Stunning Location!
I can’t say enough about this location. If you’ve ever dreamed of living in a tree house with all the comforts of home, this is the place to come. We hiked, explored the quaint towns in the area and went to a music festival at The Caverns. Fantastic family vacation and we will definitely be back!

Relaxing trip
Great place very well equipped and easy to get to. Close to anything you would want to do whether it be fine dining or remote hikes with beautiful scenery. Andrew was very responsive and gave detailed answers to my questions. We will go back again when we have a chance. Sitting out on the deck listening to the creek and waterfall will be sorely missed

Week Long Disconnect
The listing photos dont do this place justice. A great private location, subtle background noise from the waterfall, and everything provided that you could need. Closets filled with board games and a deck with grill & fireplace.

Family Time
As our kids are getting older and more independent it’s a rarity to have some time away with all of them. This cabin and trip provided just that. It was a relaxing, peaceful, full of laughter trip. The cabin was clean and cozy. The property was gorgeous and allowed all of us including our four legged “kids” to enjoy and explore it. The check in was seamless. The hosts communicated everything well. All the essentials were supplied. We couldn’t have asked for a better time away.

Great place to relax
My husband and I stayed at the Lodge for 5 days in Oct. We had great weather. The leaves were changing so the area was beautiful. The house has everything that you could want for a nice stay. The decks on the front and back were a nice place to recharge and enjoy nature. Andrew our host was excellent. Made us feel very welcome. We plan to book again.

Fabulous!
We had an amazing time at the Fiery Gizzard Lodge! Andrew made sure we got checked in and answered any questions we had as needed. It was rainy off and on but we still managed to get in some amazing hikes there on the property, in the state park and also in nearby Sewanee (also saw University of the South) and Altamont— Greeter Falls area. We did a lot of playing games, cooking and spending time going up and down the hill to Sycamore Falls and listening to the falls on the deck. Chimney Rock is so interesting. The property is stunning and there was wildlife galore— deer, turkey, rabbits. The lodge was perfect and had everything we needed. We also visited the Mountain Goat Market, Papa Ron’s and Fox Monteagle store which is eclectic and fun. Hwy 56 coffee in Altamont is super cute and the owner of Dutch Maid bakery made me my birthday cake— homemade, delicious on a real cake dish! Thank you Andrew for sharing your space! It is a true gem! We would love to visit again. ~Aimee

Wonderful!
A completely updated property sitting on one of the best hiking locations in the Southeast. Property owner/manager is very focused on you having a wonderful stay. Property descriptions are all accurate. The back deck looking down over Firey Gizzard Gorge and the waterfalls is alone worth booking this home. Very peaceful location to get recharged. I'd book it again in a heartbeat.

Five Star Property - Mountain Getaway
Truly the best Vrbo we have ever stayed in. The home was absolutely immaculate and had EVERYTHING a family could need for a fun and relaxing vacation. All sleeping areas were comfortable. Two showers! AMAZING three tiered deck! Great hiking all around including on property waterfall only a 15-20 min hike away. Grill made for easy meals. So relaxing! Do NOT miss out on this amazing home for your next vacation

WOW! What an AMAZING home!
This home and its grounds are a slice of paradise! The view from the deck is beautiful and so peaceful--2 waterfalls! We had our coffee and breakfast on the deck every morning and ate several dinners there too. The kitchen has new appliances and is stocked with everything, including spices, needed to cook great meals. There is also a nice gas grill and a park grill (for people like my husband who love old school charcoal grilling). The bed in the master was so comfortable, with soft, high quality sheets and cozy blankets that made me not want to get up. The house has a lot of space that flows well and is furnished optimally. It allows people to either be together or alone as they want, which would be great for family gatherings. The trails on the property were well marked and easy to follow. We loved that we could easily run into Monteagle and Tracy City for anything we needed while still feeling like we were in the middle of the woods at the property. This home was the perfect place for the long, relaxing weekend we planned. I look forward to staying there again.

Absolute amazing cabin!!!
The entire process was extremely easy, and the cabin was amazing. It was great to be in the woods and in touch with natire. The town is amazing and so many amazing shops to visit. There is even a stage for concerts in town, but nothing was lined up when we stayed. We are looking forward to the opportunity to visit again.

Location can’t be beat
Stunning property with stream, swimming hole, waterfall, beautiful trails and vistas. Home is clean, nicely appointed and comfortable. Deck is the perfect place to relax in the evening. We used it as a base to ride in prentice cooper. An absolute 5 star.
