We made several attempts to call the hotel to let them know we were traveling with a dog. The phone rolled to a voicemail box that was full. Tried for DAYS! Concerned about traveling to a hotel we couldn’t reach, I called to book a room at the Mitzpah hotel. It was then I learned the Belvada is not staffed during the winter. Not sure what you’d do with an on-site emergency. Room was okay-bedding was quite musty. Mitzpah had great food and the bar was dog friendly.

The room was spotless, the lobby was spectacular. Employees were kind and friendly. The worst pillows in the world. Room was very spacious and the bathroom was retrofitted with antique floors. Nice place, if the had better pillows. Also, only 1 ice machine in the basement is creepy.

The lobby is wonderful! It would have been nice to have had some tissues in the room. Thank you for having a microwave and fridge in the room. We had a look in the Mizpah as well and liked the much quieter Belvada much better.

Old hotel that was built in 1901. It’s been restored so it’s very historic feeling. Being from another era the bathroom is small with no counter space. Overall, neat old hotel in the middle of town.

Heritage Park was just opened this month. A delightful little niche in next to the hotel. It includes a dog park.
“Belvada” cast in rosy glow, with the light is just right. This is right next to the elevator.
