It was disappointing to see a prestigious brand with a lousy washroom. Leaking shower, no provision for water to drain from the washroom. The entrance was too dull and didn't feel like a Taj property even though staff was really warm and welcoming. Didn't give a feel of Vivanta. Won't recommend this property for this price.
We had stayed there for 2 nights & 3 days. Though the hotel is only 10 yrs old, it looks 30 yrs old in terms of the maintenance of the furniture in rooms. The stay was decent otherwise as all the facilities were provided. Being a vegetarian, the options in buffet dinner and breakfast were very less. Due this, when we requested sambhar and chutney, they served us the same sambhar and chutney for all three days. The food management is very poor and the sweet dish (payasam) had no sweetness and no garnishing at all, making it a bland dish Overall, its a hyped place and definitely not worth the money.
Terrible 3 star hotel appearance. Hotel rooms a old and poorly maintained. Damaged and repainted furniture, eye souring to look at, torn fabric on sofa, broken electrical sockets. Not a Taj experience i was expecting.
Overall experience was very good with excellent service standards from all departments . The highlight was the team in the Restaurant who was always available to anticipate our needs & assist accordingly .
Writing this review after having been stayed here on 4 different times within a period of 8 months. Each time stayed for 1 or 2 nights. Lastly stayed on 27 to 29th March, 2018. Rooms are quite big and spacious. The bed is very comfortable. The rooms have a pleasant smell. There was no bad odour as we enter the room, as i have observed in few other big hotels. The rooms facing swimming pool has good view. Has been fortunate to stay in swimming pool facing side during 3 times. The TV in the room is not a Full HD one, though the airtel settop box has subscription to HD channels. The Bathroom is small and feels bit old, though the management appears to have made sincere efforts to keep it fresh. The position of the toilet is also not comfortable in many bathrooms. The breakfast spread is extensive, one of the best in Trivandrum compared to Hycinth and Hilton Garden-in. Lives upto the name of TAJ. More live options. Food is tastier as well. Coming to service, if the hall is almost full, then the response of the staff is bit delayed.. quite understandable.. Other wise, the service quality is top notch. Had dinner buffet once in the restaurant Fifth Element. The buffet was quite expensive at Rs 1917 per person (inclusive of taxes) and spread was also limited. Would not recommend if u want a sumptuous dinner. Also had momos in their Chinese restaurant Chinapolis. The taste was good. The reception staff has been very accommodating and helpful. Overrall, a very pleasant stay.
We had my sister's wedding reception over here way back in August 2009. The hall was beautiful and the food was excellent. We also came here on the night of the wedding near the swimming pool for a function and the food was great and we all had a lovely time
We stayed twice in March for a combined total of 6 nights and we were blown away by the service and friendliness of the team. The front desk personally arranged a visit for us to a Ayurveda Hospital, we had a magic spa treatment and we ate like Kings. A special mention to Vishnu and others in the restaurant who went out of their way to help us try all the very best dishes out of Kerala and India itself.
Went there for a weekend visit. An exceptional experience. This was perhaps the best service I've experienced in a hotel. Really felt like a home away from home. The staff were warm, helpful and friendly. The hotel itself has the usual trappings - two restaurants, a bar, pool and health club. The food was great, excellent spread for breakfast. The rooms are well appointed and reasonably spacious. It's located near the city centre in a non tourist area. Enough shopping and food options around. Overall, highly recommend the hotel.
This hotel is a nice place to stay and is recommendable to travelers. The hospitality of staff is nice and hotel posts for great service. The food and amenities are perfect and rooms are well greatly done. Thanks ...
Very good hotel nice food ...ample options in breakfast and food quality is very good... I loved my stay of 4 days.. its nice on the center of the city... Staffs are very nice and well behaved...i would love to stay again and again Its value for money
