Jenni and Andrew welcome you to their old farmhouse, tastefully renovated, perfect for holidays with family or friends, quietly located just 10 minutes from the Châtellerault TGV station and 15 minutes from the historic city of Richelieu.
The main house dates from 1740 and was built for Madame Raintrie. The renovation reflects the rustic charm of the time while providing all the modern comfort you need for a great holiday.
On the ground floor, a large fitted kitchen with a terrace ideal for al fresco breakfast, a dining room that can accommodate up to 12 people, a cozy living room with fireplace, and a bathroom with washing machine .
On the first floor, the large living room is the heart of the house, whether you want a quiet evening in the very large sofa (a home theater with overhead projector, DVD, blu-ray and Sonos, Netflix and Deezer speaker are available), or more festive around the bar (filled upon arrival), with billiards and table football.
The 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, therefore one with bath, are distributed between the first and second floors. Each room is equipped with USB sockets, Nespresso machines and hairdryer. Bed and bath linen is provided.
The exterior consists of a large garden with secure swimming pool. A barn is furnished with a table tennis table and a basketball hoop. Around the swimming pool and in the main garden, several garden lounges await you, where you can sit as you wish, enjoy the sun and the fields as far as the eye can see.
Peckish ? Come serve yourself directly in the organic vegetable garden or sit in the barbecue area. If desired, it is even possible to bake pizzas in the bread oven! The surrounding farms will satisfy your cravings for butter and fresh cheese. Bread and pastries are delivered every Monday and Thursday.
The house is an ideal starting point for visiting the castles of the Loire, or even the many wine estates. Tours, Poitiers, Chinon and Saumur are less than an hour away.
