Communication with the host was great. They were responsive and having the check-in information on hand several days ahead of arrival was appreciated. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels and dishes for our group. We also enjoyed the outdoor patio/seating area and that the laundry was accessible from both cabins. The view of the mountains was lovely and grocery/other stores and restaurants were nearby. While the description of the house was not necessarily inaccurate, it was somewhat misleading. While there is a full kitchen, the oven is extremely old and small and there was a note advising not to use it. We had not planned to feed 9 people out of the toaster oven. The upstairs/loft room was extremely hot. Fans were provided, but there was very limited air circulation. There are no upstairs windows and the screen cover for the door does not reach all the way to the ground. It also smelled very musty/fishy, specifically in the loft and in the living area, and mouse droppings were found in several places (understood that this may just be the reality of being in farm land, but we were not sure if mice were contributing to the smell). Overall a fine place to stay, but a few improvements could make it excellent.
