This place is fine, but probably not as special as we had hoped. It has a rather corporate feel about it – you feel you are there for a conference rather than being on holiday! The food was good though a little expensive and certainly not gastro standard. The staff were young and pleasant enough, but the restaurant certainly could do with someone more confident and experienced at the helm. Our bedroom was small but comfortable, and the shower was excellent.

Recently had a very enjoyable 3 night break in Chateau Tilques. Ideally situated either as a stop over en route to destinations deeper in to France or as in our case a base to explore Northern France. We had a room in the separate building (Pavilion Du Parc) where the pool is. We up-graded to a deluxe room which could accommodate 3 people. With a balcony with 2 chairs and a table for relaxing, our choice was just right. Inside the room there was a very comfortable large double bed, easy chairs and table, TV etc. We ate in the restaurant on one evening, which as we had visited Chateau Tilques in the past (3 times to be exact, the last time was in 1999) felt the choices were limited, however the food was good. Breakfast was very good, cost, 16 euro's per person. Unfortunately the egg boiler, did not boil, my wife placed 2 eggs in, and took them out after around 5 or 6 minutes, and they just ran all over the plate when cracked. Yes, we will stay there again, but will probably not eat dinner in the restaurant. Now part of the Najetti group, it is not what it used to be, sadly.

This is a totally splendid setting for an hotel, set in private grounds and wonderfully quiet. Alas, it is rather over-the-top and does not do itself justice. The en suite was small - sitting somewhat at an angle on the loo was not good! The restaurant was poor - too many waiters in the evening and one overworked girl at breakfast. Bacon not properly cooked. Food bland and overpriced. Too pricey for what you get.

The hotel itself is fine for accommodation, although nothing to get excited about. The restaurant however is dreadful. The service is is absurdly slow, the first pastry course was so poor the whole table shook trying to cut through it. The main course was fine. They seem to have plenty of waiters but they are very good at turning a blind eye to required service.

We spent three nights at Chateau Tilques. The first impression, as we drove into the courtyard was breathtaking. This sense remains into the hall, but was diluted by the very ordinary bedroom. It wasn't unpleasant at all, just underwhelming and not in keeping with the general grandeur of the exterior. The grounds are lovely, spacious and well-kept. The pool, which we didn't use seemed to be an excellent facility. We ate in the dining room on the first night. The setting was lovely. Unlike previous reviewers, we had no negative experience with the service, there were plenty of staff on duty, all of whom, although young were very well drilled and attentive. The food was reasonable, although we have had many better meals in France. All-in-all a positive experience. I suspect that, having seen some of the other rooms, we were in one of the smaller and less well decorated. Maybe if we were to go again, we would opt for a more expensive suite and hope for more space and better decor.

Booked last minute for our 30th wedding Anniversary, emailed and told hotel we wanted a deluxe room ! Lovely looking from the outside, very quiet, room was in a annex not in the chateau!! Disappointed ☹️ , pool lovely, restaurant looked fabulous, food not so ,very disappointing ! Take some nibbles as bar didn’t open until 3 pm had to ask them to open it for a drink 🙄! Staff were friendly ! Only 30 minutes from port 🚢🛳 , lovely place for a wedding but take your own food 🥘

Lovely property. Terrible restaurant. Booked for 7.30 Wine arrived at 8.15, the starters were good. the steak was inedible. The service was slow in spite of a nearly empty restaurant. The room was hot.

Very grand entrance to hotel and then we were shown out the back to our rooms. Rooms in need of and update, a little tired looking common areas. Entry area not clean. Comfy beds, good pool. Restaurant really bad for dinner and worse for breakfast. Gardens nice.

We stayed a little last minute. There seemed to be much confusion as I booked it via trip advisor. and more charges on top of what I paid on line. The staff seemed to struggle to serve any food past 10:30 am even a coffee was hard work!! I would have thought an establishment like this, part of a chain. Would be better prepared to actually have guests. Poor performance but beautiful setting.

We spent two nights in an outbuilding of the “chateau” in a room without airconditioning and an outdated furniture. The bed was alright; the breakfast was rather basic. The dinner in the restaurant was of a higher level and let me decide to give a higher score.
