Crowne Plaza ANA Toyama

4.0 out of 5.0

I just finished an excellent 5 night stay at the Toyama ANA Crowne Plaza. I had a lovely and spacious (by Japanese standards) corner room with views over the castle in one direction and to the mountains in the other. Well located, the hotel is close to very many restaurants and a short 5 minute taxi ride/leisurely 15 minute walk from the main railway station. All the staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. I shall certainly stay at the Crowne Plaza again when I next visit Toyama.

Had a corner room, very nice. Breakfast excellent. Stayed a couple of nights. Tram runs just outside / up the road a little so you can use that to access some the city, station etc. The hotel also gave us two free tickets for four journeys that saved us 400 yen as a gift when we left. The castle is across the road and gardens. Nice views from the top bar of the hotel. We were chilled out and recouped from our London flight after staying here and ready to set off exploring the region.

Room was larger than in Osaka All staff both professional and friendly Room was two twin beds with chair, sofa and work desk Mini bar with beer, snacks and juice. 50% off for hotel chain Members Bathroom standard for Japan. Hand held shower and amenities Overall highly recommend Did I mention the view was the Toyama Castle!

The location of ANA Crowne Hotel is strategic - giving much convenience to guests. It is right in the middle of the city. A mere 5-minute drive from the Shinkansen train station. More importantly, it is opposite Toyama Castle, a perfect destination for tourists, rich in Japanese history. The room is clean and has much larger space compared to usual Japanese hotels that I've stayed in Tokyo. It has complete amenities and I really appreciate those small things for added convenience, such as number of coat hangers, presence of ironing board, Shiseido toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotion). Check-in and check-out procedures were quick and hassle-free. Very efficient staff. Overall, I had a great time in this hotel despite staying only for 2 nights.

As a IHG Platinum Ambassador member, I had a 2 nights stay in Crowne Plaza Toyama. * As we had a late flight from Tokyo, the airport bus was not an option. The taxi would be the quickest and fuss-free way to arrive at the hotel. The ride was surprisingly not expensive at all. * We stayed in the executive room, which was newly renovated and large. It even included a massage chair! Interestingly, the bathroom did not seem renovated as compared to the other parts of the room, but it is of no issue. The normal rooms were quite small though. The executive room offered a spectacular view of the Japanese alps. * The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of Japanese and Western cuisine, and was extremely affordable. * Opposite the hotel was the supermart for easy access to groceries and a nice selection of ice cream desserts. * To reach the JR station, it was a nice 10-15 minutes walk. It is also easily accessed by the tram. Get the ticket from the front desk. We enjoyed this stay in the Crowne Plaza Toyama, and we hope to be back again soon.

The hotel is easy to reach via airport bus or tram to the railway station. Good helpful service, comfortable and in a good location near the historic castle, shops and restaurants. Average-sized room.

Hotel is centrally located . Hotel is 3 stops from the main station by tram . Rooms were small but comfortable . Stayed here for 2 nights . Breakfast spread was moderate . Their Hot Choclate was Heavenly . The staff were courteous and helpful ...

This is a very nice hotel, the room was clean, and comfortable. The staff is friendly, the location is in the middle of the city and you can stroll the city whenever you want. The most memorable is the CHASUKE, it is in the breakfast buffet near the rice cooker. You must try it!

Great location, amazing view, nice rooms, very courteous staff. The list is too long...but one point which I must not forget is the humbleness of Japanese...they come out their comfort zone to help others...be it the housekeeper, be it a tram driver or anyone in the hotel staff....meeting them makes me realise that we are humans first and everything is secondary.

ANA We had a three night stay here in April 2017 (room 1220). The hotel is well situated, next to and overlooking Toyama Castle, which is the main tourist attraction in the city, and less than a mile from the railway station. There is a 7-11 store conveniently next to the hotel, which is handy for any little purchases you may need. The ANA is a modern hotel aimed mostly at business folk. Our room was a reasonable size, though it could have had a larger bed. The shower was excellent, and lighting in the room was good. There were a decent number of electrical sockets for recharging, a basic requirement of the modern traveler that all too many hotels overlook. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. Their level of English is variable, but their positive attitude is not. They were very responsive in sorting out restaurant reservations via email prior to my stay, and were able to fix a potentially awkward last minute problem at one of the places that we had booked, something that required a lot of work and some negotiation in their part with the restaurant. They went above and beyond what was reasonable to sort out the issue. I would happily stay here again.
