Other considerations for planning your fun! • Note that the quoted rate assumes up to 8 guests. Violations will result in the booking being cancelled and no refund will be provided, again this is to ensure compliance with local ordinances. This has never been an issue with our amazing guests.
• The property has a large oceanfront yard and gorgeous setting with firepits, palm trees and private beachfront access, ideal to create those memorable family gatherings.
• Regarding pets, we allow dogs (no cats) on a case-by-case basis. The key things we look for to allow a dog to stay is that they are housebroken (potty trained), are small (<20 lbs), non-shedding type dog, that they are mature (not a puppy, i..e >2 years old), not allowed on any furniture, do not cause damage to the floors or anything else and that the owners of the pets thoroughly clean up after them before check-out (i.e. vacuum to remove all pet hair, etc.). We also ask that guests bring a dog bed for the dog to sleep in and not allow them to sleep on the carpet. We just want to keep the place clean, looking new and smelling fresh for every guest. We also have a small pet fee if they meet these criteria. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed but they must meet the pet requirements and be approved in advance, no exceptions.
Two days prior to check-in, we will email you information with the pass code for the electronic locks and other useful information for your stay. In the meantime, we wanted to provide you with some of the info that's included in that email so you can start planning your fun :-)
• Tasting local goodies: o Tillamook Cheese Factory: Great fun at the factory as they provide tours of the cheese-manufacturing process, tasty samples of the local product and delicious ice cream o Blue Heron: Cool shop offering a variety of tastings from dips, brie cheese to wine.
• As for crabbing, Netarts Bay is one of the best locations in Oregon. We love crabbing from the shore, building a bonfire and clamming all at the same time - it's almost like a oceanside triathlon :-)
o You can rent crabbing boats at nearby facilities. You can also purchase shellfish licenses at each location (required for crabbing, clamming and mussels). Just give them a call in advance to reserve the boats and ask them to suggest the best times to go crabbing (they’ll check out the tides for you). They can also give you tips on where to go clamming. For clamming, we typically go for cockles and use garden rakes to get them out of the sand. You can also go for gapers. • Be sure to visit Cape Meares for some incredible sight-seeing and photography/video. It’s just a short drive from our house. • “The triple-play bonanza fun (crab, clam and bonfire all at the same time and steps from the house.” I suggest doing this 1 hour before low tide if you want to go clamming. From the house, walk to the beach access. Toss out your crab traps (ideally low tide so you can get to the deeper channel). One trick is to tie a long rope (like 200’) to the float on your trap so you can tie that off on the shore or to a stick that you push into the sand. Once you toss out your traps, collect driftwood and create your bonfire. Once the fire is started, check your crab traps and then toss them back in for another 30 minute “soak.” Now grab your buckets and walk to the south maybe 100-200 yards and you’ll find the clam beds. You know you’re at the right place as you’ll see hundreds of holes in the sand. Stomp on the ground and if the clams squirt water up at your legs you’re there…it reminds me of the fountains in Portland’s Waterfront. Once you have found the clams, start digging (use a shovel or you can be rough and tough and use your hands…they both work). The clams are about 18-24” below the surface. Once you find a clam, keep searching in the same area and you’ll find many more. It's not uncommon to find 40+ clams in one area and these are the Pacific Gaper Clam (or “horse” clam). Now don’t forget about the crab traps. Check these at 30-minute intervals but you can always leave them soaking longer if you want. Have fun!
• “Coffee, Mussel and Tunnel Adventure (allow ~3 hours and suggest going 1-2 hours before low tide if possible)”. If you enjoy eating mussels or just want a nice long walk with incredible views and great beach combing, this is so much fun. From the house, walk to the beach access. Head north (to the right) so you’ll be walking along the water’s edge with the Pacific Ocean on your left side. Continue walking north until you reach Oceanside. You’ll have breathtaking views of the Three Arch Rocks, but wait, the views and experiences have just begun. At this point, walk to one of the coffee shops just a few steps away and get a large vanilla latte. Head back down to the beach with your latte and then continue walking north until you reach the base of the cliff. You’ll see a dark hole at the base to the right side…that’s the tunnel! Walk through the tunnel…it’s quite large but watch your head. Once you get to the other side, you’ll have a completely different view and OMG…why didn’t we find this place sooner. Ok, you’re still not done having fun. As you exit the tunnel and are in awe of the views, walk along the base of the cliff to the water’s edge. If you’re at low tide, the retreat of the water has now exposed the bounty of the sea! If you look along the edge of the rocks at the base of the cliff, you’ll see all kinds of mussels. You can literally pick and choose what size mussel you want. We suggest bringing a plastic bag (i.e. Safeway shopping bag) and possibly some sharp instruments (like a fishing knife) to remove the mussels from the rocks. If you plan on getting mussels, you'll need a shellfish license. Which you can get from Big Spruce (close to the house at 850 Netarts Highway West in Netarts) or Fred Meyer in Tillamook.
• Also, there's a charming shop close by called the "Cool Stuff" located nearby
• Maximum occupancy per county ordinance is 17 guests total with a maximum of 14 adults + up to 3 children age 12 or under • STR License#: 851-20-000038-STVR • Outdoor-only cameras next to parking spaces/entry are present

This property is better than described; fully stocked with everything imaginable, spacious, comfortable, and positioned perfectly for gorgeous sunsets! Great communication both prior to and during our time there. With 5 bedrooms and various common areas there was plenty of space for our group to spread out. Outdoor showers, 2 washer/dryers, 2 refrigerators, 2 outdoor fire pits...who else has that??? Our trip coincided with king tides and a major storm with very high winds yet we felt cozy and safe as we watched from the decks. Although we did not crab or clam, it was fun to watch those who did when the tide was far out at night.

We were fortunate to stay on a stormy weekend. The expanse of windows made storm watching outstanding and mirrors in the common areas were placed so that you could see the ocean view without facing the windows. The open kitchen was a bonus. It was a short walk easy to the beach which only the heavy weather enthusiasts in our group braved and we're not disappointed. The house was spotless and well maintained. The hosts were pleasant and available to answer questions we had quickly. We recommend staying here no matter the season.

What a wonderful house! Everything about it was just about perfect. This is a beautiful property in a really special area. There is a whole street of rental properties, so you can string together several for a larger gathering. The beach is sandy and walkable for about 2 miles. The kitchen was so well stocked! There were two Le Creuset Dutch ovens, a griddle, plenty of dishes and glassware - everything you'd need to feed your crew - even if you had the house filled to maximum occupancy! It was so nice to be able to walk out the door and down the path to the beach. The path to the beach is a little uneven and rocky - we had to help the 94 and 90-year-olds negotiate their way to the beach. Of course, the kids - 6 to 31-year-olds (ha ha) - could just scamper down to the beach with no problem! The owners were very easy to communicate with and approved a couple of special requests that we needed to make our stay there memorable.I recommend this house to anyone planning a trip to Netarts!! This special house really contributed to making our two days at the beach meaningful for the whole family. Thank you Nick and Lynn!

Our family of 9 (arriving from 4 different places) came together for our annual get together in Oregon. The house was amazing and loaction was right on the beach. There were separate living spaces in the house which allowed for multiple activites simultaneously (ie. watch tv/movies, put togehter a puzzle, play games). As we left our family talked about reserving for our next year family get together. :-)

My family and I had a fantastic time at this beautiful Vrbo property on the Oregon Coast. We traveled from Bothell, Washington, with our dog for a relaxing getaway, and it exceeded our expectations. It's perfectly situated for easy beach access, ideal for family adventures. We spent our days hanging out on the beach and exploring nearby attractions. There's so much to do in the area! Evenings were magical with campfires by the shore, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories. At night, the stars were breathtaking with minimal light pollution. We loved venturing into Tillamook for meals, with tons of great restaurants offering fresh seafood and local flavors. The house was stunning and had everything we needed. It was spacious, clean, and well-equipped for cooking and unwinding. Parking was ample, and the property felt safe with no neighbor issues, giving us peace of mind, especially with kids and our dog.Communication with the owner was excellent. They provided a warm welcome, helpful tips on local spots, and promptly resolved a small issue we had. This was a perfect retreat blending relaxation, adventure, and Oregon Coast charm. Highly recommend it. We'll be back! Thanks for an unforgettable stay.

Family memories
We had four generations aging 1-85 years old and it was a wonderful time for everyone!! The house is gorgeous and spacious. The location is perfect with a very large yard for the kids to play plus the beach and water is safe for the little ones to play for hours. Very easy beach access that the great grandparents were able to navigate easily. We loved doing the crabbing and clamming, walking on the beach, bonfires and roasting s'mores. The kitchen is very well equipped and having a second refrigerator was very helpful. The laundry room is a very nice bonus. Nick was very helpful and accommodating and he was always quick to respond to any of our questions. Great grandma loved it so much that she wants to stay for all summer. Very peaceful and very fun. Great combo. Twelve of us came away with lasting family memories. Thank you so much for providing a wonderful, beautiful, comfortable, spacious home.

Perfect Thanksgiving Getaway
This house and location fit our family perfectly, this home offered us all we needed for a wonderful Thanksgiving week escape. Sunny weather offered lots of sunsets! The loft upstairs has a wonderful layout and bed area at the top along with access to a small outdoor patio – there is also a door to an adjoining suite area including a living room with TV, bathroom, (shared by all who sleep upstairs) and another large bedroom, making it perfect if you have a little one with different sleep hours than the rest of the house. Something notable, we found the stairs to be steep and the only walk-in shower is upstairs. The downstairs bathrooms are large with beautiful full tub showers. The three different living areas downstairs (2 included smart TV’s) make it great for a variety of activities. The kitchen eating areas worked well for us, with 13 there was never a problem seating everyone. The gas cooktop was our best friend, however, the 2 refrigerators/freezers took it over the top - we filled them both! We also found that the kitchen was loaded with a plethora of serving ware and kitchen wares - what a treat! From jumping in the ocean, strolling the beach, finding hidden trails, enjoying the deck and capturing a sunset or two, this house really offered it all. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hated to bid farewell to our week of beach life…family memories were created and cherished moments filled our hearts.

Full Hearts in Netarts! Family celebration to remember!
Our family stayed at this beautiful home for 3 nights. We were 11 people and this house was perfect for our large group ranging from 8-75 years old! The house had 5 bedrooms and 3 baths. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep, hang out, cook and enjoy the incredible views! We were lucky to have good weather and spent a lot of time on the outside deck and yard. We enjoyed the fire pits and rented gear from the hosts to crab and clam right from the beach. The beach access was the best we’d ever had! The gas fireplace warmed us up at night. What a memorable trip!
The host was helpful and responsive. We hope to be back and would highly recommend this home!

Beach Haven
The location of this house is just so awesome!! The entire house looks out on Netarts Bay and the ocean, which is always changing with the tides. There are a lot of pelicans flying by in flocks of 30-40 birds/we watched them diving for fish. There are other birds and wildlife also but these were the most remarkable.
The house suited our needs very well - we were a family gathering of 15-17 people of all ages and the kitchen is well stocked with pots and dishes, etc., the beds were comfortable, there was plenty of space for everyone to pursue different activities. And each morning we would wake up to the amazing view! Just can't stress that enough. I would definitely recommend this for your family stay at the beach

Amazing Beachfront Property
This was our annual Oregon coast family vacation. The home was beautiful with more than enough room for three kids ages 15 thru 17, an 18 yr old, four adults and grandma! Everyone had their own space and beds. Everyone was comfortable. The deck was amazing with beautiful views and a fenced backyard. The beach is right out back of the house. We opted for renting the owner's crabbing supplies and it was a blast! We caught 3 dungeness and several Red Rock. We also were successful clamming! There were two places for fires in the backyard. The kitchen was well stocked and there were two washers and dryers. The second refrigerator was great for our sodas and drinks. The owners were amazing with communication. They were quick to respond to all questions/texts and very accommodating. This property is exceptional and we would highly recommend this home!!
