The hotel rooms appear to still have the original furniture from when it was first built some 50-60 years ago. If the practically pre-war built in nightstand radio/tv controls had been hooked up to work with the new technology (flatscreen tv etc) it could have actually been really cool. We were baffled by how old these rooms really were -and since we were there during summer everything was empty and deserted, which gave it an almost eery, The Shining'y feel. Walking through the tiny wooden hallways the walls practically screamed REDRUM! We were there only to climb Kozzy and just needed a bed, for which it was fine, but if I'd come here for a ski vacation I'm not sure it would have been up to par. Also, front desk didn't know anything about climbing Kozzy in other ways than taking the ski lift, which we thought was weird. They supposedly get thousands and thousands of people every year in the summer that do this hike, so there should at least be some kind of info available at the hotel. That said, food was amazing. Hotel breakfast, Cascades dinner, even the nachos at the bistro/bar were delicious!
