, pool are and beachfront nice and restaurant was smart with a nice breakfast. Overall our room was not as advertised so disappointed especially at the cost. It was advertised as 4 star hotel and we had a 2 star room. Maybe the rooms advertised are nice but the budget block is not mentioned.

Great service and awesome staff!!

Amazing place. We enjoyed it very much. The staff were very friendly. Mrs. Nunnapatt known as Aey was very professional, so helpful and accommodating. The place is dog friendly and my dog enjoyed it very much, specially playing with Mr. Alex, the bellman, what a great smile he has. We will be back.

The best place overall!

The best place we stayed on our entire vacation! The staff was always friendly and helpful. The facilities were amazing. And the location was absolutely beautiful! Then add peacocks on your private balcony and a great breakfast to make the experience completely perfect.

Quiet location great views.

Hotel and reception staff excellent. Restaurant was a let down as service was slow and the meal I ordered was different on each night . The first nights meal was as expected but though the same meal was ordered there was less vegetables the presentation was not as good as was not as shown in the menu. My girlfriends meal was as shown but was served slowly and not as the same time . The staff made the excuse they were busy but there were only about 5 other people eating in the restaurant at that time.

One of the best

To be honest other Thai island looks more suitable for me. Koh Lanta is more quiet, Koh Samui is more chic, north Koh Phangan is more serenity. I'm not a big fan of Koh Chang but this hotel is one of the best: private harbour with private beach (good for swimming morning and day time), big, very well designed and maintained hotel area. Nice restaurants, helpful staff, free shuttles two time per day to White Sand Beach and small village nearby with nice Orthodox chirch. Rooms (villas) looks pretty old designed but nice too. Overall - good for relax.
