I stayed at this hotel on a business trip with my colleague. My first impression was good, but than when we came back from the city, there was an engagement party, it was so loud like the band it was in our room. I called the reception so many times because we couldn't sleep from the music. It was clean but loudly hotel.
We stayed at Doro for a business trip and were very pleased with our stay. We enjoyed a large room and really liked the warm colours of the interiors. The reception hall and bar are very classy and elegant and the staff were very helpful with our questions and requests at all times. At the buffet breakfast we loved the cheese pies and fig & honey crepes. The hotel is also very conveniently close to a new shopping mall and a short walk from the center for any free time its worth exploring. We recommend staying here as we will again in the near future.
I stayed at this hotel on a business trip with twenty other people and almost all of them,if not all were not happy with the hotel. The rooms are old and not modern (even though on their website it looks all perfect) and they very differ from the first to the third floor. Some people had outdated tv,others has old blankets and sheets with the wholes inside of it,there were also found lizards in the rooms,a broken window, one day we ran out of water etc.. It's not that close to downtown and the hotel's conference venue is the worst venue i have ever been to. It's very small with old tables, not clean at all and too dark. But the worst part of everything was the hotel's food (incl.breakfast and lunch). The food wasn't fresh and it offered small choices during the breakfast and during the lunch it was not prepared well, meaning it was not tasty at all. This wasnot only my impression but the impression of all other 20 participants. The best thing about the hotel are their people, the staff that was extremely nice! The owner must work harder to improve the hotel in general.
Hotel slightly dated but typical of Albania Good breakfast with good choice. Rooms all ok. Again dated but clean. Comfy beds. Good shower etc Location is walkable to city centre. Some plug sockets didn't seem to work
Accepting that Albania is trying to catch up with the rest of Europe for tourism you will be fine. It’s not so much quirky as behind the times. Reception was efficient but with only one lift our group struggled to get to their rooms quickly. Our room 111 was, dated, rather dark, twin beds which were comfortable. A large work surface / set of drawers and length ways mirror. The lighting was not very good for reading but adequate. The TV had a mind of its own – it didn’t work neither did the air – con. The only setting it would accept was 24c and the bathroom air extractor sounded like a wind tunnel. Which considering it turned on automatically when the light was on was really annoying. We travel with our own kettle and makings so we had a relaxing cuppa before the start of the day. Breakfast was buffet style and OK with a reasonable selection. Would we stay again yes but in room 114 which had none of the problems of 111 and was a large airy double bedded room!
Staff is attentive and polite. Room and bathroom were spacious. Location is relatively good - 25 minutes walking to the center. Offer of foods for the breakfast is all right. Big shopping mall is close to the hotel. On the negative side, some guests were loud in the hotel corridors and they woke me up during two nights. Soundproofing is good, though.
I was impressed by the professionalism and warm welcoming . Boutique hotel in a great location, easily walkable to all you may want to see as a tourist in Tirana. Rooms are modern and clean, breakfast delicious, and the staff very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Great stay, would for sure stay here again
As a group leader with a group of 35 passengers I stayed for three nights at this hotel. Good rooms, nice and helpful staff and not a single complain from my passengers! A little bit away from the center, but well within walking distance. I will definitely stay here again with my next group.
We stayed here on the last night of a tour of Albania. It is a modern hotel, comfortable and well appointed but a good 2 miles from Scanderbeg square, the centre of town. It has lifts to all floors and free Wi-Fi in the rooms. It is a few minutes walk from a modern 3 story shopping mall which handily has a big supermarket in the basement. There are also several bars, eating places and money exchange outlets close by. We were in room 207 which was a good size with a king size double bed, a desk & chair, fridge, safe and A/C that worked. There was no iron, ironing board or T&C making facilities. The bathroom was a decent size with an OTB shower and hairdryer. The room was comfortable and well appointed and we had no issues whatsoever. Breakfast was buffet style and included cereal, fruit, pastries, yoghurt, fruit juice, cheese, sliced meats and HB eggs. The hot food was sliced sausage and fried eggs. Breakfast was open until 10am and we went down at 9am only to find very little left. There was no sliced ham, no sliced sausage and only bits and pieces of other items left. Pretty poor really Nothing was replenished during our time at breakfast and anyone coming down later would go hungry. This is about the 4th time we have encountered this problem in Albanian hotels. It would seem to be the policy of most hotels to serve up what they are prepared to offer and once this is gone - tough. Enjoy your yoghurt and cucumber! Apparently a Turkish group had left earlier that morning and most of the breakfast food went with them. Other than the lousy breakfast the hotel was comfortable and fully met our requirements but they need to sort out their catering before it gets my endorsement.
This hotel is amazing. Had such a wonderful time. It's close to city center. The staff is really helpful. The rooms are very comfortable. The neighborhood is quite with bars and restaurants around. The food also. I recommend it. It's worth for a 4 star hotel.
