Whenever I visit Thales Alenia Space in Toulouse, I always choose to stay at residence Les Pins Galants in Tournefeuille. This is chiefly due to the location - it is an easy 15 minute drive to the office - but I must also say that the kitchenette provides extra flexibility if staying for several days as I often do: although the restaurant is very good quality and you are assured of a decent breakfast, sometimes one just needs something simple and light. The mini apartments are clean and nicely furnished, the staff are very friendly and I have always found it to be a much quieter option than to stay in the centre of Toulouse.

The location and environment are interesting and nice. The reception and restaurant staff are very welcoming. The dinner service is suitable for the scope. The room are clean but they need some renovations, for example it's not present the air conditioning.

We booked a roof for two persons with a small kitchen. The room was big and it had everything we needed. The kitchen had a small electrical stove, water cooker, a fridge and a dish washer. We thought the dish washer was a bit too much because there were not much dishes to wash anyway. But still, it was good enough to make our breakfast and lunches. The hotel also has a restaurant were you can have breakfast but for me as a healthy vegetarian there were not enough healthy vegetarian options, so I didn’t try this. We did not try the restaurant for dinner. The pool in the garden is very nice, but I don’t understand why it only opens until 10 am, which is unfortunate because on hot days it is nice to wake up with a nice swim!

We stayed here for a week the junior suite was a good size for three of us. It would have been better if the bedroom had air conditioning it was very hot at night but the weather was exceptional 32 degrees in the day. We paid for breakfast which was plentiful & the waitress always asked if we had finished before clearing away. The only 'typical English' observation was that tea pots would be good & stronger tea bags. We had dinner here one night & it was very good the service friendly but professional. If you arrive at weekend the restaurant is not open for dinner which was a little irritating we had takeaway pizza. There is a supermarket not far so we bought food & drinks there. There were some other eating places in the town which are in walking distance. The pool was great & really made the difference as we were there for a week so spent one day just sun bathing. Overall we were very satisfied with the accommodation, facilities & helpful staff.

My 10pm flight from Toulouse was cancelled at midnight and the airline booked this hotel for me and some other passengers after a long process at the airport. I finally arrived at 2.15am and from the minute I got to Les Pins Galants, what would have been a nightmare experience turned into an inconvenient but highly pleasurable experience. All the staff were amazing - helpful and calm, despite having a bunch of unexpected, tired and frustrated passengers arrive in the early hours. Every single staff member from reception to restaurant could not have done more to assist us, make us feel welcome and provide a level is hospitality that was truly outstanding. From the minute you walk into the grounds, there is an atmosphere of serenity and the accommodation is arranged in blocks around pretty lawned gardens with trees for shade for those who want it and garden furniture scattered around. As far as I could see, all rooms have either balconies or ground floor terraces and my room was actually an apartment with a double bedroom, bathroom and lounge with dining area, kitchen area and sofa bed. Everything was immaculately clean and fresh - from the room to the grounds, common parts and restaurant. Due to all of us having a 24hour delay to our next flight, many of us stayed all day at the hotel and again, the staff were so kind and helpful and let people use the lovely pool, gardens and reception area to pass the day. The pool is lovely, though I didn't get to use is and the restaurant is also a delight. I had breakfast and lunch, both of which were excellently served and of great quality. I cannot recommend Les Pins Galants more highly - the airliine paid of our rooms and when I looked at the prices, I was surprised at how reasonable they are for what you get. I am already looking at dates to return and spend a few days relaxing and feeling pampered in this delightful setting just outside the center of Toulouse, offering both an oasis of calm but with easy access to the centre of town. To all at Les Pins Galants, a very heartfelt thank you and I look forward to coming back.

Pros: Quiet and calm area, perfect to go run after stressed business day, very kind staff, clean, free WIFI Cons: Far away of the city centre, quality of breakfast not bad but with limited options, "old fashion" room, not really warm room, uncomfortable bathroom, no hotel amenities

Friendly staff. A limited menu but food is of good quality and nicely presented. Have stayed here a few times and always received a reliable service with a smile. Apartments are basic but clean and tidy. In two words - functional and friendly. Would recommend.

Needing somewhere to stay for the night after we had been to a concert some distance from home, we found this establishment only 15 minutes walk from the centre of this very pleasant neighbourhood. Being on an apartment basis, it was also useful as we needed a place that would accept dogs; we were travelling with our Golden Retriever. This location met all our needs most satisfactorily providing more than adequate accommodation that was clean, comfortable and convenient – we would certainly use it again.

This is a nice alternative to the busy hotels in the city centre, a more relaxing option. The rooms are quite spacious a seven have a small kitchen if you feel that way inclined. The on site restaurants so good but menu only in French. Other dining options in walking distance don't exist, so for other options you need to drive or take a taxi.

Overall this hotel is merely adequate. As a long-term guest, my room was cleaned only on a weekly basis – and to use the term “cleaning” is open to interpretation. All they did was mop/sweep the floors, change the linens, and give a cursory swipe to the toilet. All the dusting and kitchen upkeep was left up to me. The room (suite? - bedroom was separate from living area) had a full kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher and small refrigerator. I wouldn’t want to stay here in the summer because the air conditioner was in the living space not the bedroom; in fact, there was not even a ceiling fan in the bedroom. A plus: parking was seldom a challenge – even during holiday when the hotel overflowed with vacationing families. Parking was gratis. Staff was generally helpful – but the rate of accomplishing tasks (example – getting an itemized bill) was a snail’s pace. The breakfast , not included in the room rate, was a full ten euro more for simple, unexciting fare. Instead, scoot on down to one of the local bakeries to purchase fresh – I mean truly FRESH – bread. This hotel is conveniently located to a Carrefour store, the post office, tabac shops, gas stations, chocolate shops, laundry services (although the hotel offers a washer and dryer to guests). There are exceptional dining establishments within leisurely strolling distance, and it is close the Sunday market. Oh, that Sunday market! My point is that the mediocrity of the hotel encourages one to get out and explore the community. Soon, you find you are LIVING and participating in the community instead of just being a superficial tourist. So while I would not discourage anyone from staying here, please get out of the hotel and actively explore the lovely little French community of Tournefeuille just across its threshold.
