The Wee Nook, just 3 miles from Carver Landing!

The Wee Nook is a cottage tucked away in a peaceful, lovely location near the national park. Use it as a base for hiking nearby trails, or floating the Buffalo River (just 3 miles from Carver Landing). There are six Highland cows that roam the pastures surrounding the home, along with plenty of wildlife on the property. There's a wet-weather creek that flows from approximately December to April (depending on rain fall). Come relax in the gorgeous Ozarks!

***I will send you a map pin, as the address isn't recognized by map apps*** Also please note the home is down a mile long gravel driveway, with a steep hill. I've had no trouble in my 2wd SUV, but I don't recommend motorcycles!!

This house is perfect for a couple’s getaway. The house is beautifully decorated inside. Downstairs: The sofa and chair are very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Very well outfitted. The bathroom is large with a beautiful shower with three types of shower heads. The full size washer and dryer worked great and were quiet. The smart tv is already logged into the “wee nook’s” own Netflix account but you can also log into your own other streaming services. The WiFi was strong and fast. Upstairs: the large bedroom had its own heating/cooling unit so it was very comfortable, the king bed was really comfortable, there is also a large comfy chair/chaise. There are electrical outlet/charging stations conveniently located on both sides of the bed. The stairs are a little steep but there are very sturdy hand rails and a nightlight to help. The property is gorgeous. The highland cows were very friendly and loved head scratches and bananas. We absolutely loved this place and will tell everyone we know about it. It is also very convenient to Jasper if you plan to float the Buffalo.

We enjoyed our second stay at the Wee Nook as much as our first, and we will be back in the future. It is pristinely clean and extremely comfortable. Ashley, the host, is top notch. Everything was peaceful and lovely.

We stayed there two nights, and it was perfect! The nook had everything you could possibly need as far as amenities go. From the bedding, which, by the way the bed is unbelievably comfortable, I believe it’s Tempur-pedic and the pillows are as well, to the toiletries and the kitchen. Everything was very nice. There’s a Harps grocery store in town. We went and got some groceries. A smaller selection, but good quality. The pots and pans are enough to cook some good meals. You might have to do some dishes depending on how much you plan on eating out. There’s plenty of places to eat while you’re out sightseeing. But we were able to fry some cheeseburgers the night we got there. Made biscuits and gravy for breakfast and then we fried some steaks that night so if you do want to get some groceries and cook in you definitely have the option. Excellent Wi-Fi satellite Netflix to come in and relax and be lazy. I honestly can’t say enough good things about the place. The host was absolutely wonderful! She was very sweet and couldn’t have been more accommodating. I cannot recommend this place enough and I cannot wait to stay there again. There are so many things to do in that area. We were there two days and didn’t even scratch the surface. Such a wonderful experience!

This little home that is nestled at the bottom of a country lane is the PERFECT place for a quiet, pituresque getaway. The gorgeous nearby mountainsides full of pines, sycamores, oak, and elm trees along with the Buffalo River winding nearby made it absolutely even more stunning. The Highland cattle were so precious and made my absolute day each and every day that I spent giving them treats and pets or just watching them peacefully graze. I LOVED it hereand will definitely return asap. Ashley and Andrew were amazing hosts and made certain that we felt at home, comfortable, relaxed, and at ease in their home away from home; the Wee Nook. This was the cleanest and most precious rental I have ever stayed in. I cannot say enough good things about the home, the area, the people, or the cows. Love. Love. Love. Can I pet that baby cow!!!?!!!

Cannot say enough about how great this place was and how nice the property owner is! Really close to 3 Buffalo River access points. I recommend going to the Carver one! I fed the highland cows too! Had a wonderful stay.
