A small hotel at 15 minutes walking distance from the airport. Clean, acceptable, but nothing fancy. A few restaurants in the vicinity (e.g. Leon de Bruxelles) Somewhat a bit far away from the airport if you have luggage. You will have to take a taxi who accepts to carry you for such a short distance.
I knew where the hotel was, and having a hire car helped. This hotel has tiny rooms, the place does smell "damp" though. Shower doors are tiny. But you do get what you pay for, and it was cheap enough. Nice new Belgian themed restaurant has been built next door, I recommend this!!! :-)
Getting anywhere late evening is taxing enough, but to find that the reception closes at 11 (has the only vending machines) is bad enough but to find no literature on eateries is worse. Chasing around in the car to find somewhere was just another depressing aspect of the area its in. Then you find a bar / snack place a 100 meters away and as its midnight has closed. The room looked as if it was in the middle of refurbishment as the air conditioning unit was exposed, ran the cold water on the basin tap for a minute to get it clear. I don't like leaving negative reviews but I cannot be upbeat here.
It took me 17 minutes to walk from the airport terminal to the hotel with a case. Nearby there are several restaurants as the hotel does not do dinner, the nearest is 50m away. Negatives are no lift and, when I was there, no air-conditioning. It was 'being upgraded'. Sorry, Kyriad, I have had similar excuses at Kyriad Toulouse and Kyriad Aix. Not good enough. However, the room was spotless, and I thought the 9€ breakfast good, though cold fried eggs was an interesting addition!. Some comment on price. I paid 64€. This was fair, though my room being 50m from a busy road wasn't ideal as, without aircon, I wanted the window open. Would I go again? Probably.
Even though I had informed the hotel of my late arrival in my booking, no body contacted me to let me know I had to have a code to get in after 11pm. There is no sign to show the way to the hotel from the airport, even though the walk is feasible. The hotel staff does not pick up the phone, and you are not transferred to any after hour service representative. No indication how to connect to the internet in the room. Rooms are fine, but logistics wise it is extremely poor given it is an airport hotel!
First of all, my admission that we did not spend the night here after inspection. The hotel smelled bad when we entered. We learned that there was no elevator and our room was on an upper floor. We asked for a double bed and were given two undersized twins made up separately and pushed together. The corridors looked like a detention institution; the room drab and claustrophobic. There is no shuttle to and from the airport. A taxi costs $15-20 or you walk the 1/4 mile dragging your luggage to (or from) the terminals. The cost was almost the same as the much nicer Best Western next door.
The hotel is situated near to the airport. It is about 10 minutes walk. A taxi will charge 15 euros. To visit the city, you need to walk down to the airport and take a bus or a tram. Bus costs 8 euros and tram costs much lesser. The hotel is clean but no lift. I stayed on 2nd floor and had to carry my luggage to two floors. Rooms are not big. For breakfast the options are limited but ok. No lunch or dinner is served. Wifi is free. I think in one shift there is only one person to manage everything.
This Kyriad airport hotel at Toulouse (TLS) Blagnac is terrible. While the rooms are all right and the price was reasonable at 49 Euros per room, the hallways smelled musty and were mildew ridden. Located 1 km (~1/2 mile) from TLS airport, the Kyriad has no shuttle (navette), so we paid 15 Euros twice for a very short cab ride. With no restaurant or food service at the Kyriad, we were forced to walk 400 yards to the nearby McDonalds for dinner, or else pay another 30 Euros for cab service to another airport hotel that did have restaurant service. Stay away from this hotel. The Kyriad hotel chain should address the problems at this hotel immediately.
We stayed here in January just for one night and booked a twin room as my husband had a bad knee and we thought we would sleep better in separate beds. The room was tiny and the twin beds were squashed together, this was OK for us, but wouldn't have been if it was just two friends or colleagues sharing a room. However it didn't make for a good night's sleep as he was so close when he was tossing and turning it still woke me up. The bathroom door was right next to one side of one of the beds, luckily my husband didn't want to use the bathroom in the night or he would have woken me up trying to open the door. Because the room was small it was quite stuffy, however we couldn't open the window as we were on the ground floor and there was no safety catch on the window. The decoration and carpet looked a bit tired, but having said all that the room was very clean. There was a reasonable buffet breakfast for an extra €9 per head. For one night including the breakfast it cost us €109, which was pricey for what we got.
First of all, we arrived after midnight. Luckily we had called ahead and they gave us the night code and taped our room keys to the window for us. What they did not do was leave us the WIFI keycode, so they were not providing us the free (essential) wifi which was promised. Secondly, there was a pair of 'hygienic' one time use flip-flops which at first I thought was a novel idea. But then it occurred to me to question why they are actually giving these to guests...do they think that their bathrooms are so unhygienic that we need to used flip-flops? But we were glad to have them, because the bathroom smelled even worse that some of the filthiest bars in France, in terms of urine smell. It was so bad, we had to keep the door closed to sleep! Yet it was difficult to sleep, because in order to use their alarm clock, you have to keep the tv on all night, thereby a) wasting electricity and b) leaving a terrible ambient light in the room. The next morning, we had breakfast, which in all their literature was priced at 8 euros. Yet when we checked out, they (over) charged us with 9 euros for. We had no time to complain to get our money back, but they should not have done this, if all their information says it is 8 euors. This is the second time we have stayed here, due to it's proximity to the airport, and the Kyriad brand. We will definitely not stay again, and have lost alot of faith in Kyriad. Buy some toilet cleaner!!
