While this unit is located in a desirable location on the golf course, we were significantly disappointed in the way the unit was kept up: the decor is outdated; no light in refrigerator; light bulbs were out in every room save for the basement; many of the pans were dirty with filth buildup on the handles; the cupboards holding the pans were in disarray; the furniture is visibly ‘tired’ and dirty, as was the carpet, which had many stains; the bathrooms were not clean—the tracks on the sliding shower doors had red mold and build up; and the washer has debris and build up on the rim and lid. And while there were many utensils, there was only one spatula and almost all the utensils were worn. The pans (e.g. silestone) were very scratched; the soap dispensers in the showers had layers of different soap piled one on top of the other with the ones on the bottom looking old; and then there was insufficient toilet paper in the bathrooms. While our relatives had a good time and the unit met the minimal needs for our group, this is not a 5-star property. We rented two other Crystal Mtn properties at the same time and they were vastly different in positive ways: clean, newer furniture and decor, appliances were modern, and the bedding was comfortable and crisp. It was apparent to us that the subject unit would not satisfy CM’s higher standards from this property.
