I took a one night stay because of business meetings I had. The hotel is very average, the rooms are big enough, quite old fashioned and not so welcoming. The staff at the reception was not nice, almost rude. I don't think it's really 4 stars hotel. Very highly priced
Air conditioning poor! On a lighter note - restaurant wonderful ! Close to amenities - dry cleaning - grocery store - walk to restaurants in the square about 15 minutes. Good for a short stay. Staff very nice.
Overall, I'd rate it above average, but the air conditioning issue for the hotel prevents that. My room had no or minimal A/C. I asked the front desk to look into it and their response was the engineer agreed--the A/C wasn't working. No other room was offered or available. So spent two very sweaty nights toughing it out--lousy sleep. Otherwise an acceptable, safe hotel. Not recommended though for professional travelers that need their sleep, like flight crews etc.
I have stayed at this property many times over the past four years. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a short drive from the airport, within walking distance to many restaurants and shops.
I have booked the Mercure Hyéres thru the company I am working for and I can truly say I had a beautiful stay. The ladies who are working at the front desk were extremely nice and helpful. The room (with balcony) was clean, the bed very comfy and the pool area was quite nice as well. I also loved that I had my car right in front of the door behind a locked gate without paying extra money. Also a plus: There is a supermarket next door. The hotel itself is in a perfect location, close to the most beautiful beaches and only minutes away from the city centre! I would certainly be happy to stay there again.
I stayed for one night during a business trip. I arrived late and left early, so can't say too much about the property. The location was fine for my purposes, but wouldn't be great for visiting the beach. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast had a good selection.
We had booked here as we thought this was a 4-star hotel. Well, it is not. May be this was very modern some 25 years ago. Accor should really change the name here from Mercure into Ibis Budget. First we got a room with a broken aircon. So we were moved rooms, to a so-called "privilege twin room" (where the aircon did function indeed). Both rooms were very tiny, hardly space to move around. Bathroom was tiny. Location is so-so. Happy we had booked only 1 night here...
Smart hotel on a busy road that tries very hard to make you comfortable. Good soundproofing and aircon. Nice breakfast. Nice pool and grounds (though noisy). A 20 minute walk to the many restaurants in the center of town. Some confusion over billing due to our use of LeClub points, but rectified smoothly.
Nice hotel comfortable and clean on the edge of town with a nice pool and sitting out area, but rather noisy as next to a very busy road. But the restaurant is awful for a 4 star hotel. The waiter would rather clear other tables rather than take our order making us wait until he had completed. Ordered the 230g Charolais steak (a point) with baked potatoes and green beans. Received the worst grissly fatty piece of steak and nowhere near 230g with baked potatoes and green beans. It came with fried potatoes and green salad. I could not cut any of the steak and when I complained the waiter brought me a sharper knife...haha! Sent it all back and had the plat du jour which was an uninspiring beef burger (steak hache) with salad for 13 euro! The Mercure selected white wine was not to my taste either. Should have gone to the macdrive next door. Needless to say I Do not recommend restaurant!
First I most praise the staff that were very helpful and nice! The hotel it self is another thing. The rooms are ok at best. The breakfast is probably one of the worst I have had in a civilized country. You cook yourself. Very limited options. Cleaning staff ignore do not disturb sign
