I was here for 4 days and here are my comments: PROS: - Quiet place. - 4 kid's playgrounds - 3 Swimming pools. Indoor's very hot as all should be. - Gokarts - Garden's view - Friendly staff CONS: - Poor internet speed. 10Mbps for the whole hotel is nasty, moreover when you pay $7 per day. - $9 parking fee per day - No fridge in rooms - No breakfast included - 'Jungle' gets flooded when it rains
When you as hotelier know that is high occupancy you get ready. This hotel is not ready. Check in had a long line (more than 15min), The staff was cold and didnt seemed happy to greet you. The room was ok , but there were no towels!! I called to front 3 times and for 40 min I was waiting the towels for taking a shower!!!! Really? Guests dont have Your time! Breakfast buffet awful, 20 min line for some quesadillas.... if you know there is full house... why you dont get prepared? I Hated paying for that. No apologies, nothing , only insensitive staff. No hello in the halls. The gym was abandoned, lots of insects flying and dead (pics). No water... no tv controls. And personnel of spa didnt say hello. Didnt felt like a Marriott just like an express chain.... dont go, try local boutique hotels better. Mrs.Gonzalez
Last time we went to this hotel with the family it was really nice ! We just went back and it was a total disappointment! The pirate pool for kids was totally unkept for and the kids slips on the floor on the side of the pool ,over and over again . The kids play room and other areas was old and needs to be kept up with very disappointing for me really I expected much more from Marriot!
Super kids friendly, good price, good food. The hotel is beautifully designed with all kind of Mexican arts craft. Kids have lots to do there, kids club, kids food ect. We will definitely come back soon.
The hotel is well situated very secluded but walking distance to a quaint town where you'll have great food. There are limited AC rooms but I finally got AC room 3rd night thanks to Marcos. Reception speaks little to no English but eventually you'll get what you want. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is great when you have Adan working, very professional waiter!!! When Adan not there, best you walk to the town and enjoy your breakfast. If you plan to go when festivities, expect lots of kids and crowded feeling. I would definitely go back for business.
This is our family hotel whenever we go to Ixtapan de la Sal, It is very close to Toluca. The facilities are friendly for children and elderly people. Last visits we've beed there with grandpa who is now in a wheel chair and the hotel is accesible for him. The service is excellent and the food great.
Nothing liKe facing reality versus site pictures. Not a single chair or even tiny corner next to the pools. 😧 We arrived a little early to enjoy the pool... Well!! It is impossible!! There is so much people we cant find a place to even go near. We are sitting on the lobby waiting the check in time. People has been really nice on reception but please!! Be serious when calculating your pool area in comparison with your guest capacity!!!!
This is definitely a family resort, catering especially for young children, with many activities and areas for them to play. The staff are very friendly, who can’t do enough for you. Good value for money as the rooms are large and the price of meals is not too bad. As this is a family hotel, it can be noisy because of the tiled flooring, large rooms and corridors (compounding the noise). It is easy to get to and not far from Mexico City, so a good choice for families with small children.
The hotel is like and old hacienda it even has a nice chapel,WE got a terrific room with a living rooma and bed room (2 bath romos), as an upgrade for our Marriot rewards card As this was a ling weekend for mexico the hotel was very full, the hotel has 3 swiming pools (1 coverred), the service and food in the swiming pool área and gardens ids good they have a big patio were they serve buffet for every meal, the quality of the food as in every buffet is not the best and the food is not very warm, you have a large varity of different mexican food, with almost no salads the staff is very friendly
This was a family trip. All older siblings. The place is beautiful, well maintained with luscious gardens. A place to relax, meditate, talk with friends in a very relaxing atmosphere. There are some activities for children: Robinson Crusoe's house, fusbol, ping pong and other rooms for toddlers. It has indoor and outdoor pools. Not magnificent, but ok. We didn't eat there. They were flexible knowing that we needed to eat our own food (we're kosher). Some things are extra and we knew only until we were leaving, such as parking and some of the games. Not expensive, but it'd have been good to be told about it. The staff is very friendly. Not far from the hotel there are places where you can have a massage, enjoy thermal waters, etc. Other than that, there is not a lot more to do.
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- Onsite dining
- Indoor pool and 2 outdoor pools
