This is our favourite hotel on transit to and from Poland. The hotel is, although close to the high way, situated in a quiet location. There is spacious parking (free) next to the hotel. The hotel is a perfect basis for visiting the many sites in the area like the Goethe haus and Schloss Belvedere. The hotel rooms are not very modern, but are spacious and equipped with good beds. Because situated at a dead end street in a small village, there's hardly any outside noise. The hotel is well maintained and the rooms are clean. The breakfast is good and varied. Hotel staff is friendly and very service oriented. Especially the night guard/front office manager is extremely friendly and very service and customer oriented.
Poor about sums it up. Introduced myself on arrival as Raddison Gold member and collected my key card's. Rooms are clean but dated its a bit like being in an old people's home to be honest. Room had no coffee facilities. Went to ask if any available and was told they only available on non basic rooms. I asked if any better rooms were available and was told yes. I pointed out that if rooms are available I should receive upgrade as per rewards status. This was then reluctantly given, and I mean reluctant. Other benefits were not forthcoming either. Some chains do this well and others fail. Choice for dinner was limited and expensive. This is an out of the way motel type hotel not city centre place and the food price should reflect that not be set at a premium for the captured audience. Check out i was not asked hiw the stay was which to me is the closer for checking guest satisfaction. This is my first Park Inn stay though not my first Raddison stay and am not impressed.
The hotel itself was ok, reception very nice. Location is close to motorway, just 2 turns and you are there. Room was very cold, turned the battery to max, it took 4h to heat the room and I had to get up at 2am to turn the heat to normal. Lots of noisy little children everywhere. As for the restaurant I would have been better eating at a tankstelle, more satisfaction and politer service. Waiters were beyond rude. As I entered I saw abandoned buffet table with breakfast leftovers that some people were rummaging through. None met me, I found a waiter and asked if there is also a "menu available. She corrected it to "a la carte", turned and run away. I tried to find a table myself till she came back and pointed to a table "sit there". Other people came, were seated, given their menus, I was siting there till different waiter noticed and threw a menu in my face, literally, had to move not to be hit. Wine was either well watered or you have to find different supplier. Creme brule was warm porridge with burnt sugar on top. Should have gone elsewhere but was tired after a long drive.
It´s good to stay here and then crusing around to weimar or erfurt. For Breakfeast it´s okay but nothing more, belive me. The Restaurant is not average it´s "down under" but the price is high like everywhere...
Nice, modern hotel a bit too far away from the town centre. Free parking with lots of space but the surrounding area is not very nice to walk around in. There is a small super-market for convenient shopping next to the hotel parking.
I booked two rooms at once and I payed the value of only one. The breakfast costs, but was good and the parking lot was free. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Restaurant was also very good. Overall, a very good experience!
Good hotel. Good price deals possible. Beds to low. Good washrooms. Excellent breakfast. Buffer dinner is average and Always the same and when groups are there beware because they eat everything; Free parking. Public transport to Weimar is non existent in we.
We stayed 2 nights during Church day at Park Inn Weimar. + free/ lots of parking lots + free Wi-fi + very nice bar & great live music + swimming pool + outside dining area - no air-conditioning in our room - bed is small and not very comfortable - no chairs on the balcony - sauna was defekt during our stay We had a special deal which included buffet dinner, 2 hours guided-citytour, local specialty so the price was a bargain for us. When we checked in, we were greeted quite friendly. But by check-out, the staff was quite cold. My only suggestion is that some staff can use a bit smile. And be aware that during hot summer the room can be very warm. Despite some shortcomings, I gave this hotel 4 stars because I had a great time at the bar enjoying the live music and spending time with my friends. The staff at the bar was all very nice and even found time to chat with us.
We were on our way by car from Dresden to Koblenz and chose to break our journey here for the night. The hotel room was clean and comfortable, and the room we had was very quiet. Staff were courteous. There is a large cap park with charging bays for electric cars. We dined at a restaurant that was a short walk from the hotel. The next morning was were well rested and ready to continue our journey west.
As menioned in the title, has everything a good hotel needs to have. But the reason for 3 stars is that their staff is acting like it hurts to give a smile. Besides that, have a really nice restaurant and bar.
