This is an exceptionally rare find. We thoroughly enjoyed our extended family reunion, staying 8 days at this villa. The property is huge (more than 1 hectar), surrounded by forest. It's super quiet, fully private and safe. The pool is great, and the grounds are unbelievable: there is even a creek and an olive garden. The house is large, seems new (2012?) but designed in an old style. It takes about 1 h drive with modest traffic to get to Barcelona, 25-30 min to Girona, 20-25 min to the closest beaches (Blanes and Fenals).The host (Josep) was very helpful.The two significant cons one should be aware of:1) there's no AC in the house, and although it's a thick-stone wall, the temperature inside can climb 28oC. Fans in each bedroom do help but not fully. 2) The wifi in the house relies on a mobile modem and rarely worked for us. The cellular connection itself was also weak. Switching off the automatic provider selection on the phone and connecting to Orange provider made things better. Nonetheless, the place's grandeur outweighs these two issues. We would have rented it again (but probably not in the hottest months of the year :)
