Perfect cabin getaway for two

Matthew’s open concept cabin was just lovely. It is located in a quiet remote area but still close enough to see sites such as Sleeping Bear Dunes, Northpoint Light House, hiking, and more. The bed was comfortable and there were all the amenities you would need to cook, relax, and enjoy your time. The view of the river on the property is amazing and we even fell asleep seeing the moon and stars from where the bed is located. Unique design and small touches throughout the cabin makes it feel welcoming and like you are at home. Matthew was great to communicate with and responded in a timely manner. Highly recommend if you want a peaceful place to see the colors and enjoy the upper lower peninsula of MIchigan.

The perfect peaceful place!

Matthew was a pleasure to deal with. The property is a hidden gem. It is beautiful, quiet, and just as pictured. The bed and linens are comfortable and waking up to the sounds of nature and gorgeous view is hard to beat. There are many nice touches provided. It is close to everything but you would never know it. Iron Fish food is excellent!

Idyllic Setting

Perfect setting to get away from it all. The place is great, clean and the listing pictures are accurate. Definitely recommend checking out the Iron Fish Distillery down the road

Comfortable cabin with thoughtful touches

My husband and I recently enjoyed a long weekend at this serene spot. The cabin itself is comfortable, making you feel at home right away. It's outfitted with both luxurious and thoughtful touches, from plush towels and stainless steel cookware to marshmallow sticks and a hot water kettle. The area surrounding the cabin is beautiful; we watched a deer slowly pick its way across the back yard while laying in bed one morning, and later spotted a bald eagle flying just overhead from our seat on the porch. There are also many hiking trails just a short drive away. We picked a different one each day, exploring wooded paths and taking in the amazing views along the Lake Michigan coastline. Last, but not least, Matthew was a fantastic host. Not only was he accommodating, allowing us to charge our electric car on-site and answering questions sent through the app quickly, but he was also welcoming and considerate, meeting us with a mask on to show us around and leaving behind some local treats for us to enjoy.

Michigan Paradise

Northern Michigan beauty is unmeasurable. Having the opportunity to stay at Matthew's lovely A-frame home was the icing on the cake. This extraordinary home is off the beaten path, immersing us in nature, right on the Betsie River, and that gorgeous Michigan night sky. Yet close enough for trips to Lake Michigan, Frankfort, Crystal Mountain and numerous other adventures. We were spoiled by the welcoming comforts of the home. Matthew greeted us upon arrival, giving us a complete tour of the home. There was a wonderful gift basket that we indulged in that evening. Every amenity was available -- shower was stocked with decadent smelling soap and shampoo. The towels were plush and in abundance. Coffee for the morning fix. Filtered water. Tea. Truly enjoyed tucking in the comfortable bed at night and being able to see the stars twinkling in the sky. Highly recommend staying here. There is something magical about the home that makes the stress of everyday life disappear.

Wow, what an awesome place!

Matthew did a great job of communicating with us prior to check-in, and answered a few questions after we were there. The house exceeded our expectations. It's an amazing layout, in a very private setting. The bed was very comfortable, we had all of the amenities we needed, the kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils we needed. You can tell the homeowners like to cook! There was a nice gift basket when we arrived, and Matthew was there to show us around. The five star rating is well deserved, and we're already trying to figure out when to get back next year.
