There is a lack of professionalism, so I would very much not recommend booking any safari through them. They were not available at the time of the booking to facilitate communication, so I didn't end up having a safari. Long periods of no power (other places nearby would sometimes have backups, so yes this was their problem). That said the room itself was quite nice and clean, and they had battery powered lamps available so you could actually see it. Their demeanor at the end of my stay where they accused me of not paying before leaving (then shortly after recanted) was not my favorite. Needs more accountable management.

Art Yala SCAM

This Hotel is a scam. I booked room via hotel.com and hotel management directly contactec me as well as sent an email of cancellation of booking due to non availiboltu of room. It happened on 08/08/2025 and I am still chasing the refund of the money I paid. I am contacting hotel.com customer service again n again and they say that they are recieving any response from hotel.

First of all,the staff were so welcoming and so attentive,the hotel itself is beautiful and very modern/simplistic,which is a style we liked very much. They organised the safari at Yala for us which was brilliant - only wish we had stayed longer - our favourite hotel in Sri Lanka

A great stay at Art Yala. The hotel and service were fantastic, as was the safari they helped arrange. It’s also a very relaxing place and we felt really looked after during our stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Art Yala is an amazing experience

We had an amazing experience staying at art Yala towards the end of our 3 week holiday in Sri Lanka. We were made to feel special from the moment we arrived, with cold towels and a fresh fruit drink. We were up early for a safari, so a delicious breakfast hamper was provided at 4.30am. on return from our safari, again we were greeted with much needed cold towels and a fresh fruit drink. The rooms are immaculate and attention to detail exemplary. Great shower and bathroom. Breakfast on the morning of departure was the best we have had in Sri Lanka, as we ate our fill with local delicacies. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Easily the nicest place we have stayed in Sri Lanka and we would not hesitate to recommend.

Las instalaciones del hotel estaban muy bien, sobre todo, para lo que te encientras en el país. Destaco la limpieza del lugar y la comodidad de la habitación. Como única pega poner que teníamos pagado el desayuno pero los chicos del hotel decían que no. Sin ganas de discutir ya y, como uno de los dias nos fuimos de safari pronto y sólo nos quedaba un día de desayuno decidimos irnos y desayunar por ahí, pero esos errores cansan cuando estás de vacaciones y reservas. Adjunto foto donde se ve que el desayuno estaba contratado. No se si es fallo del hotel o de la página Hoteles.com

Für uns für eine nach perfekte Location. Sehr sauber. Gutes lokales Essen. Westlich Essen ist auch verfügbar. Superfreundliche Personal. Gesamte Anwesen ist sehr sauber. Man kann hier barfuß laufen.

Klein aber fein

Die Unterkunft bietet nur zwei Zimmer und ist deshalb sehr familiär. Die Lage ist wunderschön, man kann den Sonnenuntergang über dem See beobachten. Der Besitzer und die Angestellten sind sehr besortg um die Gäste. Safaris können in der Unterkunft gebucht werden. Das Frühstück ist top (unbedingt das SriLanka Frühstück bestellen).
