Stayed only one night as was passing through but would like to have stayed a little longer. Trang itself has a nice feel about it and is very enjoyable to wonder about and explore. This little hotel is ideally located and good value for money. Staff were friendly and hotel has a lovely charm and authenticity about it. Rooms may be a little tired and worn but thats kind of the reason i liked it. Had a very spacious room with balcony overlooking the main road and train station. Also there is a really good cafe restaurant attached called 1952 which has delicicious food (both thai and western menu... both tastey). I would recommend it and i would stay here again.
Worst hotel experience of my life. My room was infested with ants (there was a nest in the bed - see photo). Was bitten alive and then moved the mattress to reveal hundreds of ants in the bed. The guard reluctantly moved me to another room. No apology was given. The next day I was asked to pay 100b extra to stay in the new room as it was a double room. I asked to speak to the owner as I found this ridiculous. He said okay stay in the room I can talk to the owner later. I came down from my room 20 min later and was told the room was now not available. Horrible management, terrible experience. There are nicer hotels available in the area for cheaper. AVOID.
Sri-Trang hotel is really well located to enjoy a few days exploring Trang town. The rooms are basic but clean and perfectly functional. Complimentary tea and coffee in reception is a nice touch. The hotel has a small restaurant / cafe attached which is really excellent. Would thoroughly recommend.
Conveniently located near the train station which hosts the night market with a kind welcoming host Sritrang is an excellent choice for any traveller. the room was clean and comfortable. not fancy more industrial in style but for me as a solo traveller with a budget perfect. An important word of advice however there is a tour agency next door do not go there. I lost 900baht booking a taxi i didn't need because the person there convinced me I would have to come all the way back to Trang in order to travel from Ko sukon to ko libong. I feel foolish admitting I was so gloriously ripped off but hope that my experience can be a lesson to others. You rarely need to go all the way back to Trang to affordably transfer islands. save yourself money do not enter that tour office!!
Excellent location. If you are here on weekend there is a divine night market outside your doorstep! Clean, cosy and well furnished. The reception is not that helpful for tours. Go around the corner to book "3 island day trip" and "Koh Roc" - go to two or three agents and get the best price! Most will use Jaravee Tours as the operator who are excellent.
Stayed here for a night. Staff are friendly, location is good (next to railway station and night market). Room was clean but the only window faced the hallway (our friends had a room with a window facing the train station. Good value for money. Cafe 1952, located in the same building, had great breakfast.
Friendly staff. Excellent location for a quick stop over in Trang. Cafe 1952 located on same property highly recommended. Staff well spoken and always willing to answer questions on things to do and see in and around Trang
We stayed here for 1 night while waiting for our train. It is located right opposite the train station but our room was very quiet. The room curtains don't keep out much of the light though. At about SGD25 per night it is good value. Late checkout to 4pm is an additional 300TBt. Breakfast is not included but there are many places to eat nearby. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom worked fine. WiFi is also ok. Overall it was quite ok for us.
Peaceful location , nearby transportation as train , available to rent the motorcycle to drive and visit the city, service is good, room is clean and comfortable, price not too high, there is the travel agency nearby the hotel for foreign to buy tours.
We stayed overnight between an island trip and a bkk return and were so delighted to find Sri Trang. It was a gem. We were given a nice room at a great price (due to low season). The room was very clean, had cute decorative details, and was comfortable. The staff was really helpful and warm. The lobby was an great place to hang out and had a coffee shop vibe - hot water and powdered drink/tea choices were free. It was right next to the train station and a small night market. The larger night market was a 20-minute walk up the street. It's a budget hotel so we won't give it an "excellent" but it was certainly a great deal for the cost and we would gladly stay again. It was a great recommendation from some fellow travelers.
