Overall, the property was great, the bedrooms were great. The small pullout couch in the loft was fantastic. It's cosy cute little cottage. The refrigerator was not great, there was no veggie drawer. So the whole bottom part of the fridge was unusable, and the door had no holders so you couldn't put anything in the door. And it was very small, you couldn't even fit a frozen pizza in the freezer. And there was nowhere to put your dry food, simple open shelving beside the upper cabinets. There is space for it, it would've been extremely helpful just to put cereals and bread, etc.. As there's no counter space either. Missing window coverings on the glass doors in the bedroom downstairs. We had to hang a blanket across it to darken the room and add privacy. The downstairs heater was greatly appreciated. And the bed linens that were offered were great. The bathroom was great, the shower was great, the shampoo conditioner, and body wash they offer from a local company called The den was amazing. We went and purchased some of it from the store in town. Communication for when you need a towels or a question was amazing, and they were quick to answer and help. Location was great, walkable to beaches. And quick drive into town, restaurants and shopping.

Over priced cabin

The cabin was okay but definitely could use some maintenance inside. Most of the blinds didn’t work properly, the kitchen sink wasn’t draining properly, kitchen table was rickity, and most importantly the queen bed and pullout bed need replacing as they were very uncomfortable.

We stayed at this property for 3 nights. The location was excellent — very peaceful, with beautiful views and close access to several great trails. However, the house itself is in need of some attention. It’s clear that it could benefit from several upgrades and renovations. With some improvements, this could be a truly wonderful getaway spot. For now, it’s best suited for guests who prioritize location over luxury.

The caretaker at Reef Cottages has no customer service skills and overall was rude to deal with. We booked a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage. On day of checkin, the caretaker texted me to try to avoid using the bath/shower in main bathroom as much as possible due to a leak. Not once did he apologize for the inconvenience. We briefly had to use the shower which caused a huge leak into the living room. We received a small discount but this was only after we had to ask for it. The caretaker only communicated via text and his responses were short and rude. There were lots of ants in the kitchen and overall furniture is rundown. The cottage is overpriced for what you get, not to mention you have to deal with a rude caretaker. I would not recommend staying here.

They have some updated places, which weren't given to us. The Wi-Fi isn't secured since many people went through it. After connecting to their Wi-Fi, my phone started to malfunction, going into video recording and typing without my intention.

We have a really stay at reef point. We stayed in a 2 bedroom with our 2 kids and it was a perfect amount of space. The kitchen had nice finishings, the hot tub was a huge plus and the master loft was great! Since we were with young children, the lack of doors was a minor inconvenience. Overall, it was a really lovely cottage and I hope to come back some day!

The property needed some love and was basic. The furniture was uncomfortable to sit on, but the beds were very comfortable, which was great. On our second night, we had some loud people next door, and when we messaged them, they took care of it immediately. That was nice. I'd book here again and look forward to it.

I understand you can't control guests, but we had a loud truck beside us who always blasted music. Just rude! Clean, conveniently located. Kitchen was compact, but had everything we needed. Hot tub was fabulous, jets were difficult to turn off. Towel deliveries were prompt. Great coffee supplied. Would recommend.

There were at least 30 cabins available, our particular cabin had a few things that we noticed that could change, like adding salt and pepper, emptying the dishwasher so we’re not looking for dishes, the stairs to the cottage need a repair as we tripped going up them, the back door was broken and could not be opened and the grout in the bathroom was long overdue to be replaced, but the worst thing was definitely the bed and pillows, which honestly were very uncomfortable and made sleeping quite difficult. I wouldn’t stay here again. There are much nicer places in Uclulet. The photos of the cabin had a loft and a fireplace. Our cabin had no loft access and no fireplace. There were gouges out of the bathroom door, a rusted heater and lots of other people’s hair on the bathroom floor. It was meh.
